Today! Monday, May 12th we have a Full Moon in Libra. Romance is in the air. We can have positive conversations and work out agreements with people. The focus is on playing fair and taking everyone’s feelings into account. Work towards win-win situations. This Moon focuses on relationships and reflects the culmination of what’s been building up this Spring.
The Sun in Aries symbolizes the “self” and individuality, and it’s opposite, Libra, represents balance, fairness, relationships, equality and justice. Libra is the sign where we have to deal with other people, so all of our relationships and partnerships will be highlighted this week. It’s a great time to hammer out new, balanced agreements at work too.
The Sun will be in a conjunction with Uranus on this Full Moon too, so expect the unexpected. Literally anything can happen. Self love can be understood on a new level.

Friday we had a New Moon at 15° Libra sidereal. It’s a new beginning for our relationships, friendships, and creative pursuits. New Moons turn the page and give us an opportunity to start over and set new intentions. The new lens for this month is a focus on relationships of all kinds. Maybe you need to reconnect with people you haven’t seen in awhile, or maybe you need new friends. You can reset things now and change your focus.
Venus rules the sign of Libra, and unfortunately she’s not in a great position in the sign of Scorpio. In fact, most of the planets are in challenging signs OR retrograde, so now is a time to get organized rather than doing planetary Magick.
Mars and Pluto are in perfect opposition too at 4° Cancer/Capricorn. This means confrontation and potential violence. I don’t want to overly alarm anyone, BUT it’s best right now to turn the other cheek and avoid trouble with other people. This will be happening through the election and for much of November. On the good side, Pluto demands evolution and reformation, so you can rebirth yourself powerfully. Mars opposition to Pluto can move mountains and help you do the impossible, calling upon inexhaustible resources of energy. As an evolutionary planet, Pluto ultimately demands evolution and this may be a key theme over the next four weeks.

We have moved into October, placing us firmly in harvest season! TODAY we have a New Moon Solar Eclipse at 15° Virgo. Mercury is there too, conjunct the Sun at 15° Virgo. This is an exceptionally “Airy” new moon. All the energy is focused on language, the Mind, communication, honesty, truth, writing, community and focus. However, because it’s an ECLIPSE, the energies can be blocked. We need to take a step forward in a brand new direction today to access the gifts of this cycle. With the energy happening in Virgo, organizing our lives, rolling up our sleeves and getting to work are the best uses of our time.
Mars in Gemini is also throwing immense energy into the mix, since Mars is “drive” and Gemini is another Air sign. In Gemini, Mars lets go of his armor and becomes a social butterfly, focusing on communication, solving puzzles and battles of strategy. People with anxiety might need extra support during this time, because Mars adds electricity to our nervous system. A good place to focus your attention is on freedom and liberation. We had a New Moon at 20 Gemini last Friday. Every New Moon is a new beginning, and this one brings a change in attitude. The urge to get out and socialize will be strong, but a trine with Saturn asks us to keep our boundaries and practice self discipline too. This New Moon is great for activities requiring mental fortitude – especially study. Focus on simplifying your life.
The difficult news, is Mars traveling through the end of Aries and burning us all up in the process. This transit brings extreme heat, fires, battles, explosions, eruptions, and general drama. I’ve never experienced this current two week long heat wave before in my life. Every day we have temperatures over 105° and it’s overwhelming. I’m sad for the future of our society and planet.
There are some lovely sextiles happening this week. The first, between Mercury at 14 Cancer and Jupiter at 14 Taurus. While Mercury isn’t happy slogging through Cancer, we can focus our attentions and communication to our financial security during this time. The most interesting sextile, is the one between Venus and Uranus both at 0° Cancer and Taurus respectively. This is a complete reset in our relationships and friendships; but with Uranus in the mix, some events could take us by surprise. Be thoughtful and speak sincerely.

Full Moon at 7 Pisces on Wednesday, August 30th at 6:36pm Pacific. This Full Moon is conjunct retrograde Saturn, so there is a sense of heaviness and responsibility to issues that are coming up now… and with seven planets in retrograde we are walking back through territory we have already passed through. The past is coming up and giving us a new understanding of our evolution.

We had a brilliant Full Moon Sunday at 16 Aries, which delivers peak experiences with survival, exploration, physicality, courage, and our personal story. Aries is a feisty sign, and indicates a new beginning. If you saw the Moon, you would notice a huge star in the sky next to it; this is Jupiter currently retrograding through Aries. It expands the power and punch of this week’s energies. If you felt a touch of sadness over the weekend, Chiron was also on the Moon, which symbolizes our deepest wounds.
Meanwhile, Pluto moved Direct on Saturday, but will sit at the same degree for a couple of weeks. Pluto is a heavy influence for the rest of October. Saturn is ALSO standing still in the sky, about to go Direct on October 23rd. When Pluto and Saturn are both stationary and preparing to change direction, their energies grind down on us. It was the conjunction of Pluto and Saturn in January 2020 that heralded the pandemic, so we could experience echos of the last two years.
Wednesday, October 12th: Moon in Taurus goes void of course at 2:42pm, then squares Saturn and conjuncts Pluto in the evening. There could be some heaviness or intensity today. Energy will ramp up and move faster as the Moon moves towards Gemini. Remember what Lao Tzu wrote, “Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them — that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

We are building up to the Full Moon at 17 Aries on Sunday. This week starts off quietly, but things will build up to the Full Moon. Also, Mercury went Direct today! Give it a week or two until the planet picks up strong forward motion. Mercury is still in a trine with Mars, and now that the Sun and Venus have moved into Libra, there’s a lot of “Airy” energy flying around. Good time to clear the air with important people, or negotiate new agreements.
Saturn is now squaring Uranus, which could bring up issues (and resolutions) from 2021. This is the LAST of several squares between these two planetary heavyweights. This square has exacerbated the battle between traditional and progressive elements in our country, so watch for more developments coming this month.
Wednesday, October 5th: Moon in Aquarius goes void-of-course at 3:46pm Pacific. The Moon also trines Mars in Gemini, giving us an energetic, sociable boost. Also a conjunction with Saturn, which can lead to a heavy, pessimistic mood. It will pass. Wherever Aquarius falls in your chart is your personal future, so there might be glimpses of it today.

We are building up to the Full Moon at 17 Pisces on Saturday. This week is calmer then things have been, but the Full Moon will still have some intensity for us. Also, Mercury goes retrograde this Friday, September 9th, which means the winged messenger is “stationing” or standing still all week – AND trining Mars at the same time. Misunderstandings or odd conversations can happen. Mercury retrograde is for going back over things you’ve done and examining their accessibility or completion. There will be six planets in retrograde for September, so we are looking back on this year, our lives, and our progress.
Sunday, Venus left passionate, fiery Leo for the earthy, manicured lands of Virgo. Venus in Virgo is more grounded, and relates to the Queen of Pentacles in the Tarot. She’s also The Hermit: an experienced, middle-aged Priestess who has deep wisdom about life. This Venus is practical and has no trouble assessing relationships in a neutral way to see if they are working. She can be a little too critical and oriented towards perfection. With relationships and the creation of art, let yourself be meticulous, discriminating and oriented towards the journey rather than the destination. Virgo is an earth sign, so eating well, being courteous, and keeping a clean house can lead to progress,
Mars in Gemini wants to LEARN. We are driven towards information, socializing, and learning. Its curiosity, networking, designing, commerce, business, and negotiations. There’s a lot of opportunity here – and it’s a good time to get a lot done on many different levels. We can engineer and perfect things, share our thoughts with other people and plan things out.
Friday, September 9th: Moon in Pisces all day opposes Venus in Virgo, which can be tough for date night. Women could be more critical or fussy. If you’re going out tonight, make a solid plan and stick to it. Moon in Pisces is great for movies and entertainment. An opposition means you have to put some work into progressing. Also today, Mercury goes retrograde at 8:38pm Pacific, and will continue moving backwards until Oct 1st. This is not a reason to freak out. Just drive cautiously, and try not to buy any big ticket items until October. If you must work towards something, start small with easily attainable goals. Allow time to reflect on your life.

Also today, we are in the darkest phase of the monthly moon cycle, preparing for rebirth this Saturday with the New Moon in Virgo. We made it through the powerful Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction last week. Now this same conjunction will be affected by the Full Moon. On Thursday, the Full Moon joins Saturn at 20 Aquarius, and squares the Mars/Uranus/Nodes conjunction. This is a really intense couple of weeks because the Universe is insisting we let go of the past, so we can move on to a new path in life. This week’s Full Moon in Aquarius dramatically activates our commitment to our new life too, because we have to face obstacles and limitations.
Along with activating a new life path, the Full Moon in Aquarius brings peak experiences to our social circle, inherent gifts, and progress. The Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction is happening in Taurus, which gives us a new set of values. What are your priorities, and where do you really want to go?

Thursday, August 11th: Full Moon in Aquarius at 6:36pm Pacific as the Sun in Leo squares Uranus in Taurus, and Venus enters Leo! It’s a crazy day and ANYTHING can happen. Venus loves being in Leo – the sign that corresponds to the heart. Let yourself shine as bright as the Moon. With Aquarius, the call to be free is strong; expect the unexpected. Still, with the Full Moon conjunct Saturn, we need to show up for our commitments and responsibilities. There’s a lot of energy flying around today, so just try and be present and focus on what you have control over.
Climb a high peak and watch the Sun set and the Moon rise at the same time. This is a powerful, revolutionary Full Moon, and it’s the brightest of the year. The nature of Aquarius, independence, genius, science, courage, revolution, will be at their highest within each of us.
