Venus, Jupiter, Chiron conjunct in Pisces

March 1st, 2023 Venus conjunct Jupiter at 17 Pisces (Tropically at 12 Aries)

Venus and Jupiter are two of the most positive planets in astrology, and they both shine brightest in the sign of Pisces! Their true natures are easily expressed here, so this conjunction is particularly significant. Pisces is the Great Mystery; the sign of hope, and connection with the divine.

Venus is the planet of attraction, love, art, romance, friendship and parties. Venus is exalted in the sign of Pisces, so she is completely at home in the gentle sweetness of this sign. Jupiter rules Pisces, and the planet’s flowing abundance, riches and luck appear naturally here. Venus and Jupiter coming together is one of the most auspicious planetary aspects! It highlights how we have wisened up, realized new truths about ourselves, and opened to love. This is a time to trust your instincts, follow your wisdom, and stand in the truth. A miracle could happen.

As Venus and Jupiter meet, they will be two degrees away from the great healer, Chiron, which symbolizes deep healing and a new receptiveness to love, abundance, creativity and feelings. We might feel our wounds deeply and want to run away, but the key is to move towards them. Embrace your wounds, feel the pain, and say to yourself “I’m willing to heal this.” The conjunction with Venus will bring up our wounds around love, particularly our self worth. The conjunction with Jupiter could bring up wounds around wealth, abundance and self esteem.

I’m curious if the conjunction can be seen in the evening sky as one huge star on March 1st and 2nd. Go take a look outside and bask in the loving emanation. Breakthroughs and miracles can occur, so notice the Magick happening around you.

“Old wounds around love, and being worthy of it. Abundance, and deserving it. Creativity and having it, Autonomy and claiming it.”

Week of July 25th

Sun at 2 Leo
Mercury DIRECT at 10 Leo
Venus at 8 Cancer
Mars at 12 Taurus
Jupiter at 9 Aries
Saturn RETROGRADE at 23 Aquarius (rulership)
Neptune RETROGRADE 25 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 27 Capricorn
North Node at 18 Taurus

The Sun moved into Leo last Friday, entering his home kingdom. The Sun is in his natural element in Leo, and shines his brightest! Now is the time to do Sun magick if you have the inclination. Focus on leadership and lead with you heart. Helping other people shine, is the best use of this energy. This week we are still in the 4th quarter of the Moon. We rest and wrap things up, all in preparation for the rebirth of the New Moon in Leo this Thursday.

Leo is our identity, and we discover who we are THROUGH being creative. What are you creating? What do you enjoy doing? We see ourselves through our play, our hobbies and crafts, our songs, and through our children. If you are still feeling a little lost from all the massive changes last year, try creating something. You will see yourself in that creation.

There’s a lot of big aspects this week. Uranus and the Moon’s North Node (destiny) are conjunct at 18° Taurus on Tuesday, which really stirs things up and creates new opportunities for the path forward. Many unexpected developments and events can pop up out of nowhere, sending you in a different direction. Mercury square Mars can raise tensions and road rage, so be calm while driving. And further out, Saturn is moving towards another square with Uranus. It’s happening now, but will be exact on October 23rd and will reignite some of the tensions from last year.

Wednesday, July 27th: Moon in Cancer goes void at 5:54pm Pacific, so stay home tonight and spoil yourself. With Jupiter standing still in the sky preparing to go retrograde tomorrow, indulgences abound. Go to the spa and eat whatever you want. Also today, Mercury in Leo trines Chiron-the-healer in Aries. There could be information, results or progress concerning a mental, emotional or physical health issue. Your inner voice is talking to you all the time, letting you know what you need.

Thursday, July 28th: New Moon in Leo at 10:55am Pacific indicates the start of a new lunar cycle. Let your creativity wander alongside your imagination. Focus on you, because you have gold to share. You have a rare and intrinsic quality that no one else has on the planet! Also, Jupiter Retrograde begins! Is life sending you in a new direction? Embrace it and go with the flow. Revelations abound.

“Druids Cutting the Mistletoe on the Sixth Day of the Moon” by Henri Paul Motte (France, c.1900)

Sun at 5 Capricorn.
Mercury DIRECT at 0 Capricorn.
Mars at 25 Scorpio (strong) and Venus at 9 Aquarius.
Jupiter at 5 Capricorn (in it’s fall, or weakened).
Saturn at 20 Capricorn, Pluto at 22 Capricorn.
Neptune at 16 Pisces.

If you feel like you’re in an intense time of transformation, you are correct. We are being asked as individuals, and a society, to rise up to the next level of our soul consciousness. First, the Winter Solstice last week demanded we release our dead weight. It’s now Winter, and there’s a primal urge to release that which no longer serves us. It will become imperative this month as Saturn and Pluto join in a rare conjunction on January 12th at 23 degrees Capricorn. We’ve been building up to this event for months now, and it has finally arrived! These two powerful planets govern our responsibilities, maturity and evolution. The Sun has passed the Galactic Center, and is reborn into a new year. We have a new beginning within our grasp, and we are being called to operate within the Truth and mystery of our Universe. We are all stardust, and our internal universal codes are being activated on a deep level.

All of this activity is aimed squarely at Capricorns, but all of the earth signs (Taurus and Virgo) will feel the impact. Any planets you have in your chart near 23 degrees Capricorn, Aries, Cancer or Libra are being blasted with powerful energy. You can’t ignore these life aspects now. If you’d like a reading to see how this effects you personally, you can book me here.

If all that wasn’t enough, we had an eclipse on Christmas Day in Capricorn! It was probably an intense day for many people. Eclipses tend to highlight unresolved emotions and stuck areas in our lives. We are now between eclipses, the next one showing up on January 9th in Cancer – just three days before this momentous conjunction.

Right now, Saturday, we are experiencing a Sun and Jupiter conjunction, which expands the opportunities for our soul’s vision. It’s a happy aspect, since both planets are over supplied with optimism, wealth, hope and healing. You can make some progress on important tasks today.

In general, it’s best to take things a day at a time right now, and prioritize your responsibilities. Stay present with your feelings and keep communications clear with loved ones. Take ownership of your life, work hard, and everything will go smoothly. More to come next week 🙂

Full Moon in Gemini

Nicho

Sankt Nikolaus and the Krampus

Sun at 19 Sagittarius.
Mercury is now DIRECT at 2 Sagittarius (detriment… not happy).
Mars at 14 Scorpio (strong) and Venus at 19 Capricorn (weak).
Jupiter at 1 Capricorn (in it’s fall, or weakened).
Saturn at 19 Capricorn, Pluto at 21 Capricorn.
Neptune at 15 Pisces.

Full Moon in Gemini on Wednesday, Dec. 11th at 9:12pm. The theme is LIBERATION, and it will effect everyone individually depending on where it falls in a chart. This week we are resolving dualities, and looking for the unifying energy. As we inch closer to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in January, it’s time to get our affairs in order. A glimpse of January’s event appears this week as Venus conjuncts Saturn and Pluto. A huge shift is arriving next month; it will deliver either a sobering wake-up call, or rewards for hard work.

Jupiter entered Capricorn last week, marking a significant shift for the next year. Our desires and ambitions experience new limits or obstacles. Think back 12 years ago, and what was going on in your life. With Jupiter in Capricorn, you’ll find some of these themes repeating in your life, but in a different way. Jupiter is not happy (or in it’s fall) in Capricorn, but there are some good character-building qualities to this placement. Jupiter in Capricorn grounds us, and helps us accept the realities of personal achievement. We focus on creating solid foundations, and develop the patience for long-term ambitions to be realized. We get to work. If you want a personal reading on how this shift will affect you, schedule me here.

Wednesday, 12/11: Full Moon in Gemini at 9:12pm. Catch up with friends, take short trips, call your family and engage with your community. Messages could arrive from the universe today, so pay attention to synchronicities. Great day for writing, negotiation and expressing your genius in creative ways.

Thursday, 12/12: Moon in Cancer. And just like that we are in the realm of Crab; we withdraw into our shells and comfort zones. The power of the Full Moon is still in effect, so be sensitive to people’s feeling today. Focus on self care, and work around the house.

Friday, 12/13: Moon in Cancer. The mood might lighten a bit today, but still avoid social complications – especially in personal relationships. It’s a romantic evening though.

Saturday, 12/14: Moon void-of-course in Cancer all day. Indulgence. Allow yourself to relax, eat too much food and engage in escapism. Not much progress can be made today to go with the flow.

Sunday, 12/15: Moon in Leo. Today we bust out of the quiet, Cancerian mode and move towards matters of the heart. The emphasis today is on personal achievement and artistic expression.

Dark of the Moon

19-19

Dark of the Moon.
New Moon in Gemini this Sunday, June 2nd.
Mercury at 10 Gemini (in it’s rulership! VERY strong).
Mars at 7 Cancer (in it’s fall; no Mars Magick).
Venus at 13 Taurus (rulership; VERY strong).
Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto retrograde.

We are in the last quarter of the Moon this week – a time of reflection and quiet. We have a few days to wrap up loose ends, get organized, finish things, pay debts and simply rest. I always equate the dark of the Moon with the hours before dawn; the hush over the land. It’s the time of Magick and vivid dreaming.

Mercury in Gemini is in his element. It’s an excellent time for Mercury Magick. Our minds are honed, and we can wield the sword of truth. Socializing, writing, studying and communication are highlighted for the next month. Commerce and negotiation are also able to move forward after being stuck since last Fall.

Venus in Taurus is another strong placement, and fortifies nature, beauty, style, art and the power of women. What do you love doing with your time, are you willing to commit to it and make it a permanent part of your life’s foundation? Let your heart guide you to a higher vision for yourself.

Mars in Cancer means the planet is in it’s “fall” – it’s energy and expression is severely limited. Actions (especially attacks) will lack teeth and will fizzle out. It’s challenging to make headway when Mars is in Cancer, so focus on nurturing yourself and your home instead. With the North Node in Cancer right now, vulnerability is highlighted. Express yourself respectfully. The actions of men are diminished with Mars in Cancer. Seek out nurturing. ❤

Saturn and Pluto retrograding and conjunct through Capricorn. We are in the midst of deep, cathartic changes within ourselves, and outwardly in our society. This change will be in motion for the next couple of years, and will send us in a more mature and sustainable direction. We all need to take the focus off of others, or our outward experiences, and commit to doing our inner work. And with the North Node in Cancer, this inner work needs to happen in a loving and nurturing way.

Pluto brings up power struggles, catharsis, research, healing and our toxic energy. With Pluto’s power we can heal our toxic wounds and regenerate ourselves like the Phoenix.
Saturn wants us to grow up and face our problems like adults. It rules responsibility, discipline, commitment, stability, karma, and hard work. Face your fears and do the work you’ve been putting off. If you do this, Saturn will support you and give you the strength you need to move forward in your life.

Saturn conjunct Pluto will be exact in January 2020. You have until then to figure out who you’d like to be in the new age that’s dawning.  Pluto is evolution, and Saturn is structure. The two of them are meeting in a specific corner of your chart, helping you rebirth yourself. Who would you like to be?

Week of January 7th

cap1New Moon in Capricorn last Saturday.
Mercury in Capricorn (weakened).
Venus in Sagittarius (neutral).
Mars in Aries (strong).
Jupiter in Sagittarius (strong).
Saturn in Capricorn until March 2020 (rulership).
Uranus now Direct in Aries (strong).

The New Moon Eclipse last Saturday activated the South Node (the past). This represents personal gifts in our lives that we have already mastered. The North Node is our nature, or obvious personality, and where we have natural talent. With this New Moon, the corner of your chart containing Capricorn will be going through a change. A new door will open, influenced by the house placement and any aspects.

Saturn (reality) and Pluto (the soul’s evolution) in Capricorn are going to effect the South Node (the past) during the eclipses this year. Saturn, and Capricorn, are about mastery and responsibility. With the South Node there, we will be tested to see if we have truly mastered the lessons of our pasts, or we will be tested with the same old situations until we are done.
Where do you want to be by the time Saturn leaves Capricorn?

Mercury isn’t thrilled with being in Capricorn. Mercury wants to be zing-y, but Capricorn is cautious and sure-footed. Communication is slowing down for a few weeks.

Mars has gone into his rulership in Aries (finally!! Yay!!), after months of going backwards and slogging through Pisces. Our plans are now in direct, confident motion. This happened on New Year’s Day too, so the fresh, new Mars energy is invigorating 2019 in general 🙂

MONDAY, January 7th: Moon in Aquarius. Focus is on groups, humanitarian ideals and teamwork. Uranus is still stationing (standing still) in Aries, so there could be unexpected events or revelations coming from left field. Listen for new ideas and revelations from your inner voice.
Uranus stationary direct in late Aries can bring unexpected shocks, liberating surprises, fresh vision and new ways to utilize technology. Independence, spontaneity and a break from routine are common themes. Where can you bring more freedom into your life? Do something different.
Venus enters Sagittarius during Monday’s pre-dawn hours, bringing faith, luck, truth and exploration to the arena of Love. We immediately feel more optimistic, sociable and generous in the areas of art and romance.

TUESDAY, January 8th: Moon in Aquarius. Mercury squares Mars at 2:00am, but influences the day. Stay away from confronting, debating or negotiating with anyone today. It’s a good day for writing or getting organized though.

WEDNESDAY, January 9th: Pisces Moon. Daydream and fantasize today. Facts will slip through your fingers. Today we survive using our intuition. Seek solitude, quiet, healing and music.

THURSDAY, Jan. 10th: Pisces Moon. Quiet day. Meditate, daydream, create visions and art.

FRIDAY, Jan. 11th: Moon void-of-course in Pisces all day. Don’t commit to or sign anything. A day of relaxation. Sun conjunct Pluto helps you update your life vision. The will to power or to defend against it can quickly turn violent. Avoid arguments. Sexual preoccupation and obsession is possible, as is suspicion and paranoia. Fun can be had by exploring the psyche sexually and otherwise for catharsis. What stands in your way right now? What outdated attitudes and perspectives can you release?

SATURDAY, Jan. 12th: Moon in Aries (meeting up with Mars). You’ll probably feel a lot of energy, drive and excitement today! Make good use of it, but avoid headstrong behavior.

Week of September 17

sun

Monday, Sept. 17 – Sun in Virgo, Moon in Capricorn. Morning is sluggish (Moon conjunct Saturn), but then a busy work day. It will feel good. You can get a lot done! Anything established today will last a long time.  Not a good day to get concessions from authority.

Tuesday, Sept. 18 – Moon in Capricorn. Keep working hard and impress your boss or clients. There’s no way around, just through.  The seeds you sow now will be a harvested bounty in a couple of months.

Wednesday, Sept. 19 – Moon void-of-course in Capricorn from 10:10am to 4:52pm. Try not to have important meetings or conversations during this time. After 5:00pm the mood will lighten quite a bit and the focus will be on teamwork.

Thursday, Sept. 20 – Moon in Aquarius all day! This along with the Sun/Mercury conjunction in Virgo lends this day to writing, short trips, socializing and revelatory daydreaming.

Friday, Sept. 21 – Moon void-of-course in Aquarius ALL DAY. Stay low key and keep the focus on being a team player. Mercury into Libra makes this a nice evening or socializing and romance. Fair negotiations can be worked out for the next few weeks.

It’s a day of celebration, appreciation and indulgence of the bounties of the harvest season.

Astro week of August 5th

@lefawnhawk

This week is the 4th quarter of the Moon, the “darkest” time of our current lunar month.  This week we rest and wrap things up; all in preparation for the rebirth of the New Moon in Leo this coming Saturday.  It will be another eclipse too.  If you go out at sunset each night this week, you will see the moon’s light diminish until she completely disappears into the fiery light of the Sun.  Don’t overschedule yourself or work too hard. Take some afternoon naps. Focus on finishing things – next week is the time to start new projects or habits.

Monday, August 6 – Moon in Gemini (Mercury still retrograde), Venus into Libra and Uranus stationing. Lots of energy, communication and ideas flying around today. Be slow and thorough, and handle one thing at a time. Don’t get caught up in other peoples’ instability. Venus in Libra is very happy! Do some art or hang with friends.

Tuesday, August 7 – Moon void of course in Gemini all day, and Uranus retrograde in Taurus. Stay home if you can or work in your garden. Today could be really crazy, with lots of unstable changes happening all around you. Careful while driving or on transport. Keep slowing yourself down and doing one thing at a time. Don’t act on impulse this week.

Wednesday, August 8 – Moon in Cancer. Spoil yourself. Go to a spa. Eat whatever you want. Uranus still stationing overhead, so avoid social conflicts. Connect with your inner voice, and hear what it’s telling you. Is life sending you in a new direction? Embrace it and go with the flow. Revelations abound. Don’t overspend.

Thursday, August 9 – Moon void of course in Cancer all day. Avoid important negotiations or conversations. Today is NOT the day for a house meeting. Keep a cool head and a discerning heart. FOCUS ON YOUR OWN LIFE. Let your creativity wander.

Friday, August 10 – New Moon in Leo begins. A splendid day. Allow yourself all the pleasures available. Assume leadership if needed and tackle responsibilities. Let your light shine. Good night to see a performance.

Saturday, August 11 – New Moon eclipse in Leo at 2:58am. Be creative, hang out with family and children, and let your light shine some more.

Full Moon Eclipse in Aquarius

19875474_1909817122633047_7647839705032297020_n

Extremely rare atmospheric phenomenon called rainbow bridge or circumhorizontal arc: when the sun is at least 58º above horizon and ice crystals in clouds form rainbows.

Friday, 1:20pm Pacific: Full Moon Eclipse in Aquarius.

To make the right decisions today, focus on your commitments to friends, groups and plans for the future.  Taking action is a bit trickier though, since the planet of ambition, Mars, is currently going backwards (retrograde ) through Aquarius. In fact Mars, the full Moon Eclipse, and the South Node (the past) are all sitting together at the same point in Aquarius today.

Don’t start anything new or take any risks this weekend. Put your energy towards wrapping up past projects that have been bugging you for awhile. When the South Node is present, it’s the best time to release relationships you’ve outgrown, clean your house, get organized, and finish things. This weekend is great for clearing energy with smudging and bells, doing chores, putting things where they belong, and tackling dusty projects. Nurture yourself with good food and rest.

Sun in Leo (in it’s rulership), is the only celestial body in the right place right now – so connect with healing, leadership, and where your heart is leading you.
Mercury now retrograde in Leo (but currently standing still over our heads.
Venus in Virgo (in her Fall – not happy).

The fires exploding all over California are going to gain in intensity, so be careful driving out there. Look out for big egos, excessive speed, angry drivers. Uranus is squaring the Full Moon, which can cause sudden, unexpected events. The opportunity for creative breakthroughs and revelations about your life could be impactful and life changing.

New Moon in Aries

img_0536

Aries New Moon at 6:57pm Pacific.

Every year, the New Moon in Aries starts an entirely new astrological cycle for the upcoming twelve months.  This is because Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and the New Moon sparks off new beginnings. Today is a significant day. What would you like to develop this year? What do you want to grow in your life? Today we plant the seeds.

Every new idea or direction starts with a spark of inspiration that activates an individual’s nature. What are you drawn towards? Aries is the spark. It’s the first sign of the zodiac, as well as the first fire sign, and the Sun always transits Aries in the Spring. Fire is the only element that’s a reaction between two elements – it’s not tangible. Fire heats things up, consumes all it touches and spreads quickly. When fire touches the human spirit, we become motivated, inspired and productive. We lead the pack, but we’re also not afraid to stand alone. We become pioneers and explore the fringes of society. We tackle our challenges with a wellspring of drive and energy.

From Empowering Astrology:

“The Aries New Moon is conjunct — astrology speak for in the same position — the planet Uranus. Now, Uranus has been in Aries since 2010-2011, kicking off revolutions both personal and global. We’ve had to start over more than a few times. We’ve had breakthroughs. We’ve had our thinking altered, our consciousness awakened. We’re very different people than we were seven years ago.

This new moon, in many ways, represents a culmination of our work during Uranus’s journey through Aries. Meaning, whatever changes kicked off in 2011, whatever revolutions began, will have their denouement during this lunar month. In short, what you started working toward in 2011 will come to a climax in the coming four weeks. Are you ready for the big reveal?

Even more, the new moon points its energy over to Mars in Capricorn, a sign that injects seriousness and responsibility into the mix. And thank goodness for Capricorn because it’s a sign that’s a bit slow-and-steady-wins-the-race versus Aries’s impulsiveness. Further, Mars is conjunct Pluto in Capricorn, so while we may be pumping the breaks with this new moon, it’s Pluto that’s creating a very hard boundary.
When we put this together, this lunar month will be seeded with powerful new beginnings, one that may draw a line between an old life and a new life. We may feel a rebirth, a transformation from the proverbial fire. We may feel restless and motivated to make a change. Although unpredictable, Uranus has a tendency to show us what’s holding us back and demand we let it go.

Mercury also turns direct on the day of the new moon, adding to an unsteady energy. Information may pour out as a result. Plus, that Mars-Pluto combo has a tendency to be volcanic, pulling up emotions and releasing suppressed energy. If we’re looking for a do over, this is our new moon.
Some tips for working with the energy of this new moon. Again, exercise is your friend this lunar month. Of course, be very aware of your body lest you create an injury. Second, fire needs air, so make sure you’re breathing long deep breaths. Lastly, challenge your thinking of yourself or how you see the world. Try something new, especially if it’s out of your comfort zone.
Another thing to be aware of is that Aries, in its negative expression, has a tendency to be argumentative and aggressive. You may be itching for a fight. You may have a bout of road rage. Try not to burn everything down with this new moon; instead, taking time to meditate or go for a walk. Mars, thankfully has support from Neptune, reminding us to channel the higher expression of Mars — positive breakthroughs and transformation.
Note that Uranus will leave Aries for Taurus on May 15. We’re in the homestretch of a powerful seven year journey to discover our real selves.

From Ronnie Pontiac:

In April Chiron will leave Pisces and enter Aries. Most astrologers describe Chiron as the wounded healer. It’s place in our charts is said to indicate our deepest wounds. But Chiron also involves teaching and mentorship, including guidance of the next generation.

Chiron is completing its circuit around the zodiac. Chiron in Pisces suggests wounds caused by religion or by lack of spirituality. A crisis of faith, pervasive cultural rigidity as traditions dissolve, widespread confusion, and nostalgia for the past can make Chiron in Pisces feel like end times.
But the real end time is Chiron in Aries as a new cultural cycle begins. Real hippies will squint at those years 1968 to 1976 because they brought Altamont, glitter rock and disco. The new generation arrives and in some way that generation inaugurates everything that comes after them. The sometimes reckless idealism of the hippies was the end of a forty year cycle, the cynicism of their younger sibs was the beginning of the next. That cycle is now ending.
In April as Chiron enters Aries until 2027, with a couple of backslides into Pisces at first, we can expect breakthroughs in healing, in underground culture, in education. Aries is war and it is possible that Chiron brings the painful catharsis of war. After all, Chiron was a mentor to Achilles the most famous killer in history. But it is also possible that at long last the wounds that cause war receive the attention they need. How health and education are done in our world will be changing more than many of us can imagine.
For each of us this is a good time to survey our history with healing, teaching, and being taught. Come April embrace new methods, new information, new expectations in these areas. Aries sun, moon, or asc people expect major healing ahead. Pisces people hopefully you’ve healed some of those deep wounds since 2010. You won’t be feeling like the crisis is happening in your waters much longer. A question for all of us: what can you appreciate about what Chiron in Pisces has taught you?
