Eclipse at 28 Leo

ravn

Solar Eclipse at 28 Leo: 11:25am Pacific, Monday morning, August 21st.

New Moon in Leo: 11:30am.

Moon’s eclipse of the Sun will also TRINE Uranus at 28 Aries! Watch for fireworks. This is a major turning point in our personal lives, AND society at large. Events could change suddenly. Unexpected, hidden insights could appear out of nowhere next week. Eclipse’s can take awhile to manifest too, so the next six months could reveal more sudden changes.

On top of this, most of the other planets are currently Retrograde, asking us to review and reorganize the growth we’ve experienced over the past few months:

Mercury Retrograde in Virgo until September 5th: Reflect. Bring something back that you’ve had on “hold”. Revise, reconfigure and try a different approach or path.
Sun, Moon, Mars and the North Node in Leo. That’s a LOT of action where Leo falls in your chart. You can find your chart here, or set up a reading with me here.
Saturn stationing Direct next Friday at 21 Sagittarius
This eclipse is on the North Node (destiny), leading us to our future. You can get a glimpse of your future if you pay attention on Monday.

When the World falls under the influence of an eclipse, things are out of the ordinary. It’s an uncommon time, and we have rare and insightful experiences. It’s like walking around a darkened room with a black light – things show up differently, and we see things in a way we don’t normally see them. An eclipse can illuminate your path of meaning and life purpose, and bring a new phase of growth and adventure. It’s a hushed, quiet time when you can hear your Higher Soul speaking to you.

We touch the foundations of why we are here on this planet. Each of us gains some new insight or information into the life we are currently leading. This information can come through anything – our family, friends, a situation at work, or a bolt of lightning straight from the heavens into our consciousness. When it’s an eclipse, I pay close attention to what I hear, see and think, because there’s something synchronistic about it. No sudden moves though; think things through and give any revolutionary inklings time to take shape.

Check out the horoscopes below to see how this eclipse will affect you. Read your Rising sign, NOT Sun sign. You can figure out your Rising sign (or Ascendant) here

Aries — Let your creativity shine and your romantic side fully express itself. If you’re an artist, writer or musician this will be a fortunate time for you. If you’re looking for love you are likely to meet someone in the next few months.

Taurus — Hanging out at home is where you want to be. This eclipse lands in you House AND the bedrock of your soul, illuminating your personal psychology. Your personal life is at a turning point, and the next six months could see a change for the better. Be brave and seek counseling if needed.

Gemini — The Sun, Moon and Mars are in your favorite place! The 3rd house of communication, socializing, teaching and learning. Self expression is enhanced so explore your creativity.

Cancer — The eclipse signals a transformation with your money and values. Cancerians need security to feel stable, and with Saturn stationing nearby in a loose trine you should feel on top of things. There could be a boost with values and self esteem in the next few months.

Leo — Mars in Leo gives you the confidence to assume leadership of your life. You’ve had your birthday and you are shining. The fortune you’ve experienced the past couple of years is revving up for a finale, so make the most of this time. Be Bold and embrace the positive changes that are coming. Where do you want to go?

Virgo — The eclipse in Leo is in your 12th House of spirituality and psychology. It’s a time for solitude and contemplation. This house is also known as your “blind spot”, so pay attention and see if you’re repeating old patterns.

Libra — Time to socialize and solidify hopes and wishes. Where do you want to be a year from now? Mars is giving you the drive to make it happen. Bring your wishes into reality.

Scorpio — Your 10th House of ambition, public image, career and direction is foremost in your mind. This eclipse could generate a huge shift in your status. Your ruler Mars is active here and is driving you to work harder. The next six months bring recognition – you are out in the world and highly visible.

Sagittarius — Mars in Leo sends sparks of energy, drive and action to your ideas! Entering a new course of study might be appealing to you. Expanding your life perspective through long distance travel is also possible. Your focus is the higher mind.

Capricorn — You’re looking at issues around debt, credit and real estate… and sex and death too. The eclipse is in your 8th House, and you need to upgrade your views on these issues. This is doubly highlighted by Saturn stationing in Sagittarius next Friday. There’s some deep diving into psychological issues which will yield positive results around your birthday.

Aquarius — The eclipse inspires you to reassess your relationships… ALL of them. You’re redoing your approach to love itself. Look at your values and write a list of the qualities you’re looking for in a partner. A soul mate has appeared – or will be before December.

Pisces — Work, health and habits. You’ve had a lot of business the past few months, and will continue to work hard for the next several weeks. Mars in Leo is physical, so it’s a great time to start eating better and working out. It’s always good for a Pisces-influenced person to get out of their imaginations and into their physicality.

June Astro Report

The Sun is now in Cancer, about to catch up with Mercury and Mars which are also swimming through the sign of the Crab. This brings attention to the home front and the deep, vulnerable parts of ourselves. Be generous and kind to yourself for the next month. Focus on self nurturing and the things that bring you a sense of security (and of course straighten up your house). There’s been so much fiery storming through Gemini the last month, this new water vibe feels purifying and refreshing.
Jupiter is moving forward in Libra, giving a huge, fortunate expansion to relationships and partnerships of all kinds. Saturn continues it’s backward trek through Sagittarius, asking us to review the growth we’ve made in our life perspectives over the past several months. Where is your faith and truth?
Uranus is in the last degrees of Aries, about to jump into Taurus. It will be another year or two before the Revolutionary planet trines (throws supportive love) to Pluto in Capricorn, but when it does, look out. We are in the throws of a decaying, outworn paradigm (Capricorn), and something fresh, earth-based and humanitarian is about to take shape. The old way of doing things cannot survive the upcoming radical change.

Although it’s challenging, we need to be honest with ourselves and grounded in reality. There’s simply no more chances for people or situations that diminish you.

Jupiter flyby

Unbelievable video of Jupiter released yesterday. I’m stunned. It is such a beautiful planet! Exquisite… just like the mysticism behind it.

Jupiter is going Direct on Friday, June 9th in the early morning.

“Every 53 days, NASA’s Juno spacecraft flies close to Jupiter and travels from the giant gas planet’s north pole to and past its south pole, shooting photos along the way. The eye-opening 2-minute video above was created using a set of these still photos.

Colossal reports that it takes 1.5 days for the 6 megabytes of photo data captured over 2 hours to be downloaded by scientists on Earth.

After the raw photos were beamed to Earth and made available to the public, Gerald Eichstädt colorized them, Sean Doran set the stills in motion, and Avi Solomon added some music to create the experience above — a taste of what flying over the gas planet would be like. The photos are color-enhanced, though, so what you’d see with your own eyes would be much more flat.

Here’s another colorized view created by NASA, Eichstädt, and Doran (and slightly brightened):

colorized-800x744

You can find more of these colorized images and videos on Doran’s Flickr. You can also follow along with updates from the Juno mission on NASA’s website.”

Astro Report: Gemini season

Sun into Gemini: May 20th at 1:31pm.
New Moon in Gemini: Thursday, May 25th at 12:44pm.
Mercury is Direct in Taurus.
Saturn – Uranus trine at 26 degrees (Sagittarius and Aries respectively) TODAY.
Venus Direct in Aries.  Mars Direct in Gemini.

Silence of the Night

Silence of the Night, Reiji Hiramatsu

I’d say the big thing is this trine with Saturn and Uranus today. This is a harmonious connection between two complete opposites:

Saturn is reality, time, responsibility, history, discipline, commitment, stability, and the establishment. It is slow, solid change.

Uranus is revolution, invention, science, rebelliousness, genius, Change, disruption, electricity and awakening. It is sudden change.

So these two are having a friendly conversation today, which is interesting.  If you have a duality in your life, you might find some common ground today. The main thing is that Saturn will INSIST on any changes you make being well thought out and solid. In my view, Saturn is heavier than Uranus and so those energies carry more weight, BUT they will have to find a compromise since Uranus will not be silenced.

A new physical reality comes into view.
A revolution with a solid foundation.
A path to making aspirations into realities.

This is a good day to set some goals ❤

This trine is also happening in the fire signs of Aries and Sagittarius, which brings guts, confidence, self esteem and passion. Creativity and adventure. Composers, artists, actors, musicians and performers are ignited by this energy today. Let your light shine.

Venus Morning Star

Tuesday's Child

by Michael Parkes

Venus Retrograde 1:09am in Aries, Saturday, March 4th, 2017.

Venus goes into the underworld to reborn on April 15th as the Morning Star. This time is a slow down or withdrawal of issues regarding women, beauty, finances, art and socializing. It’s best to accept it, be patient, journey within yourself and support friends that are doing the same thing.

Old flames could come back into the picture to remind you of lessons learned, or to attain final closure. That being said the best focus is to work on your personal relationship with love and resetting your perspectives. This could be a time of solitude, or rekindling relationships that have become stagnant. The goal is to let go of the past so you can move forward on April 15th when Venus emerges reborn.

Excellent article on the Venus cycle:

The Venus Cycle
Herald of the morning – Venus as Morning Star by Julija Simas

“In ancient Lithuanian star lore, Venus as morning star was called Aušrinė and was seen as a second Sun. as she was the first to lighten the dawn, which is also the meaning of her name . She was also the daughter of the Sun together with her evening star sister Vakarinė. These two stars were the servants of the Sun, Aušrinė would bring fire, water and soup to the Sun and her husband the Moon(the Moon masculine?? Shows how ancient these depictions are) and the evening star Vakarinė would make their bed for the night.

These 2 obvious apparitions of Venus,  were often seen as 2 completely different stars, with 2 completely different identities and in many more cultures around the world. As we get to know the Venus cycle we get to see that Venus no longer is Venus just in a sign, or a house, but she is either an evening star or a morning star, and that she  is also  in one her of her phases as part of that apparition, which all  bring much more depth and meaning to our own natal Venus. For example Venus in Gemini in the 2nd house, square Jupiter may not be enough information to describe your Venus. Do you know if you were born with an evening star Venus or a morning star Venus? An easy way to tell is, if Venus is behind your Sun in the zodiac in your natal chart she is a morning star, and if she is ahead in the zodiac in your natal chart, she is and evening star. Say your Venus is 15° Gemini,  and your Sun is 10° Leo, Venus is behind in the zodiac, therefore a morning star. Or turn your chart as if the Sun is on the horizon-the Ascendant, if Venus is above the horizon she rises before the Sun and is a morning star, if she is below horizon she is an evening star. To determine what phase she is in your natal chart is a bit trickier. Which I will get to in another update.

As a renewed morning star Venus has many names and associations,  as she returns to the skies to shine her light, the Venus archetype becomes one more like a warrior, Aries like, promethean, eager and keen to get on with it, on a mission I like to say.
As a  morning star Venus is known as:

Phosphorus
Oriental (rising in the east)
Lucifer (the light bringer, the angel cast out of heaven who then becomes Satan in christian bible. The sacred feminine was regarded as too potent to deal with by the patriarchy establishing itself through various religions around the globe, making out that the power of the sacred feminine was dangerous and scary and not to be used, similar to the number 666)
Lights up the morning sky, is up before the Sun
Masculine, Diurnal, Yang
A Warrior goddess
She ascends rapidly –  (comes out of Sun’s beams quickly as Sun moves off ), still moving much slower than Sun
She descends slowly – as the cycle progresses she catches up with the speed of the Sun and even doubles it  (before disappearing for exterior conjunction) dimming as she moves further away from Earth
Visible 6-8 days after rx conj
Venus is now on a Mission
Gains light,, then loses light -peaks in crescent shape as she waxes to become full. Note we never see Venus in fullness phase, like  a full moon, as she is at that stage behind the Sun.
Begins as a crescent then waxes to fullness as she dims from our skies again toward superior conjunction

At each apparition as a morning star or evening star, Venus is known to have 7 phases(this varies depends on astronomer or astrologer)  at any particular phase the characteristics of Venus are determined by Venus being either:

Morning – Evening
Earthy – Heavenly  – (close to earth or farthest away)
Aphrodite Pandemos(earthy, lusty), Aphrodite Urania(heavenly, divine)
Visible or  – Invisible(visiting the underworld)
Fast or Slow
Ascending or Descending
Taurus or Libra
Losing light or gaining light”

“SUPER apt for Lilith in Scorpio opposite Witch Queen Hecate in Taurus.”

Reposting rom Mystic Medusa

“Although shedding is difficult for all of us, for a woman to shed what has falsely hidden her more authentic experience is a great liberation. The freedom felt after the loss of persona is spiritually nourishing, and the creativity released from within can be enormous, allowing her to create herself in a more ‘true’ form. This is the process I am calling female shamanism—an ongoing shedding of false selves in favor of the active development of more authentic forms of expression.”

“The snake is the ancient totem of women all over the world and speaks to the lunar nature of feminine biological evolution. A woman’s natural timing is cyclical, circular, spiral, nonlinear, and nonrational. Women need to replace their crystalized identities, as these shatter or dissolve through the shamanic process, with a deliberately fluid ego-identity. If a woman can begin to appreciate and cultivate the value of an identity that is always changing, continually in flux, never completely solid, she begins to align with what shamans and Buddhists describe as ‘reality.’ Those with the sight to see into the world of energy, see that everything is made of energy, and energy is always in motion. The rest of the world is practicing to become able to accept and tolerate 15541435_1189272157787618_3331473082345808686_nthis vision of reality, which is in conflict with the one we were originally taught to believe.”
