Fall Equinox horoscopes

panthers

Fall Equinox at 6:54pm 9/22, Sun into Libra.
Venus retrograde October 5th.  Focus is on relationships this Fall.
Libra: Love, Beauty, Harmony, Socializing, Parties, Negotiation, Friendship, Teamwork.

This is a big moment. The Autumnal Equinox marks the midpoint between Summer and Winter. Today we have equal day and equal night. Libra is about balance, harmony, justice, and partnerships of ALL kinds. If something feels out of balance in your life right now, you’re going to really feel it – and hopefully do something about it.

Today is referred to as the festival of Mabon. This is the second harvest festival of the year, the first being Lammas (August 1st) and the third being Halloween (October 31st). Whatever was started in March this year is now coming to fruition. It’s harvest season, where we see the result of our labors. We reap what we have sown. It’s the time to take stock of where you are in your life right now – what you’ve brought forth and what you still want to manifest. Have you been keeping your promises this year? Especially ones made to yourself?

Today we feel the turn of the wheel of the year. Standing in the middle of equal daylight to equal nighttime, we look at BALANCE. Are we out of balance in our lives? Are we taking care of ourselves? Are we working hard AND making time for our dreams and having fun too?

Mabon also relates to mid life; to our 40’s and 50’s when we have accomplished some things, but also might harbor regrets. The Equinox is a time to give yourself credit for all the wonderful things you’ve created and the positive difference you’ve made in the world. Honor your courage! And how much smarter you are now than when you were young.

This holiday was pivotal in ancient times, since a good final harvest was crucial to surviving the winter months ahead. Relationships are reassessed so we can decide who is best to take into the harsh winter with us. If someone is draining your energy, now might be the time to let go.

The horoscopes below take the Sun into account, but focus on your Rising sign. The Rising Sign, or Ascendant (AC) is the most accurate reflection of your chart when reading most horoscopes. You can calculate your Rising sign here.

Aries: The Ram
Partnerships of all kinds will be significant in your life over the next month. The Sun is in your House of Partnerships, bringing a new shift in relationships, faith, healing, expansion and balance. Your ruler, Mars, is newly Direct. After a summer of delays you can now move forward with confidence. Watch the Full Moon rise on Monday, it will be in Aries.

Taurus: The Bull
Your ruler, Venus, is in Scorpio, the sign of relationships and your polarity. Tomorrow begins a foreshadowing of the lessons this season will have for you. They aren’t bad or good, just themes for you to work on. You’ve had some tests with Work, Health and Habits over the last year, but with the entrance of the Sun into this area, you should be able to gain some new traction in daily life matters.

Gemini: The Twins
The Sun is in Libra, putting focus on your Romantic and Creative Life. You can also attract romance! Be sure and get out and socialize a lot. Good luck comes in the form of creative partnerships. Your ruler, Mercury, went Direct recently, so you are in forward motion again.

Cancer: The Crab
Cancerians love their home environments, so you will be thrilled to know that the skies are sending you ample opportunities for home improvement and social gatherings.
Autumn also supports you healing your ties with your family of origin, and increasing your self knowledge and faith. It’s a time of digging into your roots and healing your soul.

Leo: The Lion
The Sun is shining in your House of Learning and Communication this month. You will love this because your self expression will get a huge boost. You will set the pace with regards to speaking, creativity and visibility in your community. Meanwhile Saturn brings maturity and discipline to your art, and helps you manifest your ideas.

Virgo: The Virgin
Your ruler, Mercury, is giving you a last birthday present by turning Direct in your sign earlier this month. New, positive, forward motion has begun. Meanwhile the Sun is in Libra, and the focus shifts to your financial world. For the next couple of months ask yourself, what do you value most? And what is the truth about what you value?

Libra: The Scales
It’s birthday season! The Sun has entered Libra and the spotlight is on YOU! It’s the rebirth of your identity for the next solar year. Who are you now? It’s time to set goals for where you’d like to be this time next year. Your ruler, Venus, is in Scorpio giving some intensity to your relationships.

Scorpio: The Scorpion
All the action is in your 12th House of spiritual connection, solitude, artistry, universal connection and the soul. It’s the place you retreat to for healing, safety and security. The inner planets will be visiting you there over the next month to assist you in clearing cobwebs and brightening up the place. Your ruler, Mars, is traveling with Saturn through Aquarius and Capricorn, bringing focus to your career and social circle.

Sagittarius: The Archer
Making new friends and lots of money? Your ruler Jupiter (good fortune) is hosting a party in your 11th House of Gains, Wishes, and Friends right now. Jupiter expands your social circle and helps money flow in, and Saturn and Pluto in your 2nd House ensure you won’t spend it all on frivolous things.

Capricorn: The Goat
Saturn, your ruler, is moving through Capricorn and restructuring how you experience the world. There’s a new maturity in how you see things, and a new discipline in your actions. What’s the reality of your ambitions, and are you including your spiritual life in your plans? Do they still suit you and do you need a change? Saturn isn’t big on changes, but DOES support your climb up the steep mountain to reach your goal. Think about what that goal is and shift it if necessary. Remember you have Pluto in your sign right now, and that’s a VERY powerful ally. He brings up toxic energy to be purged and healed.

Aquarius: The Water Bearer
The Sun is traversing your House of Life Perspective right now. The harvest season is a time of education, training and travel. The transit of Jupiter in Libra expands your mind, faith, self knowledge and personal philosophy. Your ruler, Uranus, is in Taurus which makes you slow down and get grounded.  Patient, methodical approaches bring confidence, optimism and ambition to your humanitarian goals.

Pisces: The Fishes
All the action is in your 8th house this Fall! This area of your chart represents Other People’s Money – i.e. banks, loans, real estate, rentals and credit. Don’t overspend. Kinda boring stuff for artistic Pisces, but with the Sun and Jupiter there it’s a great time to negotiate with authority and solidify your relationships. You can attract helpful people to your life right now. This house also relates to SEX, so it could be a hot and steamy year for you!

Intimacy

love-couple
“We can let ourselves be close to people.

Many of us have deeply ingrained patterns for sabotaging relationships. Some of us may instinctively terminate a relationship once it moves to a certain level of closeness and intimacy.

When we start to feel close to someone, we may zero in on one of the person’s character defects, and then make it so big it’s all we can see. We may withdraw, or push the person away to create distance. We may start criticizing the other person, a behavior sure to create distance.

We may start trying to control the person, a behavior that prevents intimacy.

We may tell ourselves we don’t want or need another person, or smother the person with our needs.

Sometimes, we defeat ourselves by trying to be close to people who aren’t available for intimacy – people with active addictions, or people who don’t choose to be close to us. Sometimes, we choose people with particular faults so that when it comes time to be close, we have an escape hatch.

We’re afraid, and we fear losing ourselves. We’re afraid that closeness means we won’t be able to own our power to take care of ourselves.

In recovery, we’re learning that it’s okay to let ourselves be close to people. We’re choosing to relate to safe, healthy people, so closeness is a possibility. Closeness doesn’t mean we have to lose ourselves, or our life. As one man said, “We’re learning that we can own our power with people, even when we’re close, even when the other person has something we need.”

Today, I will be available for closeness and intimacy with people, when that’s appropriate. Whenever possible, I will let myself be who I am, let others be who they are, and enjoy the bond and good feelings between us.”

Virgo New Moon

27858229_1795667403790793_5078408995203136290_n
New Moon at 17 Virgo:  Sunday, September 9th at 11:01am Pacific.

Virgo, the Virgin, is an Earth sign ruled by Mercury. We just came out of a Mercury retrograde, so things are moving forward again after a retrograde summer of delay and introspection.

Many of the planets are in great places right now i.e. in their rulership or exaltation.

Mercury is exalted in Virgo.
Venus in her rulership in Libra.
Mars just went direct; exalted in Capricorn.
Saturn is direct in it’s rulership of Capricorn.

That’s a lot of earthy energy in the skies.

The element Earth is about being practical and manifesting things. With Neptune (the planet of dreams) in it’s natural home of Pisces, we have a wonderful opportunity to turn our dreams into realities. You have to make it real though, and Virgo helps us look at our organization and habits. What is it you want to bring into your life? Are you organized and spending time each day on achieving it?

Virgo is self improvement, details, analysis, planning, perfection and service. We make a practical plan of action to manifest the huge ideas spawned this summer with the Leo sun. Virgo is pure in nature (the Virgin), and is symbolized by a single woman standing alone on her own two feet. Such a powerful image for women today. She is whole unto herself, independent, and can make decisions that actualize her potential.

Virgo integrates; bring the parts together into a whole – but can also be a harsh self critic with the constant striving for perfection. We need to integrate gentleness, self love, and allowing ourselves and others to be imperfect while we walk out practical path of manifestation.

The main thing is to face the reality of your life. If you’re able to do that you can accomplish anything, because the rules of this planet are based in physical reality. Grasping onto fantasies keeps our egos in charge – feeling that we can accomplish things with no effort. We have a spiritual need as humans to surrender our egos and find meaning.

…so see where you’re headed
…do the Work to make your reality better
…take responsibility for how you’ve lived up until now
…start TODAY!

Jack Reynor and Bella Heathcoate in “Strange Angel”

Did you see the first season? I loved it. We’re still waiting to hear if the show has been renewed for a second season.

The post below really sums up my thoughts about “Strange Angel” – the CBS series on rocketry scientist and Magick practitioner Jack Parsons. Although many of the ritualistic sequences are presented out of sequence or completely fabricated, I’m thrilled that Thelema is finally being created for a mainstream audience.

What do you think of it?

Here’s the article by Peter Pendragon:

“Be blessed in the name of man. And if any god deny you for this, I will deny that god.”
– Jack Parsons

“On June 14, 2018 e.v. the CBS All Access service premiered Strange Angel, a streaming series based on George Pendle’s book, Strange Angel: The Otherworldly Life of Rocket Scientist John Whiteside Parsons.

There have been several reviews from the usual media outlets (Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, etc.) as well as some preliminary dismissive comments online from my fellow Thelemites with regards to its historical accuracy, and the critics, Thelemic and otherwise, have been decidedly mixed in their opinions. So was the show any good? This first ever media portrayal of one of the most prominent Thelemites in the 20th century, who helped found the Jet Propulsion Laboratory — how was his history, his memory treated in this first of its kind program?

Yes, it was a fictionalized account with most of the characters names changed from their real life counterparts, or in some cases new people invented out of whole cloth. But the pilot’s inherent narrative, its juxtaposed elements of science and Magick, and its full throated embrace of Thelema itself is what stood out to me. “Do what thou wilt” is not just used in the show’s advertising as a summer series catchphrase — it actually provides a link to the narrative that is important in establishing the main themes of the pilot.

The cast is solid, the writing is allowed to take its time and explore the world of the series, and, visually, the show is a typical treat we have come to expect from Ridley Scott, who also produces The Man in the High Castle, which shares this show’s high end production values. Honestly, it was weird, surreal watching this, after having been in the O.T.O. for so long, recognizing the many easter eggs left for Thelemites, it seems, a small group of fanboys and fangirls to cater to, but what the hell. I noticed that they were quoting Class A stuff directly, and, God love ‘em, they even got the “A Ka Dua” mantra right. Now, they did modify the rituals, of course, which I frankly expected — it’s that the pilot was able to get so much right that was surprising. Yes, it’s weird watching what is essentially a streaming soap opera set in the early world of Magick and Thelema, but maybe now, after all these years of dwelling in the countercultural underground, perhaps it is time for the story of Jack Parsons and the O.T.O. to come out of the shadows.”

Mountain of Truth

doorofperception.com-lebensreform-monte_verita-6

Monte Verita, Ascona Switzerland

I came across the most amazing piece of history the other day: the free spirits of the art community at Monte Verita in 1915. These people created an open society of artists and philosophers; people that wanted to explore the potential of the human spirit.

What strikes me are the huge similarities between this story and our current society in 2018. These people that escaped to the mountains of Switzerland were rebelling against mass consumerism, war, intolerance, and celebrity culture. They created the first alternative community, assimilating all groups of people under the banner of pacifism and free thought. Many accomplished philosophers and radicals joined them – including Hermann Hesse.

This movement is one of the catalysts for the original hippie movement in 1967. It’s not about obliterating your mind with drugs, or trying to escape reality, it’s about creating a free, human, utopian society on earth. Article below.

There’s a movie about it that came out in 2014 called “FREAK OUT!” if you’re interested in learning more about it!

monte

Article:  “Monte Verità: “The place where our minds can reach up to the heavens…
In the nineteenth century and at the beginning of the twentieth, the Ticino republic became a gateway to the south, and favourite destination of a group of unconventional loners who found in the region, with its southern atmosphere, fertile ground in which to sow the seeds of the utopia they were unable to cultivate in the north.
The Ticino came to represent the antithesis of the urbanised, industrialized north, a sanctuary for all kinds of idealist. From 1900 onwards Mount Monescia above Ascona, Switzerand, became a pole of attraction for those seeking an “alternative” life. These reformers who sought a third way between the capitalist and communist blocks, eventually found a home in the region of the north Italian lakes.

The founders came from all directions :
Henry Oedenkoven from Antwerp
the pianist Ida Hofmann from Montenegro
the artist Gusto
and the ex-officer Karl Gräser from Transylvania.

United by a common ideal they settled on the “Mount of Truth” as they renamed Monte Monescia. Draped in loose flowing garments and long hair, they worked in the gardens and fields, built spartan timber cabins and found relaxation in dancing and naked bathing, exposing their bodies to light, air, sun and water. Their diet excluded all animal foods and was based entirely on plants, vegetables and fruit. They worshipped nature, preaching its purity and interpreting it symbolically as the ultimate work of art: “Parsifal’s meadow”, “The rock of Valkyrie” and the “Harrassprung” were symbolic names which with time were adopted even by the local population of Ascona who had initially regarded the community with suspicion.
Their social organization was based on cooperation, and through it they strove to achieve the emancipation of women, self-criticism, and new ways of cultivating mind and spirit with the unity of body and soul.

The intensity of the single ideals fused in this community were such that word of it soon spread across the whole of Europe and overseas. Gradually over the years the community itself became a sanatorium frequented by theosophists, reformers, anarchists, communists, social democrats, psyco-analysts; followed by literary personalities, writers, poets, artists and finally emigrants of both world wars: Raphael Friedeberg, Prince Peter Kropotkin, Erich Mühsam. They declared Ascona “the Republic of the Homeless”: Otto Gross who planned a “School for the liberation of humanity”, August Bebel, Karl Kautsky, Otto Braun, even perhaps Lenin and Trotzki, Hermann Hesse, Franziska Gräfin zu Reventlow, Else Lasker-Schüler, D.H Lawrence, Rudolf von Laban, Mary Wigman, Isadora Duncan, Hugo Ball, Hans Arp, Hans Richter, Marianne von Werefkin, Alexej von Jawlensky, Arthur Segal, El Lissitzky and many others.
After the departure of the founder for Brazil in 1920 there followed a brief bohemian period at the Monte Verità which lasted until the complex was purchased as a residence by the Baron von der Heydt, banker to the ex-Kaiser Willhelm II and one of the most important collectors of contemporary and non European art. The bohemian life continued in the village and in the Locarnese valleys from then on.

The Mount, now used as a Hotel and park, still maintains its almost magic power of attraction. Along with the proven magnetic anomalies of geological formations underlying Ascona, it is as if the mount preserves, hidden away out of sight, the sum of all the successful and unsuccessful attempts to breach the gap between the “I” and “we”, and the striving towards an ideal creative society, thus making the Monte Verità a special scenic and climatic micro-paradise.

Monte-Verità

The Monte Verità is also however a well preserved testimony for the history of architecture. From Adam’s hut to the Bauhaus. The ideology of the first settlers demanded spartan chalet-like timber dwellings with plenty of light and air and few comforts. Shortly after 1900 the following buildings began to spring up: Casa Selma (now museum), […]1, Casa Andrea with its geometrical façade, the sunniest of the buildings (now converted), Casa Elena and the Casa del Tè – Tea House (now demolished) and the Casa dei Russi (hideout for Russian students after the 1905 revolution and now undergoing renovation). The Casa Centrale was built for the community and allowed for maximum natural light. Ying-Yang symbols were worked into windows and balconies. (In 1948 this building was demolished to make way for a restaurant and only the curving flight of steps remains).
Henry Oedenkoven built Casa Anatta as living quarters and reception rooms in the theosophist style with rounded corners everywhere, double timber walls, sliding doors, domed ceilings and huge windows with views of the landscape as supreme works of art, a large flat roof and sun-terrace.

Mars Retrograde: Jun 26-Aug 27.
Mercury Retrograde: July 26-Aug 18.
Let’s start with Mars.

How have things been in your life the past week? Mars (drive, courage, conflict) is retracing his steps through Aquarius – effecting our ambitions. A Mars retrograde isn’t common, and when it happens each of us needs to refocus our energies inward and solidify the foundations of our plans.  Nourish your body, get some rest, research your path and work behind the scenes.

Men in particular can be very effected by a Mars retrograde. The men in our lives might need more space and quiet time to reflect on their identities and path forward. It’s a time for all of us to be patient with one another, and to seek peace and comfort.

There are seven celestial bodies currently retrograde: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, Pluto, the North Node and Neptune. Mercury will join them July 26th. This means from June 26 through September 6, we’ll have the majority of planets retrograde at once!
The last time our country experienced this many retrogrades was late 1943 and early 1944. These retrogrades (plus upcoming eclipses!) signal a turning point in our lives, our country and the world. In 1943, our planet faced another turning point — the horrors of World War II and the Allied victory.

We stand at a crossroads but we will find direction by focusing on our internal growth. With Mars Retrograde you need to watch your step. Be cautious, and don’t start fights or legal action. It is a solid time to release friendships that you’ve outgrown, or end participation in activities or groups that don’t nourish us.

Prune away those things and people that are hold you down, wish you ill, or have little to offer beyond negativity. Sometimes one must accept when old friendships are truly over and can’t be repaired or “waited out.”

Mars shows up in our physical relationships. It protects and acts in accordance with the Will of our Higher Self. It is the energy and force that demands we fulfill our spiritual path in this life.

Neptune stations

img_0364

This week begins with Neptune stationing (standing still) above our heads at 16 degrees Pisces, and slowly going retrograde (reversing) over the next week.

Neptune breaks up, diffuses and dissipates the place where it lands in your chart. It could also aspect one of your natal planets, dissolving the boundaries of that planet and house. If you are a Pisces, Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius, you could be very effected by Neptune’s influence in the next few months.

With Neptune, you always have a choice. You can escape your fears by drinking or using drugs, OR you can ask for spiritual strength. I whole-heartedly encourage you to ask for the spiritual strength 🙂 The next few months offer a special time to do deep healing on yourself and your life.

Here’s a great article

from Ronnie Pontiac:  “This can indicate a spaced out but potentially dreamy quality for this week into next. Take care when you commute. For some this may be a time of exhaustion and confusion, if so stop, meditate, get some rest. Dreams may provide useful insights. Inspiration and imagination can be strong so if you’re a creative person make time to receive these gifts of perspective.
Tuesday Mercury trine Jupiter is exact however with Mercury opposition Saturn fading but still an influence this may not be as fun a time as Mercury trine Jupiter can indicate. At worst avoid over optimism, arrogance, over doing, over spending and especially overindulgence. With Neptune stationary the urge to intoxicate and other forms of escapism can be very strong. Use common sense. A good time for meditation with Neptune and Saturn so strong.
Wednesday Mercury trine Neptune one minute before 1 PM is another aspect of inspiration and imagination. Again, dreams can be insightful. Jupiter trine Neptune is still strong and with Neptune stationary the beginning of this week could be a time for profound spiritual insights. Study a spiritual path. Open yourself to mystical exploration. Enjoy some relaxing time by water.
Early Thursday morning just after 3 AM the Summer Solstice arrives as the sun enters Cancer. Can you believe it? 2018 is half over. Look back on the year so far. Are you accomplishing your goals? What would you like to accomplish over the next six months?
Also Thursday just before 10 AM Venus opposition Mars is exact. With Mars going stationary retrograde five days later the Mars side of this opposition will be emphasized. On the negative side it can indicate conflict between the genders and a generalized state of irritation. But on the positive side the tension can be romantic and sexual, and creative. A good time to complete, or turn the corner toward completion, for artistic projects. To get best results find balance between the pleasure seeking appreciation for harmony and beauty that is Venus and the forceful willpower and aggression of Mars.
Friday just before 11 PM sun sextile Uranus is exact indicated possible opportunities for greater freedom. The unexpected may give you a sense of liberation. Look to new tech, new perspectives and new communities for inspiration but be careful as Mercury opposes Pluto just a few hours later.
Very early Saturday morning Mercury opposition Pluto is exact. Expect more ugly secrets and more political power plays. Be careful of saying bitter or hateful things under the pressure of the moment. At worst this can be a time of suspicion, paranoia, and obsession. A time of irritation and arguments that can turn violent. Avoid power struggles and wasting energy on fruitless conflict. At best this can be a time to learn about healing, to communicate catharsis, to repair and reform and to discard where necessary. Pluto favors meditation.

Sun in Gemini

butterflyeggsmicroscope

Sun in Gemini.   ingress:  Sunday, May 20 at 7:15pm.

Full Moon in Sagittarius:  Tuesday, May 29th at 7:20am.
Mercury into Gemini:  May 29th at 4:49pm.

How amazing are these butterfly eggs?Seriously.   Butterflies and birds always symbolize the free spirit and airy nature of Gemini.

Everyone has Gemini somewhere in their chart. You will experience restlessness and a desire to try new things – in reference to the qualities of that particular house.  The Sun is now in the sign of Gemini, bringing further emphasis to this arena. Gemini symbolizes travel, business communication, and the mind. It is social, witty, loves to listen, has to be free and can pull ideas out of the aether. People under this influence want new experiences, like to explore the unknown, are curious and VERY talkative.

Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, will be entering it’s rulership next Tuesday, the same day as the full moon in Sagittarius. Our minds will work at lightning speed until the middle of June, but the full moon in Sag will ask us to focus our minds and commit to specific goals. Whatever you set your mind to next week will come to fruition in early December.

New Moon of the Fish

IMG_0242

New Moon in Pisces: March 17, 2018 at 6:12am Pacific.
Mars into Capricorn at 9:40am

This New Moon is extremely healing to our personal, emotional and spiritual lives. Chiron, the Wounded Healer, is conjunct the Sun and Moon in Pisces on Saturday. This brings extra depth to the healing vibe of this aspect. We have explored our deep sensitivities over the last month with the Sun and it’s entourage swimming through the sign of the fish. This New Moon is the final revelation for our growth over the past month, and it’s a good time to be in tune with our instincts and where the flow of our life is taking us.

Events in our lives are unfolding that spur deep healing on our past emotional wounds, so we can let our baggage go. With the Sun’s entrance into Aries on Tuesday, heralding the Spring Equinox, we begin a fresh new astrological year, so this weekend is the final purification.

If we reflect on the past month, we will see the enormous healing we have undertaken in our emotional lives and patterns.

Austin Coppock:
“Although the New Moon does not technically take place until around dawn on Saturday, this is more the night of the New Moon than tomorrow. As the Sun and Moon come together in Pisces, look back over the last month, and reflect on what understandings emerged. What pearls will you walk away from the Sun’s time in oceanic Pisces this year?”

https://smartmindmag.com/march-17th-the-most-powerful-healing-new-moon/?c=educate:

“On March 17th, the sun, the new moon, and the planetoid Chiron will all be huddled together gracing the sky in the sensitive zodiac sign of Pisces. This may sound cosy and blissful, as Chiron is an immensely healing planet, Pisces is intuitive, soft, and sensual, and the sun is warm, energising, and illuminating. However, the moon will be at its darkest and in its shadow stage. This means that any painful lessons that we have tried to ignore and deny will be forcing their way to the surface, and they won’t disappear, so we’ll have no option but to confront and deal with them.
Emotional and sensitive Pisces will be doing its best to highlight our unhealed emotional wounds, fears, and insecurities. But thankfully, Chiron is right on hand to offer empathy, compassion, and gentle, soothing, loving care.
During this new moon we will likely notice we feel pulled toward others in the hope that they will do the work for us and validate our irrational thoughts and feelings, even though it would benefit us more if we worked on self-love and self-acceptance as a way of calming our ego.
When our ego is out of control our mind creates chaotic circumstances, and if we believe all the drama going on in our head, what starts off quietly in our internal world quickly manifests into the external world in a disorderly and dysfunctional way.

Low self-esteem is one of the major issues that will be arising on this new moon, even for those who think they are self-confident and self-assured. Therefore, we will notice that the collective energy is one that is seeking out external support, encouragement, and guidance, rather than learning how to find and embrace these things within ourselves.
Validation can be a beautiful bonding tool for connection. However, we should never have to seek or demand it from anyone, although many of us regularly do. Validation is only meaningful when it is offered freely and sincerely, and not when we have had to force it out of someone through tantrums or manipulation. It doesn’t need words. We just need to know we are safe, held, and deeply accepted, and that is enough to calm our insecurities and fears, whether validation is self-given or comes from another person.
Chiron has been resting in the sign of Pisces since May 2010 and won’t be leaving until March 2019, and while it is fused there it will be doing a tremendous amount of work to help us become aware of our open, festering wounds that persistently taunt and trigger us. Whenever the sun and moon are in close transition to Chiron we receive the opportunity to notice what is causing us the most amount of emotional pain, and to see exactly where our pain is rooted.
The majority of the wounds that Chiron awakens us to are the ones that begun in our early childhood or adolescent years, so they are often firmly embedded in, causing us to feel like they are part of who we are. The moment we notice exactly what is causing so much hurt and anguish within our psyche, we create a tremendous shift that propels us on a healing journey so we can rationally process what we went through, why we are still holding on to underlying emotions and beliefs, and, most importantly, how we can transcend through it to reach a place of inner peace and bliss.
Although it may seem easier to distract ourselves and not pay attention to what goes on below the surface, when we ignore our core wounds, all that happens is they will cry out for attention in a variety of harmful ways, and this results in trauma and destruction in many of our personal relationships. We will subconsciously keep replaying the same stories over and again in the hope that whatever is upset, rejected, suppressed, or angry on the inside will eventually get the chance to be heard, healed, and freed.
Chiron is the exact energy needed to dig in deep and softly touch the areas that are raw and tender, as parts of us have felt lost and abandoned while we distracted ourselves within the busyness of life. We may have tried to mask or numb these aching aspects of our internal selves by turning to toxic relationships, alcohol, drugs, or addictions of various kinds that may seem harmless at first glance, but on a soul level are serving to sustain the damage we have held for years.
This bruising, that almost all of us hold within our emotional bodies, may regularly be touched and triggered. When that happens eruptions occur and our emotions will flare up, seemingly out of nowhere. New and full moons are intense energetic periods, and are known for highlighting and magnifying our unhealed and repressed emotional wounds. This is why during these amplified lunar phases we often feel tightly coiled and as though the slightest irritation could send us off balance and reeling toward a mini meltdown.
Chiron is here to support our personal growth so that we shift from wounded, pain-filled beings into free-spirited, light-hearted, carefree souls, purely through the realisation and fearless self-acceptance that our shadowy dark side—that we keep hidden—is nothing to feel scared of or ashamed about. We can reach in and hold out a hand to our inner child that has sat in the darkness tortured by abandonment and rejection. Slowly we can gain the trust of the parts of ourselves that we have pushed away and dismissed, and we can offer an unconditionally loving embrace to show that we accept each part of ourselves; the dark, the light, and every shade in between.
New moons are a time of new beginnings and they open the doorway to our subconscious mind; therefore, this lunation deliver the ideal space to softly and slowly travel inward so that we can delicately communicate with all that we’ve pushed aside. When we do this we will notice magnificent transformation not just in the way we feel about ourselves, but also how we connect and communicate with the people around us, particularly within our most intimate relationships.
When we are entering a healing phase, it is vital that we nurture and nourish ourselves, and as water is a powerful healing element we can enhance our healing by indulging ourselves with by soaking in an Epsom Salt bath and adding a soothing essential oil, or if possible going somewhere where it is possible to bathe outdoors under the starlit sky.
If we are staying indoors during the new moon we can put on music that speaks to our soul and relax fully knowing that we are safe, supported, and held in the lunar energy that is emanating from above. Once we feel settled and peaceful we can then ask the questions we have been longing to find answers to, so we connect to our innermost desires. When we locate what our heart longs for, we will also then discover what painful emotions are creating resistance, and from there we will find a way to heal the wounds that have caused us to be weighed down and to remain stuck, repeating similar scenarios for so long.
All that is needed is silence, faith, and the fearlessness to travel inward knowing that whatever is unveiled during this healing process is perfectly acceptable, as we are all divine beings and we are all already perfect and precious—regardless of the stories our critical mind might tell.
This Pisces new moon, with Chiron’s healing influence, is the greatest opportunity for wound-healing we will receive throughout this entire year. It is a temporary portal that allows us access to the darkest parts of our soul, but to enter, we have to take a deep breath, be willing to be vulnerable, and bravely dive in to the core of our being. Responsibilities may be pressing you to come up with a solution but it’s questionable whether the choices you’re making are leading you down the right path or whether you’re going down a rabbit hole on some wild, mushroom-gathering mission.
What if I told you that whatever you’re doing lately (or not doing at all) is actively contributing to the dissolution of what’s not working for you? What if deep down, your intuition was guiding you to focus on those things that are somehow contributing to your discomfort, disillusionment, disorder and despair – even disease?

It’s possible that what you’re doing, however creative, is purposely serving to break down any ego-attachments.
Look at any suffering as a voluntary choice to go against your own spiritual evolution. How much do you want it if it only brings your mind/body down? How much do you need it? Either way – dissolution, destruction, extinction, transcendence… to Spirit, it’s the same thing.
