This Moon brings peak experiences with exploration, physicality, courage, and our personal story. Aries is a fiery sign, and indicates new clarity and energy. Since this Full Moon takes place in the area of the sky known as Bharani, regeneration is highlighted. It’s a time of accepting endings, and nurturing new beginnings.

Today is also Kartik Purnima, one of the most sacred full moon days in the Hindu calendar, it symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness. It is the “Diwali of the Gods”, marking the day when gods are believed to descend on earth to celebrate Diwali on the banks of the Ganga. Burn some candles today.

There’s also a meteor shower tonight, bringing more light to the sky. It’s an opportunity to bring more light into our lives. Several planets are in extaordinarily positive positions right now, we can make real progress on things that are important to us.

We begin this week with a New Moon at 4° Libra, AND the auspicious Diwali festival of light! This New Moon is important on a spiritual level because it comes with Diwali, which symbolizes light overcoming darkness, and knowledge overcoming ignorance. It is a huge festival celebrated over several days, and is associated with Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, and Ganesha, the god of wisdom and the remover of obstacles.

This New Moon brings hope, and has a spark of divine light. It occurs near the star Chitra, which is the star of opportunity. It brings the power of Vishwakarma – the deity of innovative designs and crafting. Also, Jupiter, the planet of luck and wisdom, has just entered Cancer! This is a high placement, and Jupiter is exalted, giving his wisdom and light in the most nourishing ways! It happens only once every 12 years too, so this is a great transit.

Give yourself time to reflect on how you’d like the upcoming Moon cycle to go. If you’d like a personal reading on how this Libra cycle will affect you, book a reading with me here.

Oct. 21 could be a good night to see a comet

Hecate

Hekate, Keeper of the Keys 🗝✨🗝✨🗝

Hecate: Triple-Bodied Greek Goddess of Witchcraft and Keeper of Keys

Hecate the goddess of Greek mythology has been primarily remembered for her associations with magic and witchcraft. Throughout history however, her sphere of influence also included the moon, night, crossroads, boundaries, ghosts and necromancy. Although Hecate was once considered to be a powerful Greek goddess of witchcraft, Hecate was not a major deity when compared, for instance, to the Twelve Olympians.

There are therefore few myths which revolve around this Greek goddess of magic. Nevertheless, the goddess Hecate plays a particularly important role in the Greek myth which relates the abduction of Persephone. It is also from this myth that the quintessential representation of Hecate, as a goddess holding a flaming torch in each hand, is derived.

The Powers of Hecate, the Greek Goddess of Witchcraft

It is generally believed that the goddess Hecate was the daughter of Perses and Asteria, both of whom were from the second generation of Titans. Nevertheless, some have claimed that she was the daughter of Zeus and either Hera or Pheraea. Yet others have stated that she was a daughter either of Leto or of Tartarus.

In any case, it is widely accepted that Hecate the goddess was not originally a member of the Greek pantheon. In fact, her cult is said to have originated in ancient Thrace, or perhaps in Caria, Anatolia. The original worshippers of Hecate believed that the goddess had power over heaven, earth, and the seas, thus making her an incredibly powerful goddess.

Hecate, whose name came from the Greek word hekatos meaning “worker from afar,” had the power not only to bestow upon those she favored wealth, good fortune, and wisdom, but also to withhold these gifts from those she perceived as unworthy. She was honored by all the gods, including Zeus. As she sided with the Olympians during the Titanomachy, she was the only member of the old regime who retained her powers following the defeat of the Titans.

Within ancient Greek religion Hecate had many different roles, as goddess not just of witchcraft, but also of magic, spells, the night, ghosts, light, necromancy, and even the moon. She was also seen as a goddess of oikos, meaning the household and family, and doorways. Some have even connected her to Artemis, who was portrayed in a similar style, with boots, torches and dogs.

Due to her extensive powers, Hecate has been confused and identified with several other deities throughout history. For instance, as a goddess of nature, she was identified with Demeter, whilst as a moon goddess, she has been identified with Persephone.

Full Moon today at 19 Pisces! Try to get outside and into the light of this full moon, because it brings blessings of the wealth goddess Lakshmi. This full moon rains down the “nectar of immortality” that rejuvenates, heals, and gives promise for the future. Set an intention for revisualizing your life. The choices that you’re making this week are BLESSED. This is a great night to charge water, sweet milk or gemstones in the light of the Moon.

Saturn is close to this full moon – you might even see it dimly nearby. There’s something about understanding the structure and limitations of what we are facing, and of the new path we are embarking on. Also, Venus is very close to Ketu (the South Node of the Moon), which activates patterns in relationships. We can see our patterns clearly now and take steps to shift them if needed.

Ready for a change? This is a time of letting go after our recent series of eclipses. Tonight’s full moon brings in the energy of renewal and recalibration towards a new vision. There is a new plan going forward, and we can embrace it. We just passed the Autumn Equinox which is equal day and equal night. This is a time of balance as we pass through the portal between Summer and the darker months. We are inspired to clean up our lives and get everything in order. Pisces is a water sign, and symbolizes the collective unconscious, tidal waves, chaos, the ocean, intuition, surrender, and connection with the divine.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the winged messenger of thought and communication. With the Sun and Mercury in Virgo, our minds are at their peak and we can be decisive. The decisions you make now, determine your future path.

Sun in Virgo means to discern, analyze, discriminate and assimilate. We need to take care of ourselves and each other. Virgo is a sign of health, work, and being of service. We are preparing to focus on ‘relationships’ when the Sun goes into Libra soon. How we enter the world needs to be thought out, planned and disciplined in Virgo.

Eclipse in Aquarius

On 7 September, Ukrainians witnessed a rare ‘blood moon’ — a lunar eclipse that turned the moon from silver to a deep shade of red.

🌕

CURRENTLY:
Sun at 21 Leo
Mercury DIRECT at 15 Leo
Venus at 21 Cancer
Mars at 25 Virgo
Jupiter at 24 Gemini
Saturn RETROGRADE at 4 Pisces
Uranus RETROGRADE at 6 Taurus
Neptune RETROGRADE 6 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 6 Capricorn
North Node at 23 Aquarius

On Sunday we had a Full Moon Eclipse in Aquarius. Moon conjunct Rahu (North Node). You had to be in Asia, Australia, or Africa to see it ❤ The energies of this eclipse are unfolding for ALL of us this week. What are your commitments to friends, groups or projects? Your plans for the future? Perhaps getting out and protesting for important causes? These are general themes this eclipse season is kicking up for us.

This Full Moon is a portal that all of us pass through. Because it’s in the sign of Aquarius, in the nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada, it is VERY fiery. It symbolizes a funeral pyre – the fire that separates the soul from the body. There is a strong emphasis on spiritual awakening leading to a powerful rebirth. It brings breakthroughs, courageous life changes and transformation; prompting individuals to break from conventional paths. Eclipses bring a stronger momentum to liberate oneself from old patterns. Eclipses are the power of shadow overtaking light.

This is a powerful time for setting intentions of transformation and liberation from the past. The axis of Rahu (future) and Ketu (past) is now lined up in Aquarius and Leo, which enhances social movements. It’s great for activism, but there’s also a risk of obsessiveness. Who we are as a collective, and how we are governed, is going through massive shifts.

Normally I would say “Sun’s in Leo! Do Sun Magick!” BUT NOT THIS YEAR. Ketu, the South Node of the Moon, is transiting the sign of Leo until Dec. 2026, which strangely enough, diminishes the power of kings. It’s a strange time for Leos, or anyone with Leo rising. The combination of Ketu’s detached, introspective energy with Leo’s vibrant but ego-driven nature encourages spiritual growth and the pursuit of a deeper, more intrinsic understanding of self. It’s not a time to be flashy, but to lead with compassion.

Also, if you have any planets around 6° or any sign, they are getting strongly activated right now. Put your energy towards wrapping up past projects that have been bugging you for awhile. Nurture yourself with good food and rest.

Full Moon at 22° Capricorn at 1:00am PDT August 9
There’s a lot of potential and opportunity out there, but a lot of conflicting energies too. You feel pulled in many different directions. There’s possibilities for witnessing, listening, and hearing instruction from our higher selves. Illusions are destroyed. Watch and listen.

Sturgeon Moon: sturgeon were once abundant in North American lakes at this time of year. Full Moon rises at 22 Capricorn. She is in her detriment in Capricorn, which celebrates “getting ahead” more than being vulnerable. People become cautious and it’s hard to get concessions from authority figures. The energies of this Full Moon will unfold over the week ahead giving us peak experiences with our ambitions, career, and personal story.

We have a six planet alignment just after sunset tonight with Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, and Saturn — all bright and easily visible to the naked eye — and Uranus and Neptune, which can be seen with the aid of binoculars. Many falling stars this weekend with the Perseid meteors streaking across the sky.

July 2025 astrology

Current SIDEREAL placements. Sidereal is different than traditional tropical astrology, because it’s based on where the planets actually ARE in the constellations:

Sun at 0 Cancer
Mercury at 20 Cancer
Venus at 18 Taurus (in her rulership, good for Venus Magick)
Mars at 21 Leo
Jupiter at 13 Gemini (in detriment, no Jupiter Magick now)
Saturn RETROGRADE at 7 Pisces
Uranus at 6 Taurus
Neptune RETROGRADE 7 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 8 Capricorn
North Node at 25 Aquarius

The vedic astrological signatures for July are interesting, so much so I have to share what I’ve discovered! Let me know in the comments if you’ve found any of this happening in your life. The New Moon in Cancer will be Thursday, July 24th.

The strongest energy this month is occuring in the sign of Leo. Since everyone has Leo in their chart somewhere, it’s affecting you. In Jyotish, or Vedic astrology, both Mars and Ketu are sharp, fiery signs. They BOTH rule knives, needles… anything pointy. What does this mean? Everything associated with Leo right now is sharp as hell: creative projects, ideas, art, and performances will be amazing to watch since musicians and artists are sharply focused, unified, and on point.

However, the actions of Leo actually manifest in the sign of Libra, so this is a tough time for partnerships (Libra). There is sharp energy aimed Libra, which can cause fights and break ups in any type of partnership. Careful what you say to your partner right now. This energy will keep building until the conjunction of Rahu and Mars on July 20th. If you want to know how this specifically affects your chart, schedule a reading with me here.

Saturn and Neptune are stationing retrograde right now in a conjunction at 7 Pisces. This is a water sign, AND these two planets stationing (standing still) together are affecting the water element, as you’ve seen with the destructive floods lately. Right now it’s hard to find the edge between truth and reality, and many people are feeling lost. On top of that, Mercury is going retrograde in Cancer next week, further disturbing the water element. I you want a quick reading on how Saturn in Pisces will affect you over the next two years, and what you can do about it, book a reading with me here.

Be gentle with yourself and others ❤

Gratitude

“Create the habit of gratitude in your life and watch your life transform.”  Gratitude and staying in a grateful state of energy, is probably one of the most popular topics when it comes to well-being, would you say?  Yet, thousands have come to me feeling quite the opposite.  Many are in a state of worry and stress.  I’ve heard some say, “How can I be grateful and happy when I have a sick family member, or have no idea if I’m going to make the rent, or be able to keep my job, or whether or not my relationship is going to fall apart?”  At one point or another in our lives, many can relate to these concerns.  I know I sure can having experienced several layoffs, and having been the caregiver when my precious mother had a terminal illness.  But practicing the habit of gratitude helps keep our mental state more positive, and this kind of energy, in turn, helps us handle these difficult situations.

What makes it easier to be grateful is to associate this state of being with trust and peace.  Consider that when we focus heavily on what we’re grateful for, it becomes a great reminder.  A reminder that what we’re often grateful for, are things we prayed for that were granted.  Perhaps pause for a moment before continuing to read further.  Think of two things or experiences you’ve prayed for and received.  The more we think of things to be grateful for, the more the level of trust and faith within our heart increases for the next areas of concern.  And peace enfolds us where we start to have a knowing that whatever we’re presented with in our lives, will serve a Higher purpose, and will come with all that is needed to handle it.  Staying in a state of gratitude also helps us to actually enjoy and celebrate any good that happens to us, no matter how small it may be.

One of the keys to staying in a state of gratitude and decreasing worry, is to let go of the tight mental hold of how you want things to turn out.  Where you set your intention, or as I call it, “place your order with the Universe”, then trust and let go of when and how you want things to turn out.  This allows the Universe to orchestrate and serve us what is needed for all involved, and His peace is included.  Trust is the main factor here.  When we trust the Source we’re sending our order to, it enables peace to set in.  When we trust and feel peace, patience follows.  Hence, that tight hold to the outcome is released.  A good quick prayer for assistance can be, “God (Infinite Source- or whatever your loving Higher power is), please help me to feel your love, peace, patience, trust and comfort in my heart, please and thank you.”  As you feel that releasing breath, allow yourself to think of a couple things you’re grateful for.  Eventually this becomes habit.  And so does the feeling of peace.  And isn’t feeling peaceful one of the main goals?

What has greatly helped so many, as well as myself reap the benefits of gratitude energy, is to write in a gratitude journal.  Keeping it simple seems to make writing in it consistently much easier.  I have a very tiny inexpensive notebook.  For each day I include the date, and title it, “I am beyond grateful for:”, and I number each statement.  I carry over the numbers, and I’m up to 1443 gratitude entries since last August.  I write in it when I wake up, and before I go to sleep.  Some days, I write just two things.  There are no rules.

When you allow yourself to stay in a state of gratitude on a daily basis, you’ll start finding it easier to forgive and release past hurts and wrongs, as well as feel love in your heart for the smallest of things.  Acknowledging what we’re grateful for causes us to get in the habit of thinking more constructively even in the most challenging situations.  This in turn keeps our energy lighter to effectively handle them.  And last but not least, practicing gratitude daily, manifests more reasons to be grateful.  Consider adding daily gratitude to your life, and enjoy the positive transformation that comes with it. ♥

New Moon in Gemini

Current SIDEREAL placements. Sidereal is different than traditional tropical astrology because it’s based on where the planets actually ARE in the constellations:

Sun at 9 Gemini
Mercury at 3 Cancer
Venus at 25 Aries (in her detriment, no Venus Magick now)
Mars at 10 Leo
Jupiter at 9 Gemini (in detriment, no Jupiter Magick now)
Saturn at 7 Pisces
Uranus at 5 Taurus
Neptune 7 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto at 9 Capricorn
North Node at 27 Aquarius

Today! New Moon at 9° Gemini (sidereal), at 3:32am Pacific.
Moon, Sun and Jupiter all conjunct at 9 Gemini, which boosts the energy of this Moon in positive directions. All of this beautiful energy and rebirth is exactly square Saturn though… so you have to rebuild the structure of your life too.

This Moon breathes new beginnings into our communications, thinking, mindset, and social groups. Gemini is talking and socializing, so get out and have some fun! The focus now is on finding our inner truths, and looking at the big picture of our lives. Maybe you need some time in solitude so you can reflect on what’s working in your life, and what you need to release so you can live in your truth.

Try to avoid snap decisions or risky situations though, since the New Moon is square the planet Saturn. You must plan carefully and take the long view of your life.

If you’ve never had your true chart done using sidereal astrology, you can book a reading with me here.

Full Moon in Scorpio

Current SIDEREAL placements. Sidereal is different than traditional tropical astrology because it’s based on where the planets actually ARE in the constellations:

Sun at 26 Taurus
Mercury at 8 Gemini (Rulership! Excellent time for Mercury magick)
Venus at 9 Aries
Mars at 2 Leo (great for Mars magick)
Jupiter at 6 Gemini (in its detriment. No Jupiter magick)
Saturn at 6 Pisces
Uranus at 4 Taurus
Neptune at 7 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 9 Capricorn
North Node at 29 Aquarius

Full Moon at 26° Scorpio (sidereal) at 12:43am Pacific, 6/11/25. Its falling near the star Antares – the heart of the Scorpion – which is a sensitive, transformational place. We need to be acknowledged, to correct injustice, and to have our boundaries respected. SCORPIO = regeneration, transformation, anger, rebirth, boundaries, sex, and the occult. Scorpio Moon can bring up issues around power and control.

This full moon has a special energy of reverence; a need to be respected and to have our boundaries guarded and honored. It is in the area of the sky called Jyestha. This nakshatra represents respect, so a big part of this full moon in Scorpio is rising up and overcoming disrespect or oppression. We can see it around us right now with the clashes between the violations of human rights and authoritarianism.

We can see clearly through illusion.

It is important to vibrate high and stay away from toxic people and situations. Absolutely get out and protest, but avoid drastic, extremist attitudes.

Scorpio is ruled by Mars, the warrior god of strength, courage, boundaries, assertiveness, men, justice, and action. Mars JUST entered Leo which is fantastic! There is a new feeling of forward motion and getting things done.

Mars encourages us to look at our goals.

Do you have any goals? Are they in alignment with your true and highest self?

Assess your ambitions, life path and direction. It is a time to think about your actions, and whether they are aligned with the life and world you want to create.

Look at your energy and drive because they are valuable. Is your current job or project worth what you’re spending the time on? Do you need to make a change?

Also Saturn and Neptune are in a conjunction in this watery, nebulous energy of Pisces. Saturn is being challenged now to hold structure in what is completely unknown (Neptune). This relates to AI and how it pushes the edge of reality. Be aware that what you think might be real may not be real at all right now. On an inner level understand that what is true in one way can be completely differently true in another way. It’s rare to have a conjunction between Saturn and Neptune. It gives us the ability to see illusion for what it really is, and that is liberating.

The positive thing about this is that Saturn and Neptune in Pisces is opening spiritual growth for a lot of people. This is a powerful time to really be seeing through the illusions.
