We had a brilliant Full Moon Sunday at 16 Aries, which delivers peak experiences with survival, exploration, physicality, courage, and our personal story. Aries is a feisty sign, and indicates a new beginning. If you saw the Moon, you would notice a huge star in the sky next to it; this is Jupiter currently retrograding through Aries. It expands the power and punch of this week’s energies. If you felt a touch of sadness over the weekend, Chiron was also on the Moon, which symbolizes our deepest wounds.
Meanwhile, Pluto moved Direct on Saturday, but will sit at the same degree for a couple of weeks. Pluto is a heavy influence for the rest of October. Saturn is ALSO standing still in the sky, about to go Direct on October 23rd. When Pluto and Saturn are both stationary and preparing to change direction, their energies grind down on us. It was the conjunction of Pluto and Saturn in January 2020 that heralded the pandemic, so we could experience echos of the last two years.
Wednesday, October 12th: Moon in Taurus goes void of course at 2:42pm, then squares Saturn and conjuncts Pluto in the evening. There could be some heaviness or intensity today. This week we are letting go, wrapping stuff up, paying off debts, and clearing our lives of stagnant energy. This is particularly important now, because the Year of the Tiger starts on February 1st, 2022, and the Tiger brings drama. You will want to have your life sorted out as much as possible by then. For now, the Sun has left the fires of Sagittarius, and is traveling through the early degrees of Capricorn, the sea goat. This sign forces us to strengthen the foundation of our lives so we can survive the harsh Winter. Capricorn is also harsh. The goat demands we face reality, and do the hard work necessary to move ahead. There’s no short cuts and you can’t pay your big brother to do it for you. YOU have do the work and apply yourself; then you can walk easily over the impossible terrain of the wild goat.
Monday, December 27th: Moon in Libra trines Saturn in Aquarius in the pre dawn hours, but there are no other aspects. We’re still in the middle of huge energy shifts from this weekend – particularly the Venus-Pluto conjunction, and the square between Saturn and Uranus last Friday. Today’s Moon in Libra seeks balance, so balance is the best thing to focus on today. Walk the middle road between work and play, family and individuality, and love and independence.
Tuesday, December 28th: Moon in Libra squares Mercury, Venus and Pluto in the early morning, then enters Scorpio at 1:16pm Pacific. There could be real tests for relationships and partnerships today, but Moon in Libra is great for reaching agreements. Try to hammer things out with people in the morning. Libra is ruled by Venus, the powerful goddess of love, relationships and art. This New Moon on Wednesday is conjunct the Sun and Mars, which greatly amplifies it’s power. Finding balance and justice are the Libran themes of the upcoming Moon month. The Sun continues it’s travels through the sign of Sagittarius, the Archer. We are renovating our beliefs, and aligning ourselves with new meaning and purpose. Monday night, we had a Full Moon Eclipse at 8 Gemini at 1:30am Pacific. This week is an opportunity for a breakthrough – for something to be released that no longer fits our forward path. If you have any planets near 8 degrees Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo, you might experience some major changes in the next couple of months.
Neptune stationed Direct (forward) last Saturday, but is standing still – and is strong – until mid December. During the retrograde of the last few months, we have confronted an old, karmic delusion that’s been holding us back from being present with ourselves. Now we’re letting it go. We are turning forward to a new way of being in the world.
There’s two directions in a Neptune transit: you can reconnect with your soul through inspiration, spirituality, music or creativity, or you can escape through alcohol, drugs and fantasy. We had a life changing Full Moon Halloween on Saturday! Did you feel the intensity? It was an eye-opener, with the Full Moon conjunct Uranus at 8 Taurus – which also means the Sun and Uranus were in exact opposition. This is liberation, the desire to do something different, alongside revelations about how you want to live in the future. Whatever unresolved issues have been hanging around for the last two years, Saturday’s Moon gave you the needed clarity and answers. The power of this Full Moon will continue to unfold this week.
Also, the Sun traveling through the tunnels of Scorpio gives us opportunities to define our boundaries – especially the internal ones. Can you hold the line if your Will is tested? Can you push away that extra cookie? If someone asks you to do something that goes against your heart and experience, will you let them cross your boundary? Scorpio wants you to define what you’ll put up with and what you won’t – and to mean it. The Universe is asking us to be real, and get honest with ourselves this month. This ties in to the greater purpose of the year 2020 as we go through the “Great Awakening” – we are each healing our relationship with ourselves.

As for the election, it is inextricably tied to the unearthing of America’s shadow, as our country approaches it’s Pluto return. All the repressed, toxic energy under the surface of the United States is coming up to be purged and healed. I see the toxic underbelly as racism, gender discrimination, and the disparities between the rich and the poor. The forgotten people, the mentally ill, the incarcerated… all need to be acknowledged and treated with maturity and vision. Rampant greed must be checked and the welfare of all people made the priority. On Tuesday either we will have a new president, or we will have another four years with a man who represents this shadow side. Try and remember that the Big Picture is really about the US confronting and dealing with it’s shadow side.
Monday, November 2nd: Moon in Gemini. Mercury is Gemini’s ruler, and is currently standing still over our heads at 26 Libra. Mercury goes Direct on Tuesday at 9:50am Pacific. If you have important agreements to hammer out with people, aim to do it anytime after Wednesday. We will see huge amounts of information today and tomorrow as Mercury stations – be sure and research facts.
Tuesday, November 3rd: Moon in Gemini, Mercury Direct at 9:50am Pacific. This is going to be a crazy day with hearsay and different, conflicting currents of information. Stay grounded, and try to stay off the roads if possible. Electronics might experience hiccups. This will be a crazy day in the news, and things will not be as they appear to be at first. Take heart. Why oh why do we have an election while Mercury stations Direct… I don’t know.
Wednesday, November 4th: Moon VOC in Gemini until 1:45pm Pacific. This is the day to stay inside if possible. The Cancer Moon in the evening will bring emotions and sensitivity to the Mercury Direct instability. If there’s going to be protesting over the election, it will likely start tonight.
Thursday, November 5th: Moon in Cancer is part of a big Water trine today. Moon in Cancer trines Sun in Scorpio, and they both trine Neptune in Pisces. It’s a deliciously creative day, so let poetic, artistic inspirations flow. Psychic intuitiveness runs high, and romance is in the air. People will be sensitive today, so allow for people’s feelings.
Friday, November 6th: Moon in Cancer. Lots of sensitivity, sweetness and nostalgia, however Mercury squares Saturn once again. Communications could be limited or take a serious tone, and diplomacy may be difficult with authority figures. On the other side of the equation, it’s a great day to find authenticity with people. Organize your time and practice those internal boundaries.

Pluto is standing still (stationing) and turned Direct today in the early morning. We are presented with revelations regarding our evolution this year… and there’s a lot of evolution happening. In typical Pluto fashion, the personal evolution we are each experiencing this year is tied to the deep changes in our society. The pandemic has shaken the foundation of the world, and our lives along with it. We have an opportunity this month to see how far we’ve come, and to judge where more work is necessary for our progress. Saturn and Pluto are moving veeerrrrry slowly as well: Saturn will be at 25 Capricorn until October 28th, and Pluto will be at 22 Capricorn until Nov 19, so if you have any planets in cardinal signs around those degrees, they are getting a wake up call.
Saturn is showing you what you’ll put up with and what you won’t – it presents your limits and boundaries – and shows you were to be disciplined and work hard.
Pluto is going to make you evolve, but it’s healing at the same time. It opens up your possibilities by transforming you in a natural way in agreement with your soul’s purpose.
Venus has entered Virgo, which is one of the most difficult placements for the planet. In Virgo she is in her “fall” or debilitated, and her energies are weakened. This effects women in general, and women might need extra support this month. One of the best ways to work with Venus in Virgo is to be of service to others, and tie up details and loose ends.
Then there is the issue of the President catching Covid the same week Saturn and Pluto turn Direct. The conjunction of Saturn and Pluto on January 12th spawned the Covid pandemic, and now as these planets are turning Direct, the president has caught Covid, and 31 states are surging with the virus. There is definitely karma involved here, as those are very karmic planets. One of the definitions of Saturn is “you shall reap what you sow”. This is especially true as Saturn and Pluto are both opposing Trump’s natal Saturn. And the week of Oct 12 when the sun will oppose Mars, Mercury retrograde begins, and the sun will square Pluto. Also Sunday Oct 18 when a T square occurs between the sun, Mars and Jupiter. Hang on, we have a wild two weeks ahead of us.

Health breakdowns related to anxiety and frustration, the desire to dominate, to force a way without regard for anyone else, are among the negative qualities of this aspect. Don’t drive aggressively, and walk away from belligerence. Also, not a good time for risk taking as Pluto can have unexpectedly harsh consequences for those who heedlessly push forward.

Be clear this week about what you have control over and what you don’t, because this week we face our shadows. The days are noticeably shorter, and the veil between the worlds is thinning, as we move towards Halloween. This is underlined by Pluto turning stationary Direct in Capricorn on Wednesday. It’s one of the most intense events of this year. Pluto raises toxic energy to the surface for us to face and release, moving us towards regeneration. This week we face our Shadow and shed our skins.
Pluto is also the planet of karma, and when it changes direction we experience a karmic shift. We are deeply transformed, and we are able to release fears and blocks that are holding us back from becoming the best version of ourselves. Saturn and Pluto going Direct together points us to some of the most important issues of our lives. Be alert to messages, and don’t let your fears or negativity block your path.
Monday 9/30 – Moon in Scorpio today. Keep things low key and avoid power struggles or confronting anything. Focus instead on transformation. Whatever internal growth you’ve been experiencing over the last five months is changing direction and is ready to be expressed in your life. If you’re able to put all of your energy towards things you have control over, you’ll be less likely to get into power struggles with people, which is important this week. Remember, Pluto brings reformation, but also healing and rebirth.
Thursday, 10/3 – Moon in Sagittarius today, so thankfully the mood is a little lighter. Mercury enters Scorpio in the early morning hours, bringing emotional depth to communication. Avoid obsession, or digging too deeply into the psychology of others. Keep communications as loving and balanced as possible, since Scorpio can be too blunt about the truth. Work on shadow integration and transformation instead. Mars goes into Libra (its detriment) in the evening, bringing a slow down to action.
Friday, 10/4 – Moon into Capricorn. Focus on work and what you’re producing. Projects or events can be hard to get off the ground, and the energy is kind of serious for a date night. Practice patience.
Saturday, 10/5 – Moon in Capricorn. Get the chores done this weekend. Work in the garden, tidy up the house and cook for the week.
Sunday, 10/6 – Moon into Aquarius in the evening. Mercury (in Scorpio) also opposes Uranus (in Taurus), at 11:15pm. That’s a lot of electricity in the area we already covered this week.
