Sun at 0 Libra
Mercury at 14 Libra
Mars at 22 Virgo and Venus at 10 Libra
Jupiter at 17 Sagittarius
Saturn at 13 Capricorn
Uranus, Neptune, Pluto retrograding.

Hail unto the Mighty Autumn! It is time for the seasons to change. I love how the planet shifts itself so easily and naturally. We are taking stock of our lives and our year of 2019, and deciding what we want to bring with us through the coming Winter. This is an ancient passage, as old as the Earth itself.

If you’re feeling tired, run down and “heavy”, there’s probably lots of reasons lol… BUT I’m an astrologer and I say it’s the planet SATURN. This planet has been going retrograde for five months, and just turned Direct last Wednesday 9/18. When a planet changes direction, it sits still in the sky for a week or so, which is called “stationing”. Saturn is sitting on top of all of us right now… and it’s heavy. Things will start moving forward shortly.

Saturn, the reaper, is one of my favorite planets. It rules time, structure, fear, discipline, ambition, commitment and maturity. Saturn changes signs every two years and takes 28 years to make a complete cycle around the Sun – hence the “Saturn Return” or coming of age when we turn 28 years old. With Saturn, we reap what we sow.

This January, Authority (Saturn) meets Revolution (Pluto) in a conjunction in Capricorn. Both of these planets and signs are extreme so there could be brilliant discoveries and brutal revolutions playing out on the world stage. This is a rare event that will effect us on a personal level too. Who has authority over us and is it time for radical change? In another couple of years, we will have the same planetary configuration that occurred in 1776 – which brought the birth of our nation. Right now, the U.S. is facing it’s shadow and preparing for evolution. I hope it will be a positive one.

Onto the horoscopes! I will look at the influence of Saturn on your sign, as well as the position of your ruler. Reading your sun sign is important, but it’s also good to read the sign that relates to your Rising sign. If you don’t know your rising sign (also called the ascendant), you can figure it out here.

Aries: The Ram
Mars, your ruler, enters Libra on October 4th, which is it’s detriment (not happy). This gives you a week to make important changes, and to take action on anything urgent, because after October 4th you’ll be in a “resting” phase for a month or so. The good news is Venus (love) is in your House of Partnership! It’s a great time to date, or form equal and balanced partnerships.
Saturn in Capricorn falls in your 10th House of Career and Public Image. With Saturn, you reap what you’ve sown. If there’s any unfinished issues or fears regarding career, you can face them now and purge them from your life. This gives you the opportunity to build a new, solid foundation.

Taurus: The Bull
The astrological action this Fall will be Venus transiting your House of Partnerships. Scorpio season is around the corner, bringing up issues, good and bad, in your relationship(s). It will be important for you to be brave and speak your truth with important people around you. The good news is your ruler, Venus, is currently moving through Libra, which is very harmonious and brings good luck with work.
With Saturn Direct in your House of Life Perspective, you are asked to reexamine your belief systems and upgrade them. Saturn brings up issues around security and structure, so changing your personal truth has huge repurcussions on the foundation of your life.

Gemini: The Twins
Your ruler, Mercury, is currently moving through your House of Romance and Creativity, which is very fortunate! Your usual mental clarity has been taken up a notch, and your social life is flourishing. If you have any writing to do, now is the time.

Saturn in Capricorn falls in your 8th House of sex, death and taxes. It’s a good time to pursue serious study of an occult nature, but a bad time to ask for credit. You have to earn your money right now.

Cancer: The Crab
With Venus (planet of Love) transiting Libra, you are on easy street for the next month or so. Venus brings friends, warmth, romance and money! Meanwhile, on the other side of your chart, Pluto in Capricorn brings some powerful personalities into your life. Don’t be put off by the dark, brooding types, for those relationships hold the seeds of personal transformation.
Saturn in Capricorn will bring tremendous growth in commitments and partnerships. Your main relationship is either being deepened and renewed, or it’s crumbling under the tremendous weight of Saturn and Pluto. Go with the flow, and let go of the past. It’s time to move on and create a more stable and nurturing life for yourself.

Leo: The Lion
Your ruler the Sun has entered Libra (your Communication House) bringing good communication and focus on family and community. The Fall season will be great for your love life.
Saturn in Capricorn will falls in your House of Work and Health. If you feel it’s time for a new job, don’t hesitate to update your resume and start looking. Saturn sets people free from stagnant situations. If you want to renew your commitment to your job, Saturn supports that as well.

Virgo: The Virgin
Your ruler, Mercury, is Direct for the next few months, so it’s a time of forward motion. Mercury is moving fast through Libra and Scorpio this Fall. You will be putting a lot of energy into getting organized and negotiating relationships.
Saturn in Capricorn will bring tremendous focus to your romantic life, children and creativity. Now is the time to tackle anything creative that takes persistence to accomplish. Saturn will make you dead serious about dating too. No frilly affairs, laziness or procrastination… you mean business.

Libra: The Scales
Your ruler, Venus, is leading the Sun and Mercury through your sign. This brings wonderful opportunities for Libras (Happy Birthday!). Hopefully you’ve ironed out any lingering identity issues and are ready to take a more decisive approach to life’s challenges.
Saturn in Capricorn heralds a focus on your foundations – namely Home and Security. You might resolve some unfinished business with roommates or strike out on your own. Saturn can bring new maturity to your character, and your approach to life.

Scorpio: The Scorpion
Your ruling planet, Mars, will be entering your sign this Fall heralding your birthday season. It means you can put ambition together with your vision. As for love, you will have a tremendous amount of sex appeal.
Saturn direct in Capricorn (House of Communications) will bring a new seriousness and depth to how you express yourself over the next two years. Honesty, truth and trust will become the key factor in your relationships. If you can’t be authentic with people they will get the boot.

Sagittarius: The Archer
Your ruler, Jupiter (Good Fortune and Luck), is transiting Sagittarius! This is a fantastic time to bring prosperity into your life. Now is the time to negotiate for what you want! Clarify your ambitions and set some clear goals, because you can make real progress over the next several months.
With Saturn newly Direct in Capricorn, the realistic eye of Saturn turns to your financial life. It’s time to get organized and create a solid budget. If there’s some area of your career that requires persistence and commitment, you will be over supplied with those qualities between now and the spring.

Capricorn: The Sea Goat
Your ruler, Saturn, is at home in Capricorn for the next several months! Saturn will wrap you in a leaden blanket of support, giving you greater protection. The tricky part is that Pluto (Revolution) is there too, commanding you to evolve and shed anything that doesn’t connect with your soul’s purpose. These two powerful planets will meet in a conjunction in Capricorn in January, so things in your life will become more and more unbearable until you make real changes.

The main thing for you though, is the new growth around how you see yourself and the world. Saturn in your sign is a time of self reflection, leading to clarification of your identity and your path on this planet. Who do you want to be?

Aquarius: The Water Bearer
Your ruler, Uranus, is in Taurus for the next decade giving you a new stability, and a path to manifest your dreams. Also, Jupiter (Good Fortune) is transiting your House of Career, giving you special luck concerning your work! You can expand and make some incredible progress right now.
Saturn in Capricorn ushers in a time to purge the situations, behaviors and negative thoughts that hold you back. Resolve the parts of your life that feel vague or undefined; this will usher in a new phase of your life.

Pisces: The Fish
You have a deep connection to your creativity and imagination right now, since your ruler, Neptune, is currently swimming through Pisces. It’s an incredibly fortuitous moment, but beware of issues around addiction surfacing too. Be vigilant about your tendencies toward escapism and keep the focus on accomplishing goals.
Saturn is now Direct in your House of Gains. There might be some friendships that need a realistic assessment. You might receive a new leadership role at work, or there might be extra responsibilities involving groups of people. This is a time of great personal revolution that will lead to a more meaningful and stable future.
You are willing to put in the time, persistence and hard work to make your dreams a reality. What you do now will set the direction of your life for the next five years.

Habits and Achievement

Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it. ~Plato

We stand in the balance of seasons – the change from Summer to Fall and the shift of the Sun to the Southern Hemisphere. The earth, weather and our psyches are primitively linked, and we can feel this change in our bones. This is a time of year when we take stock of our lives as we enter the Fall. The Sun is currently in Virgo, which brings up issues around our habits and health, and I’m looking at this right now in my life.

I’ve started working out harder, and while it’s nice being stronger and having more energy, I like the change in my mind. Suddenly I can think more clearly and I have much more focus than I’ve had over the summer months. I like change. I’m always striving to live the most satisfying life I possible. I try to be aware of what I eat, what I watch on TV and how I spend my time. I love the eight-fold path in Buddhism; particularly finding the right type of work that fits your nature.

It takes a lot of self acceptance and discipline to make long term changes, but it is SO worth it. It comes down to envisioning the best life for yourself, and then taking steps to create it in your free time. That’s what I did. I worked a hard job as a senior Executive Assistant for 10 years, and in my spare time, after work, I studied and learned as much as I could about subjects that interested me. I spent hours training at a meditation/psychic school, learning how to hold my boundaries and be neutral when performing readings.

You can change your life if you really want to, you just need discipline and focus. You really can have whatever you want and do whatever you want as long as you are ready to transform yourself and work for it. At the beginning, you need to give yourself the latitude to make mistakes too, or to have set backs. You just need to keep going and ignore the challenges of time and other people’s motives.

If you are WILLING to commit being a better person, and having a better life, anything is possible. If you can be Open with others, Honest about yourself and intentions, and WILLING to create change, you can do anything. Find the right support and willingness, and you will find a better version of yourself. Practice the art of self-awareness and mindfulness, because being a better person comes from discipline in our habits, not submitting perpetually to our animal natures (valid as they may be).

Many people say they want something, but very few are WILLING to do whatever it takes to change. I always ask myself what are you WILLING to do, what are you WILLING to give up? How bad do you want it?

Full Moon in Pisces

“Sirens by the Sea” by Victor Karlovich Shtemberg (1863-1921)

Sun at 19 Virgo. Full moon in Pisces today (Friday) at 9:33pm Pacific.
Mercury enters Libra just after midnight tonight.
Mars at 16 Virgo, and Venus enters Libra at 6:43am Pacific tomorrow morning.
Jupiter at 16 Sagittarius
Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto retrograding.

Happy Birthday to all the Virgos! Tonight’s lovely Harvest Moon is for you. It will be in the sign of Pisces, which represents inspiration, psychic sensitivity, compassion, mysticism, and connecting with the divine. We’re doing some soul searching this weekend; be open to messages you receive from the universe. They could come through your own thoughts or insights, something someone says, or a synchronistic event. Today’s Full Moon in Pisces brings actualization to that personal area of your chart. Meditate and reflect.

Virgo and Pisces are both signs of purity, but Virgo focuses on the body and healthy habits, while Pisces brings a purification of the Soul.

The danger of Pisces is engaging in escapism to avoid facing reality. If you are able keep your feet on the ground, Pisces brings huge spiritual strength. Try not to overindulge in food, drink, sex, shopping, alcohol, TV or drugs this weekend. Instead, be open to what the Universe wants to show you about your current path. Take a break from worrying and personalizing everything and see that you are part of something bigger. The ruler of Pisces is Neptune, and this planet brings connection to all the different planes of existence; the feeling that we are all ONE.

Daimon

thoth

“The ancient Greek word “Daemon – daimon.” was originally referred to as a lesser deity or guiding spirit. To Plato Πλάτων 426-347.B.C.E, the etymology and origin of this term meant, to be knowing, wise or intelligent or more appropriately to be inspired or motivated by a spiritual Force or Genius. Interestingly, Apollonius of Tyana Ἀπολλώνιος ὁ Τυανεύς. c. 15-100.A.D and Socrates Σωκρᾰ́της. c. 470-399.B.C.E, both claimed to have a daimonion, which was Seen as the “favour of the gods.” literally, a “divine something.”

Socrates often said that this inner voice was born with him and that it frequently warned him against mistakes. As according to Socrates, the Daimon was not an evil spirit or malevolent spirit, but rather a friend, and a counsellor or guardian spirit. Thought to be assigned to each person at their birth. For the Greeks divided daimons into two categories, either being benevolent or malevolent. Intriguingly these spirits are said to resemble that of the jinn or genie of Arab folklore… (( interestingly the word ‘Genius’ is derived from the Arabic term for Genie.)) In today’s terms through psychological understanding, the term daimon – daemon, whether good or bad, has come to represent an elemental force which contains within it an irrepressible drive towards individuation.”

New Moon in Virgo

dolcegabbana

Dolce & Gabbana. Beautiful image of a Caduceus, the ancient duality symbol of Mercury.

Sun at 5 Virgo. New moon in Virgo on Friday at 3:37am Pacific
Mercury enters Virgo (it’s ideal position; exaltation) on Thursday 8/29
Mars at 6 Virgo and Venus at 8 Virgo.
Jupiter at 14 Sagittarius
Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto retrograding.

We are in the dark of the moon, preparing for the rebirth of a New Moon this Friday. Clean your house and get yourself organized; if you do you’ll be ahead of the curve. Virgo is the sign of organization, service, practicality, detail,  purity and the focused mind. It’s the only Earth sign ruled by Mercury. This allows Virgo to take practical steps towards achieving ideals and dreams. Virgo makes goals into a reality. Because of this unique quality, I believe Virgo is closely related to the occult and Magick.

Because Virgo is ruled by the airy planet Mercury, it brings us messages through our mind’s eye and inner voice. Mercury speaks to us through signs and omens, and from this process we are guided to the right path. You can make use of this energy right now, whether you’re a Virgo or not.

Here’s the upcoming astrological events:

Thursday 8/29: Moon void-of-course in Leo all day; into Virgo at 4:57pm Pacific. Mercury moves into Virgo which places Mercury in it’s exalted position. Wednesdays are perfect for Mercury Magick for the next several weeks.

Friday 8/30: New Moon in Virgo at 3:37am Pacific. The Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars are traveling tightly together and trining Uranus in Taurus, which brings some unexpected circumstances to this New Moon. There’s also a need for liberation, and the desire to express one’s genius – all of this happening in our jobs, homes or health (Earth issues). Just go with the flow and honor your deep feelings.

Saturday 8/31: Moon into Libra at 4:08pm. New Moon still in effect today. Avoid being overly analytical about all the great movement happening now. Exercise your mind and avoid crankiness, since Mars is still in play in the morning. Thoughts get loftier in the evening.

Sunday, 9/01: Moon in Libra. How do we move forward in a balanced way? How do we include friends and family, work and play, into our dreams and visions for ourselves? All of us need other people for sharing, encouragement and companionship. The Sun and Mars form a conjunction in Virgo today, which happens only once every two years. We want to put action into our souls’ desires.

Week of August 13th

mont

Mount Hood, April 2019 by Autumn Schrock

Sun at 19 Leo
Mercury at 1 Leo
Mars at 26 Leo/ Venus at 19 Leo.
Jupiter at 14 Sagittarius Direct
Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto retrograding.

Really powerful, forward-moving energy this week! On Sunday, the huge, happy planet Jupiter moved Direct (forward), giving all of us new inspiration and energy. This is especially true for Sagittarians and Pisceans, as well as these areas of your chart. Mercury has also entered Leo, which is a MUCH happier and outgoing placement.

Also on Sunday, Uranus changed direction and went retrograde at 6 Taurus. Everyone, but especially Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, are feeling an urge to break free, to be liberated, to take an entirely new path, or to start a project over again.

Monday, yesterday, was a hard day with the Moon occulting (hiding) Pluto in Capricorn all day. Lots of heavy emotions leading to deep change, but we are through it now. Here’s the rest of the week:

Tuesday 8/13: Moon in Aquarius. Sun conjunct Venus occurs near 11pm Pacific, which resets the cycle of Venus. It’s a beautiful placement; a time of compromise, reaching agreements, creativity, love and friendship.

Wednesday 8/14: Full Moon in Aquarius. The brightest and most electric full moon of the year. The world is hushed as we consider the approach of Fall, and how we want to finish out the rest of this year. How do we balance our individual lives (Leo), with the needs of our friends and community (Aquarius)?

Thursday 8/15: Full Moon in Aquarius exact at 5:30am Pacific. Aquarius asks us to observe ourselves, take stock of where we are headed, and consider the future. Break out of the box and imagine a brand new life. Try something different, but most of all make time for friends. Detach and observe.

Friday 8/15: Moon in Pisces. Near 10am Pacific Mercury (in Leo) squares Uranus in Taurus) bringing unexpected twists and turns to our paths. Stop yourself from being impulsive this morning. The moon in Pisces wants you to use your intuition, and the square wants you to try new modes of action.

Saturday 8/16: Moon in Pisces, and  Mars into Virgo at 10:20pm Pacific. Great for detailed work, but watch for over analyzing things too much. The need for perfection can cause us to procrastinate, so try to plan for this so you can get SOMETHING accomplished over the next month. This energy is good for clearing clutter.

Sunday, 8/19: Moon in Aries. This is the last tropical day of Sun in Leo, so get your Sun Magick working today.

US Pluto Return

shapes

Everything has an astrology chart, even countries; and this is a transformative time for the US. Most of us can feel the intensity rising in our communities and in our country. The planet Pluto takes 248 years to make one orbit around the Sun, and we are just five years away from the planet returning to the same position it was in during the year 1776. The United States, as a country, will experience it’s first-ever “Pluto Return”, and it’s already begun.

During a Pluto Return, a country has to face it’s shadow. Pluto brings up toxic energy to be purged and healed, which hopefully leads to a rebirth. The issues of racism and white nationalism, guns, the divide between rich and poor, sexism and misogyny, power and control – have deep roots in our country and go all the way back to 1776 (and beyond). These issues have always been here, but it feels like they have risen to the top of the US consciousness in 2019. These dark, discordant and disruptive themes are all part of America’s shadow.

Posted on February 26, 2017 by PlanetaryDynamics

“Natal Pluto, 27 Capricorn 34:
CAPRICORN 28 A large aviary.  The keyword is COMMUNITY. When positive, the degree is exceptional success in making all personal concerns a matter of common welfare, and when negative, loss of all character in sheer officiousness.

Pluto plays a significant role in the monumental changes anticipated for the citizens of the United States. Commencing on April 21, 2017, Pluto is on its way in a seven year pilgrimage toward its 248 year cycle Return, culminating with a Station Direct on October 11, 2023. Its profound effects already felt, correspond with the country’s preoccupation of the investigation into the possible collusion of Trump campaign officials with Russian operatives and interference on their part in the 2016 US elections. The overall intensity of these issues establishes it as the most important circumstance related to the profound transit return. There will be periods of Stationary and Retrograde motion opposite both the natal Sun and Mercury to add great emphasis to an already penetrating reevaluation of the country’s founding principles. Pluto will be exact in its Return at 27 Capricorn 34, three times in 2022 and once in 2023. Pluto’s keywords are OBSESSION in natal interpretation, TRANSCENDENCE when in High Focus, and PROBITY with Mundane techniques. This political crisis demands that Pluto’s meaning and expression of Probity will facilitate a higher and more fitting manifestation of what the Founding Fathers envisioned 241 years ago. An historic battle of parties is enacted, with the hope of a transformation of sorts that will bring the United States back into the world’s favor with a doubling down of commitment to its original ideals.”

Hermes Mercurius Trismegistus depicted on the floor of Siena’s Duomo (Tuscany, Italy). by Giovanni di Stefano, 1488.

“That that which is Above is like that which is Below
and that which is Below is like that which is Above,
to accomplish the Miracle of Unity.”
– The Emerald Tablet

I’ve been encountering this ancient magician in some of my studies lately, and when I saw this image I thought I’d share it here. Astrology, alchemy and theosophy i.e. “Hermeticism” is based on the writings of the ancient figure Hermes Trismegistus (the Thrice Great Hermes). He is seen as the writer of Hermetic laws, founder of mystery schools and the creator of alchemy as a vehicle of human transformation. I’ve included the Kybalion’s Seven Hermetic Principles here from wiki:

Principle of Mentalism
The Principle of Mentalism embodies the idea that “All is Mind.” Everything that happens has to be a result of a mental state which precedes it. For anything to exist, thoughts had to form first, which then form physical reality or manifestation. “Your thoughts are seeds, plant positive seeds in your mind garden.”

Principle of Correspondence
The Principle of Correspondence expresses the idea that there is always a correspondence between the laws of phenomena of the various “planes” of being and life. As above, so below; as below, so above. This principle states that there is a harmony which can be made, agreement and correspondence between these planes, delineated as:
The Great Physical Plane
The Great Mental Plane
The Great Spiritual Plane

Principle of Vibration
This expounds the idea that motion is manifest in everything in the Universe, that nothing rests, and everything moves, vibrates and circles. This principle explains that the distinction between manifestations of Matter, Energy, Mind, and even Spirit, are the result of only different “vibrations”.[6] The higher a person is on the scale, the higher the rate of vibration will be. Here, The All is said to be at an infinite level of vibration, almost to the point of being at rest. There are said to be millions upon millions of varying degrees between the highest level, The All, and the objects of the lowest vibration.
Mental Transmutation is described as the practical application of this principle. To change one’s mental state is to change vibration. One may do this by an effort of Will, by means of deliberately “fixing the attention” upon a more desirable state.

Principle of Polarity
The Principle of Polarity embodies the idea that everything is dual, everything has two poles, and everything has its opposite. All manifested things have two sides, two aspects, or two poles. Everything “is” and “isn’t” at the same time, all truths are but half truths and every truth is half false, there are two sides to everything, opposites are identical in nature yet different in degree, extremes meet, and all paradoxes may be reconciled.

Principle of Rhythm
The Principle of Rhythm expresses the idea that in everything there is manifested a measured motion, a to and from, a flow and inflow, a swing backward and forward, a pendulum-like movement.[12] There is rhythm between every pair of opposites, or poles, and is closely related to the Principle of Polarity.[13] It can be seen that this Principle enables transition from one pole to the other, and not necessarily poles of extreme opposites.

Principle of Cause and Effect
It explains that there is a cause for every effect, and an effect for every cause.[14] It also states that there is no such thing as chance, that chance is merely a term indicating extant causes not recognized or perceived.[15] The Principle is clarified in the chapter Causation.

Principle of Gender
The Principle of Gender embodies the idea that gender is manifested in everything.[16] The authors state that this does not relate explicitly to the commonly understood notion of sex, but rather “… to beget; to procreate, to generate, to create, or to produce…” in general. Gender manifests itself on all planes as the Feminine and Masculine principles.
Mental Gender is described as a Hermetic concept which relates to the feminine and masculine principles. It does not refer to someone’s physical sex, nor does it suggest that someone of a certain sex necessarily has a matching mental gender. Ideally, one wants to have a balanced mental gender.
The concept put forth in The Kybalion states that gender exists on all planes of existence (Physical, Mental and Spiritual), and represents different aspects on different planes. Everything and everyone contains these two elements or principles.
The Feminine principle is always in the direction of receiving impressions, and has a much more varied field of operation than the Masculine. The Feminine conducts the work of generating new thoughts, concepts and ideas, including the work of the imagination.
The Masculine principle is always in the direction of giving out or expressing, and contents itself with the “Will” in its varied phases.

Regarding the image:

“Hermes Mercurius Trismegistus depicted on the floor of Siena’s Duomo (Tuscany, Italy). This work is attributed to Giovanni di Stefano and dates back to 1488.

The title block below Hermes’ feet calls him “Hermis Mercurius Trimegistus contemporaneus Moysi” (Hermes Mercurius Trismegistus, a contemporary of Moses). The two men to whom Hermes gives a book are probably the Western and Eastern sages and are represented as receiving the divine gnosis from Hermes. On the sign against which Hermes is leaning we can read: “Deus omnium creator secum Deum fecit visibilem et hunc fecit primum et solum quo oblectatus est et valde amavit proprium filium qui appellatur Sanctum Verbum” (And God, creator of all things, from Himself generated a visible God and this was the first and only in whom He was delighted and strongly loved His own Son who is called Holy Word). This quotation mixes together several passages from the Corpus Hermeticum, and especially the first book of it, called “Pimander”, which had been translated into Latin by Marsilio Ficino. On the pages of the book we can read: “suscipite o licteras et leges egiptii” (Egyptians, receive the letters and the laws!), which refers to Hermes’ role as inventor of writing, the arts, and legislation.”

August horoscopes

effbd-rwsmage
New Moon at 8 Leo tonight at 8:18pm PDT.
Mercury stationing (standing still) at 24 Cancer and now Direct.
Mars at 18 Leo/ Venus at 3 Leo.
Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto retrograding.

New Moon in Leo, with Mercury going Direct around the same time. Things are moving forward again! We are all inspired by the Sun’s transit of Leo. Let the spark of your soul expand and express itself.

The horoscopes below are written from the perspective of rising signs, but there are threads of meaning if you read for your Sun sign too. If you don’t know your rising sign, or ascendant, you can plug in your birth information here to find it.

Aries rising – Your ruler, Mars, is traveling through Leo right now, which enhances your leadership ambitions.  Your creativity and romantic life are getting a huge boost this summer. With Mars in Leo, your heart is in charge, so follow a meaningful path. Expect a boost with Jupiter going Direct on August 11th, so get yourself organized in the next couple of weeks.

Taurus rising – Your ruling planet, Venus, has moved into Leo, which is squaring your sign. She’s calling on you to accept where you are, and make adjustments so you can move forward in your life. Squares usually require us to contribute something or do some work. There’s a Sun-Venus conjunction in two weeks, which will start a new 8-year creative cycle. What do you want to be making for the next eight years?

Gemini rising – Your ruler, Mercury, is moving into Direct motion tonight in Cancer. It’s excellent that he’s moving forward again, but Cancer severely dulls Mercury’s sharp edge, and makes you focus more on feelings. You’ll feel more up-to-speed in a couple of weeks, so spend this time communicating well with people your love 🙂

Cancer Rising – The Leo New Moon is keeping you focused on your spiritual connection – which has helped you walk through the upheaval of the last month. July has been rough, but things will be easier now. Focus on reorganizing your life. You are benefitted by the North Node (good luck and destiny) in Cancer for the next year or so. Fertility, creativity and vulnerability are all qualities that each sign can aspire to this year.

Leo Rising – New Moon in Leo tonight! Leo is the ONLY sign ruled by the Sun, making you guys stand out. The New Moon, Mars, and Venus in Leo, are all sending you some lovely, fresh energy to get your passions rolling out to the public. You are probably feeling some sparkly energy and excitement this month.

Virgo rising – Your ruler, Mercury is still slogging through Cancer, but at least is now Direct. Focus on your values and financial health this month. It’s a good time for visioning and organization. Once Mercury moves into Leo, and later Virgo, you will be in your element and ready to move forward in your life.
