Sun at 8 Cancer Mercury DIRECT at 14 Gemini Venus at 3 Gemini (rulership) Mars at 23 Aries (rulership) Jupiter at 7 Aries Saturn RETROGRADE at 24 Aquarius (rulership) Neptune at 25 Pisces (rulership) Pluto RETROGRADE at 27 Capricorn North Node at 21 Taurus
We begin this week on the cusp of a New Moon at 7 Cancer on Tuesday. The eclipses are behind us, and it’s interesting to notice where our lives and attitudes have changed over the Spring. We have an opportunity to release things that don’t fit into our new, emotional way of being (i.e. Sun in Cancer) right now. The New Moon in Cancer is the sweetest, most sensitive moon of the year, however this one is exactly conjunct Black Moon Lilith, so there’s an edge of assertiveness, power, and demand of equality.
Neptune stations retrograde in the middle of the night on Monday/Tuesday, enhancing the watery, intuitive, fertile nature of the New Moon. Neptune can add confusion, a sense of the surreal, wild dreams, and a desire to escape your life. You have to walk through it, just surrender to any feelings coming up this week. Neptune also rules propaganda and fantasies, so don’t believe everything you see or hear.
The last time Neptune was in this part of the sky was 1865. Think of everything that has happened since then! We had The Civil War, which is scary considering how divided our country is nowadays. Slavery was outlawed, although we still haven’t achieved true equality. Theosophy and Western Hermeticism came into existence. The art world exploded with the groundbreaking talents of Picasso, van Gogh, Monet, Matisse, and Gauguin. We had the birth of psychology with Freud and Jung. Plus the domination of photography, television, cinema, technology and the internet. Fascinating to think what might be ahead of us.
Also this week, Mars in Aries is marching resolutely to his square with Pluto in Capricorn on Friday. This is a tense and volatile aspect that brings aggression and violence. It raises anger, and brings drama, struggles with authority, and ego battles. There’s an urgent need for change. If we’ve been stuck in power struggles with someone, it is plainly obvious this week. This can cause more flare ups between people in our divided world, so be careful out there.
Tuesday, June 28th: Moon in Cancer, New Moon at 7:52pm Pacific. Neptune in Pisces stations retrograde at 1:00am, adding to the watery, creative atmosphere. The tarot card for today is the Ace of Cups; we are emotionally reborn. Visit a pool, lake, river, or ocean. The imagination can be stronger than usual with this new moon. Creativity is heightened, and artists and musicians have breakthroughs. Time to start new projects! With the sensitive Cancer Moon, choose your words wisely. Celebrate your home life, animals, and your “new” chosen family of friends.

We begin this week with a New Moon at 10 Gemini on Monday! Watch for the dawn, and a beautiful sunrise. Every New Moon is a new beginning, and this one brings a change in attitude. The urge to get out and socialize will be strong, but a square with Saturn asks us to keep our boundaries and practice self discipline too. This New Moon is great for activities requiring mental fortitude – studying, analysis, meditation and organization are all highlighted this week. Focus on simplifying your life.
Mercury has stopped still in the skies, preparing to go Direct on Friday, while Saturn has also stopped still, preparing to go retrograde on Saturday. They are also in a square for the next two weeks. At the same time, Retrograde Mercury is trining Pluto, so there’s a serious and transformational vibe. There could be struggles, tests, limitations, and issues with timing, especially around communication. Be thoughtful and speak sincerely.
Pluto will move into Aquarius on March 23, 2023, so this is the last year of Pluto in Capricorn! It will go back into Capricorn until Nov 19, 2024 when it will spend over a decade in Aquarius. My hope is that the themes of Aquarius – humanity, liberation, genius and forward thinking – will make a positive change with the problems in our society.
Monday, May 30th: New Moon at 10 Gemini in the pre dawn hours brings new options into our live. We are drawn to sociability, sharing and TALKING, however Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, is currently retrograde. We are redoing things, renegotiating agreements. The truth could come out today.
Tuesday, May 31st: Moon in Gemini goes void-of-course at 1:10pm Pacific for the rest of the day, so do important stuff in the morning. Moon trines Saturn in the evening which can bring heavy conversations. We have no problem working hard on projects that require mental effort.
Wednesday, June 1st: Moon in Cancer conjuncts Black Moon Lilith, so solitude is favored. Take time out today and focus on nurturing yourself. Your needs come first.
Thursday, June 2nd: Moon in Cancer on a Thursday is auspicious! There are no other aspects, and it’s a quiet day with the lovely Cancerian energy. Home life and domestic activities are the best use of this Moon, and with Mercury and Saturn stationing, organization gets a boost.
Friday, June 3rd: Moon Cancer moves into Leo at 11:38am, and everyone wants the limelight. Give yourself some love. When the Moon moves from Cancer to Leo, egos can be VERY sensitive, so step carefully around people’s feelings today. Mercury goes Direct at 26 Taurus early in the morning, but will take several days to pick up speed. Living in the present, in a mindful way, is the best way forward.
Saturday, June 4th: Moon in Leo opposes Saturn, and emotions might get heavy. Saturn turns stationary retrograde in the middle of the night. Things can appear unstable, but don’t worry just take action on what you have control over. We are going back over ground we’ve already covered, so it’s an opportunity to recheck your foundation and steps.
Sunday, June 5th: Moon in Leo goes void at 4:12pm Pacific, and opposes Saturn in the evening. This can exacerbate the issues of this week. No other aspects. It’s a great evening to see performances, attend parties or art gatherings.
CURRENTLY: Sun at 14 Cancer Mercury DIRECT at 22 Gemini (rulership, very strong) Venus at 9 Leo Mars at 15 Leo (strong) Jupiter RETROGRADE at 1 Pisces Saturn RETROGRADE at 12 Aquarius (rulership) Neptune RETROGRADE at 23 Pisces Pluto RETROGRADE at 25 Capricorn North Node at 10 Gemini

We begin this week with a balsamic, fallow Moon, building towards a New Moon at 18 Cancer on Friday. The eclipses are behind us, and it’s interesting to notice where our lives and attitudes have changed over the last month. Leading up to this New Moon on Friday, we have an opportunity to release things that don’t fit into our new, emotional way of being (i.e. Sun in Cancer).
We just came through some volatile aspects last weekend. There was a fixed T-square: Mars in Leo and Saturn in Aquarius opposing each other, and Uranus in Taurus in the middle squaring both. It brought anger, struggles with authority, ego deflation, sudden surprises and urgent need for change. These influences will be with us for several more days. If we’ve been stuck in power struggles with someone, it is plainly obvious this week.
You can use this energy by giving positive attention to sexuality and ambition. Uranus, forming the square, wants you to focus on the future. How can you make your path easier? Where can you integrate new technology into your life to better support and grow your aspirations?
Underneath everything, we have the retrogrades of Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto. That’s a lot of backwards motion. Perhaps you feel no progress is being made these days. If you feel stuck, lost in life, that you’ve been backsliding, things aren’t moving fast enough, or just irrational fears, it could all be exacerbated by these retrogrades. Saturn and Pluto can bring up helplessness, karma, issues with time, sacrifice and depletion; but their retrogrades bring long term stability. You just have to stay in the present and go with the flow.
Monday, July 5th: Moon void-of-course in Taurus at 10am Pacific, then into Gemini at 6:24pm. It’s an unstable way to start the week. Anything can come up during a void moon, and this is a longish one. Focus on matters at hand. Sun sextile Uranus is exact and brings yearning for freedom, independence and new perspective. Let yourself be wild and free. Moon square Jupiter in the evening could bring some tensions between our mind and spirit.
Tuesday, July 6th: Moon in Gemini trines Saturn today, bringing a serious tone to communications. Mercury squares Neptune in the middle of the night, so try and remember your dreams. When we wake up, this square brings confusion to decisions and communications, so be patient, ask questions, listen, and be know everyone else is in the same boat. Capturing your imagination in your work may produce wonderful results. Also Tuesday, Venus opposition Saturn occurs at 7:36pm Pacific, and can bring a chill to relationships, or a need for personal time. Learn more about your craft; study and practice can bring beautiful results. Perhaps a mentor might teach you something wonderful. But it’s easy to give in to pessimism with this aspect, and miss the potential. Some may feel lonely or dubious about relationships, but it’s wise to avoid big decisions until the weather is more favorable.
Wednesday, July 7th: Moon in Gemini sextiles Mars and squares Neptune in the evening, bringing up echoes from yesterday. The Moon conjuncts the North Node today, so watch for flashes of the future. The Moon is in it’s balsamic phase, preparing for the New Moon coming Friday… Venus trine Chiron today brings lovely opportunities for healing to relationships, or healing through women and art.
Thursday, July 8th: Moon in Cancer makes a whole slew of aspects. Planetary energies are unified in a supportive way for tomorrow’s New Moon. Venus square Uranus is exact today, meaning sudden, unexpected events can impact relationships. It can be a positive or negative influence, just whatever is needed for growth. After so much restriction the urge for adventure, luxury, exciting pleasures, can be strong.
Friday, July 9th: New Moon in Cancer at 6:17pm Pacific. Moon in Cancer tends to emphasize home life and family, so enjoy those who move with you through life, including your pets. Also, this is a great date night, just don’t overshare.
Saturday, July 10th: Moon is void-of-course in Cancer all day, until entering Leo at 5:21pm. Walk carefully around people’s feelings. A void Moon in Cancer can be emotionally tricky, so practice restraint. This is a day of healing, rest, reflection and food. Also today, Venus squares Chiron in Aries, which can give creative people firey inspiration.
Sunday, July 11th: Moon in Leo opposes Saturn and squares Uranus, so we are emotionally integrating the events of last week. Also, Mercury enters uncertain, insecure and emotional Cancer for the next three weeks, bringing the need for understanding and meaning to our conversations. The Messenger doesn’t like being bogged down in emotions, so use Mercury in Cancer to access the power of imagination.
*When sperm whales need a nap, they take a deep breath, dive down about 45 feet and arrange themselves into perfectly-level, vertical patterns. They sleep sound and still for up to two hours at a time between breaths, in pods of 5 or 6 whales, presumably for protection. No one knew whales slept vertically until a 2008 study documented the behavior. And no one captured really good photography of it in the wild until 2017. French photographer Stephane Granzotto was documenting sperm whales in the Mediterranean for his book on the creatures when he came across these sleeping whales.
CURRENTLY: Sun at 17 Gemini Mercury RETROGRADE at 23 Gemini Venus at 4 Cancer (home, roots, family) Mars at 26 Cancer (into Leo Friday) Jupiter at 1 Pisces (strong) Saturn RETROGRADE at 13 Aquarius (rulership) Neptune at 23 Pisces (rulership, strong) Pluto RETROGRADE at 26 Capricorn North Node at 10 Gemini

We begin this week with a balsamic, fallow Moon, building towards a New Moon Eclipse at 19 Gemini on Thursday. Leading up to this Moon, we have an opportunity to release things that no longer fit into our new way of being. We are in eclipse season, which occurs every six months in a specific sign. It always carries a theme, and since these eclipses are on the Gemini-Sagittarius axis this year, the theme is to let go of old ways of being in order to make way for the fresh and new. These eclipses give us a reality check, and a chance to take personal inventory. They show the neglected, shadow sides of our lives, and point us towards what needs attention.
This weekend we had a cardinal T-square which will be with us for several more days. Pluto in Capricorn opposed Mars in Cancer, and the Aries Moon squared the opposition. This aspect can raise passions and bring up discussions with loved ones about feelings, hopes and fears. If we’re stuck in power struggles with someone, it will become plainly obvious this week.
The undercurrents are the retrogrades of Saturn and Pluto, and the upcoming square of Saturn and Uranus next week. This could add to the tensions between Pluto and Mars, and highlight feelings of no progress. If you’ve been feeling lost in the face of world events, or that you’ve been backsliding, things aren’t moving fast enough, or just irrational fears, it could all be exacerbated by these retrogrades. Saturn and Pluto can bring up helplessness, karma, issues with time, sacrifice and depletion, but it’s always darkest before a new dawn, and we will be receiving a grand, new beginning this week. Sagittarius tells us to have faith.
Monday, June 7th: Moon in Taurus, and Moon conjuncts Uranus. The Moon is exalted here, and it’s also a Monday, so it’s the PERFECT day for Moon Magick. If you want to bring in more creativity or psychic attunement, today is the day for a ritual. Moon bumping into Uranus can bring out your genius as well. Taurus is the sign of sensuality, luxury, indulgence. It’s also a good day for working with animals.
Tuesday, June 8th: Moon into Gemini at 11:47am Pacific. Moon trines Pluto today, along with some lovely sextiles. The Moon is in it’s balsamic phase, preparing for the New Moon coming… Moon square Jupiter in the evening could bring some tensions between our mind and spirit.
Wednesday, June 9th: Moon in Gemini trines Saturn in the afternoon which can bring heavy conversations, based in reality. We have no problem working hard on projects that require mental effort. We are in the sphere of the New Moon in Gemini occurring tomorrow too. The Moon conjuncts the North Node today, so watch for flashes of the future.
Thursday, June 10th: New Moon Solar Eclipse in Gemini in the pre-dawn hours – 3:53am Pacific. There’s a whole slew of aspects too; planetary energies are unified in a lovely, supportive way for this New Moon. The Sun also conjuncts Mercury, which is great for writers and poets. We are drawn to sociability, sharing and TALKING.
Friday, June 11th: Moon Cancer and Mars into Leo! Yay! Mars loves being in a fire sign, and he activates the heart while in Leo. After wandering through uncertain, insecure and emotional Cancer, Mars (and men in general) will be feeling feisty and confident. Support the performing arts.
Saturday, June 12th: Moon in Cancer conjuncts Venus, giving the start of the day a loving, artistic flavor. The Moon interacts with Saturn later on though, and emotions can get heavier. This is a day of healing, rest, reflection and food. With the sensitive Cancer Moon, choose your words wisely. Also today, Venus squares Chiron in Aries, which can give creative people firey inspiration.
Sunday, June 13th: Moon into Leo runs straight into Mars, and suddenly everyone has an opinion or wants to rule the roost. Posturing aside, Venus and the Moon make several lovely aspects with Neptune, Uranus and Saturn, bringing more artistic energy to the day. Channel frustrations into art.
