Friday’s New Moon at 11 Aries continues to unfold this week, as Mars makes an exact conjunction with Saturn at 23 Aquarius (improvement, liberation, the future). What are you driven towards? This aspect focuses our Will, self-control and discipline. It’s not enough to have big ideas and ambitions, Saturn makes you work hard for them. With this conjunction we are open to direction from authority figures, and we follow the tried-and-true path. This increases our chances for success! There are limits on pushing TOO hard though – you need to play by Saturn’s rules.

Also, this Mars-Saturn conjunction is exactly square the Moon’s nodes. Something will come up this week that is non-negotiable. There’s something you MUST DO, in order to proceed in life towards the North Node in Taurus (unconditional self-love, abundance, prosperity, self-sufficiency). This is where each of us is headed right now. We will see a major change in the next couple of weeks, both with this aspect, and next week with the exact conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune.

The Aries New Moon last Friday was conjunct Mercury and Chiron. It was a new beginning for the year ahead, but also the start of a new phase of healing our deepest wounds. We can find this healing through reading, talking, writing, listening, therapy or any form of self-expression. Once we reach a new understanding, it is important to feel the pain and grieve. Owning the hurt feelings is the way to deep peace.

Monday, April 4th: Moon in Taurus is exalted, especially on a Monday. Normally it would be great for Moon Magick, but today we also have Mars conjunct Saturn. Keep a low profile and focus on your inner work. There’s some wonderful progress that can be made, but these planets are both malefics, so there is a threat of anger and violence.

Tuesday, April 5th: Moon in Gemini brings sociability and negotiation. This is a fast-moving day, and there will be lots of developments. Venus moves into Pisces at 8:18am Pacific, which is the sign of her exaltation or greatest expression. Taureans and Librans are going to have a great couple of months. Venus in Pisces is inspiring, creative, dreamy, imaginative, and romantic. Don’t get lost in lustful fantasies, no matter how enticing. This is a wonderful placement for all artists.

Wednesday, April 6th: Moon in Gemini makes five different aspects today – positive trines with Mars, Saturn and Venus, while squaring Jupiter and Neptune. There could be harmony and great communication in relationships today, but the squares bring general confusion. No big decisions today, focus on mindfulness and getting grounded.

Thursday, April 7th: Moon in Cancer makes a lovely trine with Venus newly in Pisces. It’s a romantic and sentimental day. Also, Mercury sextile Saturn is exact, which brings grounded communications. We choose our words carefully and communicate what’s really on our minds. Great day for studying and applying yourself to anything mentally challenging. If you get overwhelmed, take some deep breaths and meditate.

Friday, April 8th: Moon in Cancer has you staying home and nesting. Be gentle… Easy Does It. Creativity, nostalgia, food, and emotional release are good uses of this energy. Today Mercury sextile Mars is exact, which supercharges our minds from yesterday’s shifts. There will be more good news and development about our ideas.

Saturday, April 9th: Moon in Cancer goes void-of-course at 6pm. Stay home tonight. Avoid difficult conversations because sensitivities are high. The Moon is opposite Pluto today (while Pluto squares Mercury) so there could be a new understanding, OR tension and control issues.

Sunday, April 10th: Moon in Leo brings us back to our center, to our reason for being. In the evening, Mercury enters Taurus – where he’s not all that happy. The lightning-fast Messenger doesn’t like the slow pace of the Bull. Also, Mercury square Pluto is exact which is rough because our Mind faces the Dark Side. Good day for shadow work i.e. examining self-sabotage, toxic patterns, fears, and control issues. Repressed thoughts and desires could rise to the surface. Watch out for negative thinking in your head or from the mouths of other people.

Last Wednesday’s New Moon at 12 Pisces continues to unfold, and this week two giants of the sky join the Piscean party – the Sun and Jupiter. These planets are the greatest benefics in astrology, and each brings joy, luck, money and expansion in their own right. In a conjunction, like we have this week, they initiate a rebirth. This weekend they joined up in their annual conjunction, bringing forth a new era for each of us.

We are still reeling from last week though, and we could use some positive energy. Mars, Venus and Pluto were conjunct last Thursday at 27 Capricorn, starting us on a new descent into the underworld. This is a challenging conjunction. Mars has been volatile the past few months, and we are witnessing the horrific results with Putin’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine.

Mars and Venus just entered Aquarius together this weekend, starting a new, two-year cycle. I’m hoping the focus will change from conquest to humanitarian pursuits. Most of the planets are traveling through new territory. Everything is resetting itself and starting new cycles. There’s a lot of energy up in the air, and many of us are feeling lost and confused. One good way to work through this, is to keep a consistent spiritual practice. If you do something every morning, it will help you make sense of the changes in the world, and in your own psyche. Pisces is a time of endings, surrender, and union with the divine.

Monday, March 7th: Moon in Taurus is exalted, especially on a Monday! Today is excellent for Moon Magick: anything involving fertility, women’s issues, children, nurturing, your home, animals, intuition and emotions. Don’t try and negotiate with authority figures today, let them win the argument. Also, things slow waaaay down with the Moon in Taurus, and we indulge in sensual delights. Get yourself an excellent dinner because Taurus loves food.

Tuesday, March 8th: Moon into Gemini at 10:40am Pacific trines Pluto, then Venus and Mars. This is a fast-moving day, and there will be lots of communication on all levels. Developments are rapid, and we feel like we’re getting things done. THIS is a great day for networking, commerce, business, groups, transactions and social activities. We get moving today.

Wednesday, March 9th: Moon in Gemini all day as his ruler, Mercury, enters Pisces. Mercury is in his “fall” here, which means he is extraordinarily unhappy. Mercury, representing our minds, is unable to focus or move with any speed while moving through Pisces. Lots of confusing currents today, so ride the waves. Moon squares Jupiter in Pisces too, which adds to the confusion.

Thursday, March 10th: Moon is void-of-course in Gemini ALL DAY!! Don’t do anything of any importance. Follow plans that are pre-arranged and drive carefully. Despite the void moon it will be a chatty day with lots of activity. With Mercury in Pisces, important decisions could be difficult to formulate. Practice mindfulness.

Friday, March 11th: Moon in Cancer all day, and we become homebodies. Take the day off if you can, or work from home. Be gentle… Easy Does It. Creativity, nostalgia, food, and emotional release are good uses of this energy. It’s a good date night, but people will be sensitive and vulnerable, so be aware.

Saturday, March 12th: Moon in Cancer. Avoid difficult conversations today because sensitivities are high. Also, the Moon is opposite Pluto today, bringing up tensions and control issues.

Sunday, March 13th: Moon into Leo at 12:32pm Pacific. There’s a lot of planets in transition right now, and we are finding new ways of looking at things. The Moon in Leo brings us back to our center, to our reason for being. We reconnect with ourselves today – in a BIG way. The Sun conjuncts Neptune today as well.

The Sun moves through the last degrees of Capricorn this week, culminating with a Full Moon in Cancer next Monday, January 17th. That’s a LOT of energy focused on our home and family life. Pluto at 26 Capricorn is also in the mix. This energy encourages transformation and spiritual evolution. You are evolving, especially in the material, earthy sides of your life. Pluto presents us with opportunities to evolve and transform – usually whether we want to or not.

Mercury turns retrograde in Aquarius this Friday, January 14th while squaring Uranus. A revolution could be brewing in your personal life, since Uranus calls us to freedom and liberation. The square aspect, means there’s a test we need to overcome so we can turn a corner and start a fresh path. Mercury stationing, and squaring Uranus, can bring lots of nervousness and uncertainty due to sudden changes and events. There could be extremes, and changes in plans.

We also have Venus retrograde conjunct Pluto. Virgos, Capricorns and Pisceans, you will benefit by paying attention to Venus all through January.

Monday, January 10th: Moon in Taurus is exalted, especially on a Monday! Today is excellent for Moon Magick. With Taurus, do not confront or negotiate with authority figures, let them win the argument. You can push back next week. Also, things slow waaaay down with the Moon in Taurus, and we indulge in sensual delights. Get yourself an excellent dinner because Taurus loves food.

Tuesday, January 11th: Moon in Taurus. Slow, quiet day. Any activity that awakens the five senses is highlighted. Get outside today and appreciate nature. Taurus is love, beauty, passion, commitment, nature, and animals. Avoid power struggles, control issues and obsession. Pushiness and bullying will get you nowhere. Mars in Sagittarius squares Neptune in Pisces at 20 degrees. Agendas could get watered down or confused, so don’t be discouraged if actions don’t bring immediate results.

Wednesday, January 12th: Moon void-of-course in Taurus all day, into Gemini at 7:08pm Pacific. Moon conjuncts Uranus, then trines Venus accentuating the earthy, sensual, Taurus vibe. Any activity that awakens the five senses is highlighted. Mercury is slowing down, preparing to go retrograde on Friday, so actions may not bear results this week.

Thursday, January 13th: Moon in Gemini squares Jupiter in Pisces then trines Mercury in Aquarius. Chatty day with lots of activity, but with Mercury stationing, important decisions could be difficult to formulate. Listen to others, respect their wishes and look to the common good.

Friday, January 14th: Mercury goes retrograde in the pre dawn hours at 9 Aquarius. With Mercury stationing, hold off on important conversations or purchases. Moon in Gemini goes void-of-course at 6:22pm Pacific, kicking off a social and talkative evening. Mind the details of your life. The Moon in Gemini will help us communicate openly about our feelings. Mercury retrograde until Feb. 3rd.

Saturday, January 15th: Moon in Cancer. Avoid difficult conversations today because sensitivities are high. Be gentle… Easy Does It. Creativity, nostalgia, food, and emotional release are good uses of this energy. We are in the orb of the Full Moon Monday night.

Sunday, January 16th: Moon in Cancer and Sun conjunct Pluto. Be prepared for some intensity with this aspect and the approaching Full Moon. Pluto lets you access the deepest darkest parts of your subconscious – bringing them to the light – in order to eliminate fear and heal past trauma.

Venus in the Underworld

Parmigianino “Circe with the Companions of Ulysses”, ca. 1527 Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence

The planet Venus follows a mystical course through the skies, which has been interpreted in various ways by ancient cultures around the world. It’s important right now, because this weekend was one of the most powerful moments of her cycle. Last Saturday, January 8th, Venus was perfectly conjunct the Sun at 19 Capricorn. This is a key moment, because this represents Venus “in the underworld”.

The Venus cycle begins when she appears as the evening star; visible high in the West above the horizon at Sunset. This happened last Fall – in October/November 2021. I remember seeing her during my evening walks. When she reached her highest point, she turned retrograde (moved backwards), and began a slow descent towards the Sun. Every evening she appeared a little lower in the sky, until January 3rd when she disappeared in the fires of the Sun.

When the Sun and Venus are conjunct, the Sun is simply too bright for Venus to be seen. Because Venus disappears, she is said to enter the “underworld”. It’s called an “inferior conjunction”, meaning the planet Venus is between the Sun and the Earth. This is an important phase! Let your life mirror the cycle of Venus. Go inward and disolve yourself. Release limitations, and prepare for a rebirth. While Venus is traveling through the Underworld, each of us can undergo our own deep, personal transformation, and it’s happening right now.

After her meeting with the Sun, Venus continues through the underworld. She finally rises in the East, in the pre-dawn sky, about a week later. At this moment, she is reborn as the Morning Star, or Lucifer the “light bearer”, and becomes the herald of a new path. In our current cycle, she emerges on January 15th completely transformed.

Venus will be the morning star from January 15th to February 4th. When she reappears, each of us is reborn as a warrior. It’s a powerful burst of youthful, feminine energy, and we can pursue what we really want. We emerge renewed and revitalized.

For now however, each of us is in a cocoon, reshaping ourselves. You may be feeling yourself going through a lot of changes. We are letting go of old relationships, possessions, ideals, fantasies and attitudes. It’s a deep, personal, inner transformation through inner fire. Take some time for yourself this week. Spend some time alone… in solitude. Rebirth yourself with creativity, beauty and harmony. With Pluto nearby, this adds up to a period of deep evolution for each of us.

🪐 View Planet Parade in December 🪐

Observers from the Earth will have a chance to spot the planet parade at the beginning of December. Five planets will gather in one sky area:
🌟 Venus (-4.7m)
🌟 Saturn (0.9m)
🌟 Jupiter (-1.8 )
🌟 Neptun (7.7)
🌟 Uranus (6.0)

The dwarf planet Ceres (6.9), a large asteroid Pallas (7.6), and the Moon (-11.4) will settle nearby.

The best time to observe them is December 12, 2021; look for the celestial objects right after sunset. Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and the Moon will be visible to the naked eye. A pair of binoculars or a small telescope will help you to see the dimmer Neptune, Uranus, Ceres, and Pallas. 🔭

  • Although there is now an official scientific definition of the term “planet parade,” astronomers use it to denote an astronomical event that happens when Solar System planets line up in the same sky area as seen from the Earth.

The Sun moves through the last degrees of Scorpio this week, culminating with an ECLIPSE/Full Moon THIS Thursday night at 27 Taurus. That’s a LOT of force and power, but it’s also trine to Pluto over in Capricorn. This energy encourages transformation and spiritual evolution. You are evolving, especially in the material, earthy sides of your life. Pluto doesn’t leave us a choice either – it’s something you have to do. This lunar eclipse lets you access the deepest darkest parts of your subconscious – bringing them to the light – in order to eliminate fear and heal past trauma. This Moon brings peak experiences with beauty, health, relationships, money, home, job and survival. Taurus is a money sign, and indicates prosperity and love. Since this Full Moon takes place in the last degrees of Taurus, we are completing a personal cycle of growth, and something new is about to begin. The Sun enters Sagittarius next Sunday.

The last month has been a deep dive into exploring our ambitions, healing psychological wounds and uncovering hidden agendas. Sun in Scorpio represents personal power and the truth, and wherever it appears in your chart is where you fearlessly walk through the shadows to find the treasure within you.

There’s a bunch of big aspects this week leading up to the Eclipse, but the trickiest one is the tense and disruptive Mars in Scorpio opposing Uranus in Taurus. It started yesterday with Mercury opposing Uranus; this brings a nervous edge to communications through Tuesday. With Mars opposing Uranus, instincts are heightened and there can be sudden breathroughs. We might have revelations or anxiety, or have a strong urge towards liberation.

Monday, December 15th: Moon in Aries makes us fiesty! Sun and Moon in Mars-ruled signs gives us a driven and ambitious start to the week. We each have a direct line to our Will and can make good progress. Avoid headstrong, risky behavior, or engaging in power plays with others. Watch out for taking on more than you can handle.

Sun in Scorpio squares Jupiter in Aquarius: Look out for over-confidence and arrogance. We each need to do some boundary-setting between our emotions and the needs of our friends. Grab opportunities today and try not to overindulge in anything (Jupiter).

Tuesday, December 16th: Moon in Aries is void-of-course at 7:51am, then void ALL DAY until 6:18pm Pacific when she enters Taurus. No negotiating or risk taking today! Instead, work on your personal goals and health. Tests might come up around your identity and who you are becoming. Best to go slow and stay present with yourself so you can respond properly in the moment. Each of us has a new way of being, and a new life manifesting.

Wednesday, December 17th: Moon in Taurus. Mars in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus, asking us to reconcile our passions with our resources – in a way that liberates us. Moon trines Venus, accentuating the earthy, sensual, Taurus vibe, and moves on to conjunct Uranus. We are in the orb of the Full Moon tomorrow night. Any activity that awakens the five senses is highlighted. It’s a sensual full moon. Very passionate night.

Thursday, December 18th: Full Moon and ECLIPSE at 11:00pm Pacific in Taurus makes a couple of tense aspects today with Mercury and Jupiter. Mercury in Scorpio also trines Neptune in Pisces in the morning, which brings our minds and instincts into a wonderful, watery harmony. Good aspect for creativity and deep connections with others. The Full Moon brings love, beauty, passion, commitment, nature, animals, and the Divine Feminine. Avoid power struggles, control issues and obsession. Pushiness and bullying will get you nowhere. Listen to others, respect their wishes and look to the common good. Taurus wants us all to be healthy and secure.

Friday, December 19th: Moon in Gemini. We are in still in the the orb of the Full Moon, but today we are socializing and talking endlessly about it. Mind the details of your life. Venus trines Uranus in the middle of the night, bringing sudden, (hopefully positive) developments to relationships. The Moon in Gemini will help us communicate openly about our feelings.

Saturday, December 20th: Moon in Gemini continues yesterday’s conversations. Today we have Mercury in Scorpio squaring Jupiter in Aquarius, which brings a serious tone to the day. We set boundaries with friends or groups through our thinking and communications. We can find real meaning in our relationships, because Mercury in Scorpio favors deep understanding between people.

Sunday, December 21st: Moon void-of-course in Gemini all day, entering Cancer at 7:30pm Pacific. Sun into SAGITTARIUS at 6:30pm. We enter a new energy field in the fire sign of the Centaur. Take stock and think about setting some goals. Sagittarius is the sign of the Archer, and he likes to aim at a target. Where will you focus your energies for the coming Winter?

Week of June 22nd

Crystal pool inside a cave in New Zealand. Crystal is the stone of the zodiac sign Cancer

CURRENTLY:
Sun at 1 Cancer
Mercury RETROGRADE at 14 Cancer (weak)
Venus RETROGRADE at 5 Gemini (neutral)
Mars at 26 Pisces (weak)
Jupiter RETROGRADE at 25 Capricorn (fall, very weak)
Saturn RETROGRADE at 0 Aquarius (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 24 Capricorn
Neptune at 20 Pisces (rulership, strong)
North Node at 29 Gemini

We had a major shift this weekend, did you feel it? The North Node conjunct the New Moon on Saturday gave us a glimpse of the future, and what will be developing over the next six months. It’s interesting to notice any signs or messages from the Universe during an eclipse; what happened in your life?

Astrologically, the Sun and Moon were conjunct with the North Node (future) bringing us a powerful New Moon Eclipse in Cancer. Along with this we had the Summer Solstice, which is the high point of light for the whole year. From now on the days will gradually get shorter.

In the background we have many retrograde planets – Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter are all retrograde, with Neptune turning retrograde on Monday at 9:30pm. This means we are reassessing every corner of our lives this Summer. We are going over ground we’ve already covered to see if our chosen path still works for us. It’s a time of contemplation and soul searching.

Venus will be resurrecting herself on Thursday as the Morning Star. She goes through her retrograde cycle every 1.6 years, and this week she is reemerging as a glorious, new queen. A few weeks ago she turned retrograde, descended in the twilight as the evening star, became purified in the fires of the Sun, traveled through the underworld, and now rises as a new morning star. It’s a beautiful cycle of rebirth, and it has been mirrored in our society by the emergence of a new civil rights movement.

Monday, June 22nd: Moon in Cancer, Neptune Retrograde in Pisces. The lovely new moon in Cancer continues today and reaches greater strength. People might be sensitive right now, so be kind and gentle towards others. Intuitive, creative work and music are highlighted today.

Tuesday, June 23rd: Moon in Leo. Let the child in you come out and play! You can receive concessions from authority today, or you may find yourself leading others. Great day to let yourself stand out and shine!

Wednesday, June 24th: Moon void-of-course in Leo ALL DAY, Venus Direct at 11:48pm. Day of continuity from yesterday’s developments. A void Moon always means to lay low and follow well-laid plans. Stay away from risks or negotiation, instead stabilize what’s in progress.

Thursday, June 25th: Moon in Virgo. Our focus turns towards health, habits and being of service to others. Spend the day getting organized; detailed work is easy now. As for Venus, she begins her ascent back from the underworld today, which is often the hardest part of the journey. Be gentle with yourself today.

Friday, June 26th: Moon in Virgo. Organize the house, have a work out and a salad.

Saturday, June 27th: Moon in Libra, Mars into Aries. We will be full of energy and ambition today, but with the moon in Libra everything will be a team effort. Partnerships are highlighted.

CURRENTLY:
Sun at 4 Gemini
Mercury at 23 Gemini (rulership! Do Mercurial Magick now)
Venus RETROGRADE at 18 Gemini (neutral)
Mars at 7 Pisces (not great)
Jupiter RETROGRADE at 27 Capricorn (fall, very weak)
Saturn RETROGRADE at 1 Aquarius (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 24 Capricorn
Neptune at 20 Pisces (rulership, strong) update your dream.
North Node at 29 Gemini

The Sun is now in Gemini (The Twins), along with most of the inner planets AND the North Node (destiny). Gemini = ADAPTABILITY. How are you adapting to our new paradigm? Try a different point of view. We are focused like a laser on this area of our charts. If you want a personal reading on how this effects you over the next month, you can book a reading with me here.

The last month has been INTENSE with the Taurus/Scorpio axis in play. Lots of folks being stubborn and territorial. The mood will be lighter through June, however Gemini brings a strong desire to socialize, and you can see it with the country opening back up. Unfortunately, the background of the skies (and our society) is still ruled by Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter in Capricorn, which spawned the pandemic. This year is a time of major transformation and rebirth in our lives and culture. Continue to practice mindfulness, and remember, behind every polarity (Gemini) there is unity and the One. We are all ONE (Neptune).

Monday, May 25th: Moon in Cancer. It’s good to be a homebody today, although you might be tired of it 🙂 Do things to nurture yourself so you have a strong foundation for the week ahead.

Tuesday, May 26th: Moon in Cancer. People can be sensitive during this time, so try and be gentle with others. We get a glimpse of the future as Mercury passes over the North Node in Gemini.

Wednesday, May 27th: Moon in Leo. Roar like a lion. Today everyone wants a attention, so give some to yourself. Excellent creative day for music or art. Seek concessions from authority.

Thursday, May 28th: Moon void of course in Leo, and Mercury into Cancer. Our focus on sociability will shift back to the security of home. No big decisions today. Just follow your heart and continue your creative projects. Do not enter into negotiations and try not to sign anything.

Friday, May 29th: Moon in Virgo. Work on the house and organize your life. I often find myself doing that when the Moon is in Virgo without knowing it! Deep cleaning.

Saturday, May 30th: Moon in Virgo. Organize more and get the chores done. Make a healthy meal. Anything requiring attention to detail is highlighted.

Week of May 17th

Grand Schema Monks, Russian Orthodox Church, Balaam Monastery, Russisan Karelia 1888

CURRENTLY:
Sun at 27 Taurus
Mercury at 11 Gemini (rulership! Do Mercurial Magick now)
Venus RETROGRADE at 21 Gemini (neutral)
Mars at 3 Pisces (not great)
Jupiter RETROGRADE at 27 Capricorn (fall, very weak)
Saturn RETROGRADE at 1 Aquarius (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 24 Capricorn
Neptune at 20 Pisces (rulership, strong)
North Node at 29 Gemini

The Sun moves into Gemini (The Twins) this Wednesday in the early morning! Expect many more Zoom calls and online classes from people, since Gemini is the sign of communication and socializing. Mercury is fast in the skies right now, leading the Sun through it’s natural home of Gemini. We’re entering a phase of focusing the Mind and understanding what our thinking brings to our lives. Become present and mindful of your thoughts, because that is how you are creating your life experience. It’s hard to remain positive these days in the midst of so much challenge, but practicing mindfulness and being present can really help. Are you getting eight solid hours of sleep every night? Eating well and exercising? Reaching out to friends?

Many powerful planets are stationing (standing still), and moving into backwards motion (retrograde) right now. Two of them, Pluto and Saturn, spawned the pandemic, with their rare conjunction at 24 Capricorn in January. With these retrogrades, we will spend the summer going over ground we’ve already covered. On a personal level, this means going inwards to rediscover your true nature and purpose. Unfortunately, the economy might still be sluggish, so prepare for that possibility. For the next few months it’s about each of us reimagining and restructuring our lives. It’s good to focus on researching new possibilities for yourself right now.

Monday, May 18th: Moon in Aries. Starting the week off with lots of force and energy. Look out for head strong behavior. Don’t start something you can’t finish.

Tuesday, May 19th: Moon in Aries slowing down and entering Taurus at 7:10pm Pacific.

Wednesday, May 20th: Moon in Taurus. Sun enters Gemini in the early morning! We might all feel lighter now. It’s easy to get into the minutiae of things today, so aim for simplicity in your dealings with others. Negotiations, writing, mathematics, computer work are all highlighted today and this week! We learn from others. Share with your social circle and engage in fun activities. Great for online games too.

Thursday, May 21st: Moon in Taurus. Walk in nature, work in the garden and cook something scrumptious. Beware of overspending with online shopping.

Friday, May 22nd: New Moon in Gemini at 10:38am Pacific. This New Moon is exactly trine with Saturn in Aquarius, which accentuates the airiness of socializing and communication. However with Saturn things could have a serious note.

Saturday, May 23rd: Moon in Gemini. New Moon energy still prevalent. Socialize as best you can and let your ideas and creativity flow! Mercury conjuncts Venus which is a lovely aspect for meaningful conversations.

Full Moon in Taurus

glastonbury

Glastonbury Tor, England Sept. 27, 2015

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018  – Sun enters Scorpio at 4:22am Pacific.
Wednesday, Oct. 24 – Moon enters Taurus at 7:33am, Full Moon at 9:45am.

This could be a tense day, so keep a low profile. Taurus is a fruitful, productive, loving sign, but can be cautious and stubborn. And now, Taurus’s ruler Venus, is currently walking backwards (retrograding) through Scorpio. Venus is VERY uncomfortable in this sign because people stop playing nice and start getting “real”. Scorpio values authenticity, not manners or etiquette, and this throws Venus out of her element. Also, Venus in Scorpio causes the ghosts of past lovers to rise up in our lives, which can be stressful and confusing.

There are many influences on this Full Moon. We have the Moon passing over Uranus in Taurus, and landing nearby. This brings a big shake up to the tense undercurrent. Uranus clears away agreements that have become stagnant, and creates huge opportunities for the start of a new phase.

Scorpio is regeneration – the snake shedding it’s skin.
Taurus is devotion
Uranus is change

On the other side of the sky, the Sun and Venus are sitting together in Scorpio; connecting our passion with our vision. The Sun, our soul, is confronting an issue in our lives that has held us back. It could be a limiting idea within us, a feeling of burn out with our work, or a friendship we’ve outgrown.

We are being asked to be brave, show courage, and accept that we have evolved to a new point in our lives. We cannot go backwards anymore, we must step into a new, unknown world and trust a universal plan. Scorpio asks that our “outsides” match our “insides”, and we live our lives in a new authenticity that reflects our inner resolve and maturity.

Venus Retrograde

chei

“The Guardian”, by Chie Yoshii.

Venus Retrograde:
October 5th at 12:04pm Pacific. 10° Scorpio. Venus has a regular cycle, and always retrogrades  for 40 days.

Women in general will be effected; becoming more empowered and less tolerant of unauthentic behavior. Scorpio symbolizes the dark goddess, who appears in the Fall to face her fears. She seeks integrity and confronts injustice. This is SO visible in the US right now, with the wave of women coming forward and speaking up with their personal stories of sexual abuse.

Scorpio wants the TRUTH, and has no fear of speaking it. Scorpio is also the sign of passion, commitment, transformation, sex and death. Where Scorpio appears in our charts is where we go deep… where our passion lives.

Venus, as a planet, goddess and ideal, is much much lighter than this, so she is uncomfortable in Scorpio. She wants harmony, tea parties and courtly love. In Scorpio she travels to the underground of our personal psychologies. She has no choice but to face her fears, and embrace the reality that her love is based on. Expect fantasies to vanish, and to know the truth. If a relationship isn’t resting on a solid foundation, it might not survive the retrograde. If you are in denial or in a power struggle with your partner, it will become obvious during this time. Since Scorpio is ruled by Mars (a male sign), you will have new courage to speak your truth. The possibility for deep understanding and healing is also present.

Venus retrograde also brings old flames back into our lives. Scorpio is the sign of the dead, and the ghosts of our pasts can resurrect themselves. We might need to redo creative projects in the areas of romance, art, beauty, and music. This isn’t the time to start any new relationships, and it’s good to watch out for obsession. In Scorpio, Venus craves intimacy, but only in situations based on trust.

Venus will go direct (forward) on November 15th at 25° Libra.

from Austin Coppock:

“In addition Venus will oppose Uranus three times. Not only is the opposition a stronger aspect than the square, but Uranus is currently in a Venus-ruled sign (Taurus), and thus is much more responsive to her movements and condition.
Uranus-Venus combinations disrupt relationship structures and social relations. The two provide exactly the right spark to catalyze break ups and divorces. Even for those unions which are stronger, Uranus’ disruptive, innovative, rebellious power pushes relational rearrangements. Break ups and renegotiations are something we would expect from any Venus retrograde, but Uranus doubles down on these significations.
On the positive side, Venus and Uranus fuel artistic innovation and aesthetic experimentation, facilitate greater freedom of feeling and emotional expression. Venus will also help push through the disruptions and innovations which Uranus has planned in Taurus.”
