Week of April 20th: New Moon in Taurus

New Moon at
3 degrees Taurus ❤
This Wednesday at
7:26pm Pacific

CURRENTLY:
Sun at 0 Taurus
Mercury at 14 Aries
Venus at 13 Gemini
Mars at 14 Aquarius
Jupiter at 26 Capricorn
Saturn at 1 Aquarius
Pluto at 24 Capricorn
Neptune at 19 Pisces

The Sun moved into Taurus Sunday morning at 7:45am Pacific. This can bring a feeling of being more comfortable in our homes – especially during this Saturnian lockdown. Taurus connects us to nature; bringing grounding, family and stability. We work in our gardens, cook sumptuous meals, and find comfort in the pleasures of life. However, the Sun and Moon near Uranus (sudden change) on Wednesday will underline the massive changes currently happening on Earth.

This is a good week to slow WAY down and send some love to the planet. Uranus near the Sun turns our thoughts to the future and what we would like to create. It could also bring more news on unemployment, and crazy volatility to the stock market. Set some intentions for your house, health, family and finances.

We still have Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter traveling together through late Capricorn and early Aquarius. This will be happening all year, and it’s the astrological impetus for the pandemic. I believe the pandemic will continue throughout this year, and come back strongly in the Fall. Pluto and Saturn conjunct (Jan. 12th, 2020) is a rare event, and spawned the 1918 flu as well as the discovery of HIV. For us, this event has led to the spread of a dangerous virus, which has caused a global economic slowdown and staggering job losses (Pluto and Saturn conjunct in Capricorn – the sign of big business).

We’re about to enter a new phase of it however. There’s a heaviness to this week as Pluto grinds to a halt and stations retrograde on Saturday. Pluto rules toxic catharsis, repressed energy, evolution, purging, healing, creation, destruction, and deep truth. It moves us to regenerate into a new persona – the growth that our life path demands. When you see a change before you that can’t be denied, that you simply MUST take, that’s usually Pluto. It’s an ego death. When Pluto stations (stands still) in the skies, it’s energy is amplified – and that’s this weekend.

It’s best to take the bull by the horns and be proactive, rather than to be at the mercy of Pluto. Take a sober look at your life, where you feel powerless, and make changes as best you can with your reaction. It’s a really hard, grinding energy, but Pluto is just giving you some tough love; it wants you to be a more authentic version of yourself on a VERY deep level.

Monday, April 20th – Moon in Aries. You might want to leap forward and be spontaneous today, but it’s best to be cautious and give things some time. The Sun (Taurus) squares Saturn (in Aquarius) today causing chafing against boundaries. Incorporate responsibility, learning and patience before taking action. Do some boundaries need to be established?

Tuesday, April 21st – Moon in Aries. Sun square Saturn still in effect. We are in the deepest, darkest parts of the Moon cycle now, preparing for rebirth with the New Moon tomorrow. Try not to work too much today – instead be in solitude.

Wednesday, April 22nd – Moon in Taurus. New Moon in Taurus at 7:26pm Pacific. It’s also Earth Day! Kind of perfect. Take a walk in the park. A new 28 day cycle is beginning today so start things now. Moon square Saturn today asks us to emotionally process the boundaries we set on Monday.

Thursday, April 23rd – Moon in Taurus. New Moon energy unfolds.

Friday, April 24th – Moon in Taurus. Day of love, connection and art. Be with the ones you love either virtually or in person. Do something creative.

Saturday, April 25th – Moon in Gemini. Mercury (in Aries) squares Pluto (in Capricorn) at 9:36am. We HAVE to speak our truth today, but PLEASE be gentle about it. No anger or raised voices today, just truth and love. Pluto goes retrograde at 11:54am. There is a theme of death and rebirth this weekend. How would you like to make this pandemic a turning point in your life? How will you manifest a positive path for yourself that respects the most meaningful parts of you?

Sunday, April 26th – Sun conjunct Uranus is exact. Along with the Pluto station, this aspect brings an inescapable drive for freedom, independence and to do something different. This is a great thing, just be aware of other people’s feelings.

Week of June 3rd

kingf

New Moon in Gemini, Monday June 3rd.
Mercury into Cancer (weakened).
Mars at 11 Cancer (in it’s fall; no Mars Magick).
Venus at 25 Taurus (rulership; VERY strong).
Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto retrograde.

Face the Shadow. We’re still excavating our lives with the Saturn-conjunct-Pluto-both-retrograde aspect. It will be closely exact THIS month, and will continue to wind it’s way through the year ahead. Wherever this is landing in your chart, you are being profoundly shifted. Saturn is forcing you to face the reality of your life, and Pluto is bringing up our toxic energy on a personal and collective level. Pluto is forcing us to purge, purify and reform ourselves. Resisting these shifts will create big problems, so just relax and go with the flow. Pay attention to stuff that isn’t working for you anymore and if you can, make changes.

Monday: New Moon in Gemini at 3am Pacific. Makes our minds and communication zingy. Great day for negotiation, socializing, studying, playing games, birthing new ideas and using your mind in a new way. Venus in a trine with Pluto last night brings intensity to creative endeavors and sexy time.

Tuesday: Moon in Cancer. Mercury into Cancer at 1:03pm Pacific. Mercury isn’t happy in Cancer, so no Mercury Magick for awhile… unless you’re sidereal of course. Mercury wants to be zippy, but gets drenched in this highly sensitive, nurturing watery energy of Cancer. Creative thinking is enhanced however.

Wednesday: Moon in Cancer. Handle things around your home and personal life. You might want to stay home tonight, relax and eat comfort food. Feelings are hyper-sensitive today and tomorrow, so avoid arguments or complications.

Thursday: Moon in Leo. It’s a good day to seek acknowledgement and generosity from those in leadership positions. It’s a good night to go out and see any type live performance.

Friday: Moon in Leo. Go out and shine, and show your heart.

Saturday: Moon into Virgo. A day of organization and self care. Also, Venus enters Gemini near 6:30pm Pacific, bringing fresh delight to any social gatherings. Creative time for writers, thinkers, and artists. Self expression flows easily, and we gravitate towards like-minded people.

Week of November 19th

renoir002

–  “Dance in the country” by Pierre-Auguste Renoir

Nov. 15th: Mars in Pisces.
Nov. 16th: Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius, and Venus Direct in Libra.

Monday, Nov. 19th: Moon in Aries, Sun in Scorpio. There’s potential for headstrong behavior today. If it’s hard to gain traction on a project, focus instead on clarifying your vision. Moon/Sun are in Mars-ruled signs, but Mars itself is in Pisces. Mars doesn’t like slogging around in Pisces. Avoid being passive-aggressive when you don’t get your way. Notice if you’re lost in fantasies, guilt trips, gossiping or grudges, and try to be present with unconscious motivations. The desire to escape your life through drinking, drugs, sugar or shopping is a common theme this week.

Tuesday, Nov. 20th: Moon into Taurus at 3:43pm Pacific, Sun in Scorpio. Moon in Taurus (exalted) helps everybody calm down. Enjoy nature and sensual delights today, but avoid intensity in relationships.

Wednesday, Nov. 21st: Moon in Taurus, Sun in Scorpio. Another nature/food day! Excellent date night, or to do anything creative and artistic. Mars and Jupiter will both be amplifying the Full Moon in Gemini tomorrow, but you can feel it now.

Thursday, Nov. 22nd: Moon void all day in Taurus (8:10pm into Gemini).
FULL MOON at 9:39pm. Sun into Sagittarius. THANKSGIVING.
With the Full Moon today and Neptune stationing Direct Saturday, try not to drink too much. Watch a movie or play board games to cool down family tensions. Also, follow traditions today – don’t do anything risky or spontaneous.

Friday, Nov. 23rd: Full Moon in Gemini, Sun in Sagittarius. Should be a chatty and sociable day.

Saturday, Nov. 24th: Moon in Gemini; Neptune Direct in Pisces 5:08pm. When Neptune is stationing Direct, things are not what they appear to be. Try to keep your feet on the ground today. Huge spiritual breakthroughs and revelations are possible.

The thing to remember with Mercury Retrograde is to slow down a little bit. It’s never a good idea to lie or be covert in your actions, but it’s really something to avoid right now.  Don’t conceal anything.

Early/middle November is a powerful time. When the Sun is in Scorpio we are in the Underworld, the spirit world is close and the invisibles are active. The Scorpio Sun is sacred to the dark goddess Hecate, who stands at the crossroads with her torches, scissors and three black hounds; she helps you release your old life. She is the Goddess of Witchcraft, Night, Magick, Dogs and herbalism. She protects people on the fringes – those who rebel against societies norms and follow their own drum beat. She will help you see the truth, which can be jarring but liberating. She is known as Phosphorus, the Torch Bearer and Venus as the Morning Star. Inner seeing is key. Your inner navigation system is more accurate than what’s on the screen.

Full Moon in Taurus

glastonbury

Glastonbury Tor, England Sept. 27, 2015

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018  – Sun enters Scorpio at 4:22am Pacific.
Wednesday, Oct. 24 – Moon enters Taurus at 7:33am, Full Moon at 9:45am.

This could be a tense day, so keep a low profile. Taurus is a fruitful, productive, loving sign, but can be cautious and stubborn. And now, Taurus’s ruler Venus, is currently walking backwards (retrograding) through Scorpio. Venus is VERY uncomfortable in this sign because people stop playing nice and start getting “real”. Scorpio values authenticity, not manners or etiquette, and this throws Venus out of her element. Also, Venus in Scorpio causes the ghosts of past lovers to rise up in our lives, which can be stressful and confusing.

There are many influences on this Full Moon. We have the Moon passing over Uranus in Taurus, and landing nearby. This brings a big shake up to the tense undercurrent. Uranus clears away agreements that have become stagnant, and creates huge opportunities for the start of a new phase.

Scorpio is regeneration – the snake shedding it’s skin.
Taurus is devotion
Uranus is change

On the other side of the sky, the Sun and Venus are sitting together in Scorpio; connecting our passion with our vision. The Sun, our soul, is confronting an issue in our lives that has held us back. It could be a limiting idea within us, a feeling of burn out with our work, or a friendship we’ve outgrown.

We are being asked to be brave, show courage, and accept that we have evolved to a new point in our lives. We cannot go backwards anymore, we must step into a new, unknown world and trust a universal plan. Scorpio asks that our “outsides” match our “insides”, and we live our lives in a new authenticity that reflects our inner resolve and maturity.
