“Obscurity of a Honeymoon” by MICHAEL CHEVAL

CURRENTLY:
Sun at 4 Libra (in it’s fall, no Sun Magick now)
Mercury DIRECT at 26 Libra
Venus at 15 Virgo (in her fall, don’t do Venus Magick)
Mars at 26 Libra (debilitated, no Mars Magick)
Jupiter 0 Cancer!! (EXALTED! Excellent time for Jupiter Magick!)
Saturn RETROGRADE at 2 Pisces
Uranus RETROGRADE at 6 Taurus
Neptune RETROGRADE at 5 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto at 7 Capricorn
North Node at 23 Aquarius

We begin this week with a New Moon at 4° Libra, AND the auspicious Diwali festival of light! This New Moon is important on a spiritual level because it comes with Diwali, which symbolizes light overcoming darkness, and knowledge overcoming ignorance. It is a huge festival celebrated over several days, and is associated with Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, and Ganesha, the god of wisdom and the remover of obstacles.

This New Moon brings hope, and has a spark of divine light. It occurs near the star Chitra, which is the star of opportunity. It brings the power of Vishwakarma – the deity of innovative designs and crafting. Also, Jupiter, the planet of luck and wisdom, has just entered Cancer! This is a high placement, and Jupiter is exalted, giving his wisdom and light in the most nourishing ways! It happens only once every 12 years too, so this is a great transit.

Give yourself time to reflect on how you’d like the upcoming Moon cycle to go. If you’d like a personal reading on how this Libra cycle will affect you, book a reading with me here.

Oct. 21 could be a good night to see a comet

Full Moon today at 19 Pisces! Try to get outside and into the light of this full moon, because it brings blessings of the wealth goddess Lakshmi. This full moon rains down the “nectar of immortality” that rejuvenates, heals, and gives promise for the future. Set an intention for revisualizing your life. The choices that you’re making this week are BLESSED. This is a great night to charge water, sweet milk or gemstones in the light of the Moon.

Saturn is close to this full moon – you might even see it dimly nearby. There’s something about understanding the structure and limitations of what we are facing, and of the new path we are embarking on. Also, Venus is very close to Ketu (the South Node of the Moon), which activates patterns in relationships. We can see our patterns clearly now and take steps to shift them if needed.

Ready for a change? This is a time of letting go after our recent series of eclipses. Tonight’s full moon brings in the energy of renewal and recalibration towards a new vision. There is a new plan going forward, and we can embrace it. We just passed the Autumn Equinox which is equal day and equal night. This is a time of balance as we pass through the portal between Summer and the darker months. We are inspired to clean up our lives and get everything in order. Pisces is a water sign, and symbolizes the collective unconscious, tidal waves, chaos, the ocean, intuition, surrender, and connection with the divine.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the winged messenger of thought and communication. With the Sun and Mercury in Virgo, our minds are at their peak and we can be decisive. The decisions you make now, determine your future path.

Sun in Virgo means to discern, analyze, discriminate and assimilate. We need to take care of ourselves and each other. Virgo is a sign of health, work, and being of service. We are preparing to focus on ‘relationships’ when the Sun goes into Libra soon. How we enter the world needs to be thought out, planned and disciplined in Virgo.

Full Moon in Gemini

Current SIDEREAL placements. Sidereal is different than traditional tropical astrology because it’s based on where the planets actually ARE in the constellations:

Sun at 20° Sagittarius
Mercury at 5° Sagittarius (in his detriment, no Mercury Magick now)
Venus at 15° Sagittarius
Mars at 18° Sagittarius
Jupiter RETROGRADE at 27 Gemini (in detriment, no Jupiter Magick now)
Saturn at 2° Pisces
Uranus RETROGRADE at 3° Taurus
Neptune 5° Pisces (rulership)
Pluto at 8 Capricorn
North Node at 16° Aquarius

Full Moon at 20° Gemini (sidereal), at 3:32am Pacific.
Moon, Sun and Jupiter all conjunct at 9 Gemini, which boosts the energy of this Moon in positive directions. All of this beautiful energy and rebirth is exactly square Saturn though… so you have to rebuild the structure of your life too.

This Moon breathes new beginnings into our communications, thinking, mindset, and social groups. Gemini is talking and socializing, so get out and have some fun! The focus now is on finding our inner truths, and looking at the big picture of our lives. Maybe you need some time in solitude so you can reflect on what’s working in your life, and what you need to release so you can live in your truth.

Try to avoid snap decisions or risky situations though, since the New Moon is square the planet Saturn. You must plan carefully and take the long view of your life.

Happy 2026! January 1st begins with Mercury making its final square to Neptune in Pisces, inviting reflection on intuition, imagination, and trusting subtle inner messages without needing immediate clarity. As Mercury enters Capricorn later that day, joined by the Sun, Venus, and Mars, the tone shifts toward realism, boundaries, responsibility, and discerning what truly deserves your time and energy as the year begins.

Chiron stations direct at 22 deg Aries on January 2nd, marking a turning point in personal healing and sovereignty and signaling readiness to move forward after a period of deep internal work. Yet sensitivity remains heightened through its square to Jupiter in Cancer.

The January 3rd Cancer Full Moon brings an emotional and heart-centered recalibration, activating themes of belonging, safety, unconditional love, and emotional truth as the lunar energy aligns with Sirius, our Spiritual Sun.

Together, these transits describe an initiation into 2026 that asks for stronger boundaries, deeper self-trust, and a renewed connection between heart and purpose, setting the stage for a very active and forward-moving January.

Full Moon in Scorpio

Current SIDEREAL placements. Sidereal is different than traditional tropical astrology because it’s based on where the planets actually ARE in the constellations:

Sun at 26 Taurus
Mercury at 8 Gemini (Rulership! Excellent time for Mercury magick)
Venus at 9 Aries
Mars at 2 Leo (great for Mars magick)
Jupiter at 6 Gemini (in its detriment. No Jupiter magick)
Saturn at 6 Pisces
Uranus at 4 Taurus
Neptune at 7 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 9 Capricorn
North Node at 29 Aquarius

Full Moon at 26° Scorpio (sidereal) at 12:43am Pacific, 6/11/25. Its falling near the star Antares – the heart of the Scorpion – which is a sensitive, transformational place. We need to be acknowledged, to correct injustice, and to have our boundaries respected. SCORPIO = regeneration, transformation, anger, rebirth, boundaries, sex, and the occult. Scorpio Moon can bring up issues around power and control.

This full moon has a special energy of reverence; a need to be respected and to have our boundaries guarded and honored. It is in the area of the sky called Jyestha. This nakshatra represents respect, so a big part of this full moon in Scorpio is rising up and overcoming disrespect or oppression. We can see it around us right now with the clashes between the violations of human rights and authoritarianism.

We can see clearly through illusion.

It is important to vibrate high and stay away from toxic people and situations. Absolutely get out and protest, but avoid drastic, extremist attitudes.

Scorpio is ruled by Mars, the warrior god of strength, courage, boundaries, assertiveness, men, justice, and action. Mars JUST entered Leo which is fantastic! There is a new feeling of forward motion and getting things done.

Mars encourages us to look at our goals.

Do you have any goals? Are they in alignment with your true and highest self?

Assess your ambitions, life path and direction. It is a time to think about your actions, and whether they are aligned with the life and world you want to create.

Look at your energy and drive because they are valuable. Is your current job or project worth what you’re spending the time on? Do you need to make a change?

Also Saturn and Neptune are in a conjunction in this watery, nebulous energy of Pisces. Saturn is being challenged now to hold structure in what is completely unknown (Neptune). This relates to AI and how it pushes the edge of reality. Be aware that what you think might be real may not be real at all right now. On an inner level understand that what is true in one way can be completely differently true in another way. It’s rare to have a conjunction between Saturn and Neptune. It gives us the ability to see illusion for what it really is, and that is liberating.

The positive thing about this is that Saturn and Neptune in Pisces is opening spiritual growth for a lot of people. This is a powerful time to really be seeing through the illusions.

Full Moon Eclipse in Leo

CURRENT SKY:
Sun at 27 Aquarius (detriment – no Sun Magick now)
Mercury stationing RETROGRADE at 14 Pisces (in it’s Fall – no Mercury Magick now)
Venus RETROGRADE at 13 Pisces
Mars at 23 Gemini
Jupiter at 18 Taurus
Saturn at 27 Aquarius (rulership)
Neptune at 4 Pisces (rulership, strong)
Pluto at 8 Capricorn
North Node at 2 Pisces

Full Moon Eclipse at 27 Leo sidereally, occuring at 11:55pm Pacific TONIGHT!
Prepare to be liberated.

A Full Moon at the end of Leo often represents a life full of happiness and joy. Leo, ruled by the Sun, follows his heart and connects with creativity. It’s a joyous time, and the perfect night to see electrifying musical or artistic performances. However this Full Moon is exactly opposite Saturn, which means we also need to be hard-working and sincere with our work. Saturn maintains a strict discipline, including cleanliness and neatness. You will never find clutter on his table.

Some ancient peoples say that being outside with an eclipse is not a good thing. This is because Ketu – symbolizing the past – will be moving across the Moon. It’s the shadowy tail of the cosmic dragon, and it brings up past uncertainties, the unseen, and ancient karmas. If we are ready, it gives us the power to face our past and make fundamental changes, releasing the dead weight of grievances and empty attachments. This eclipse is a portal, showing us how to release regret and heartbreak.

Tonight, this eclipse falls in a section of the Vedic sky called “Uttara Phalguni”. It’s symbolized by a bed, and represents relaxation, comfort, and rejuvenation. Mindfully use this eclipse to remove blocks to prosperity, friendship and noble virtue.

Also, Mercury is going retrograde at 14 Pisces tomorrow (Friday)!

Venus went retrograde last weekend. We are slowing down and looking backwards to old relationship patterns over the next month. Her retrograde cycle is actually an ancient process of transformation. Venus sinks in the evening sky, disappears in the Sun, then rises as the morning star a few week later. She comes down to earth to re-evaluate things. The Venus retrograde cycle comes once every 18 months, and manifests a powerful cycle of death and rebirth. We shed old ideals and think about what works for us in the present. We confront hard truths about love, money, and creativity.  When Venus rises as the Morning Star on April 12th, a new clarity regarding commitment and self-worth will also rise.

Love Readings!

The Lovers (1888) by Émile Friant

Interested in a deeper understanding of a current relationship? Want some clarity on your interactions or to know what to expect this year?

In celebration of Valentine’s Day I’m now offering relationship readings!

In this session we will explore how you interact with your partner, what you both bring to the relationship, how to improve things between you, AND what will develop in 2025. This can be a reading between couples, friends, or family members.

SIGN UP HERE!

This reading will be a combination psychic/astrology reading, so after signing up please email me the date, time and location of your birth, and the other person’s birth, to LizRose93 @gmail.com, and I will send you your chart in preparation for our talk. If you can have this chart in front of you (either printed or on a computer), that would be great.

The astrology I use is a “synastry” chart which compares the life paths of two individuals. It shows how the two people affect each other, what lessons they are learning in their relationship, and how future aspects will be affecting their connection. Synastry is the art of chart comparison. It’s your chart alongside the other persons’ and it clearly shows how your planets aspect one another. The art is in the interpretation, and I have decades of experience with these readings.

For instance, if your Venus is on his Mars or vice versa, or even just trining it – FIREWORKS. However if his Saturn is on your Moon? That’s very limiting and challenging. Sun-Mercury? Communication will not be a problem.

In Synastry it’s the major, close and steamingly obvious aspects that tend to tell the story of your relationship. I look for conjunctions, oppositions, squares or trines in a close “orb” of two degrees or less. When you find the top five aspects voila – there is your compatibility.

I can go even further and create a composite chart (your chart and theirs blended into one) and then progress that to show current influences. If you’re annoyed that their Saturn is on your Moon, you can bring in asteroids too! Who cares about that pesky Saturn-Moon situation when his asteroid Lucifer is on your Nefertiti? Still, I will figure out the five most singular, glaringly obvious aspects and stick with those.

I receive many calls from people interested in spells and Magick, and how to bring a partner back to them. My view is to stick to love spells that bring you the ideal partner for yourself, or better yet, stick to rituals that make you awesome for your own pleasure, and lead you to contentment and joy in being alone. If you aren’t happy alone, you won’t be happy with anyone else, and you’ll ruin everything for them while making your own life harder.

My view is to get your life together, do the work on yourself, heal the breaches, and fix your issues. There are amazing people out there waiting for someone worth spending their time with, but who have already done a lot of work on themselves.

Be the best person you can be. Deal with your bitterness, your insecurities, your broken relationships, the holes in your soul, your mom and dad issues. Be the person you need to be, so you can be a good partner to someone. The bar is high for awesome. Have a good life, and share that with other people. There are so many people out there ready for a grown up illuminated person.

Full Moon in Gemini

Current SIDEREAL placements. Sidereal is different than traditional tropical astrology because it’s based on where the planets actually ARE in the constellations:

Sun at 28 Sagittarius
Mercury DIRECT at 11 Sagittarius (in it’s detriment, no Mercurial Magick)
Venus at 15 Aquarius
Mars RETROGRADE at 2 Cancer (Fall, no Mars magick)
Jupiter RETROGRADE at 17 Taurus

Monday, January 13, 2025: Full Moon at 28° Gemini (sidereal), at 2:27pm Pacific. This week will show culminating experiences in our communications, thinking, mindset, and social groups. Gemini is talking and socializing, so get out and have some fun! Also, Full Moons bring peak experiences from the energy that’s been building over the previous two weeks. The focus now is on finding our inner truths, and looking at the big picture of our lives. Maybe you need some time in solitude so you can reflect on what’s working in your life, and what you need to release so you can live in your truth.

Try to avoid confrontations or risky situations though, since the Full Moon is conjunct the planet Mars – actually blocking his light in the sky.

Venus will be approaching Saturn this week, arriving exactly conjunct on Saturday, January 18th. This aspect is powerful, and will bring a seriousness to our relationships and creative projects. It will encourage us to get organized, disciplined and responsible with regards to art, music, groups and socializing. It could also support the folks in LA to begin the path of rebuilding their lives into a structure where they can flourish. Saturn rules houses, plans, structure, stability and focus. Venus also rules women, and the conjunction with Saturn can bring up worries and pessimism about relationships. Saturn demands that boundaries be respected and that communications are authentic. People need loyalty and space with this aspect. If you need to have a heart to heart with someone, speak carefully, with restraint and respect.

Uranus is stationing over our heads for several weeks, bringing many changes in direction for each of us. Uranus liberates from limiting ideas and relationships – he sets us free. Where do you need freedom right now? How might new communities help us? Try something different. Take a detour or go to a completely new place and see what happens!

New Moon in Leo

Current SIDEREAL:
Sun at 15 Leo (in rulership, very strong)
Mercury at 28 Cancer
Venus at 10 Virgo (in detriment. No Venus Magick now)
Mars at 3 Gemini
Jupiter at 24 Taurus
Saturn RETROGRADE at 21 Aquarius (rulership)
Neptune RETROGRADE at 3 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 4 Capricorn
North Node at 11 Pisces

We begin this week with a New Moon in Leo, which occurred Monday at 15 Leo, and continues to unfold throughout the week. Begin new projects involving creativity and self expression. Leo is the most powerful of all zodiac signs, because it is the only one ruled by the Sun. Now we get to play around, be childlike, explore beauty, be romantic, goof off, create art and be physical. It symbolizes our souls, and their EXPRESSION, along with a feeling of togetherness.

With the Sun in Leo, we revel in our true identity, and practice new ways of expressing it to the world.

Week of July 8th: New Moon in Gemini

Current Sidereal Placements:
Sun at 22 Gemini
Mercury at 14 Cancer
Venus at 0 Cancer
Mars at 25 Aries (rulership)
Jupiter at 14 Taurus
Saturn RETROGRADE at 24 Aquarius (rulership)
Uranus at 0 Taurus
Neptune RETROGRADE at 4 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 6 Capricorn
North Node at 15 Pisces

We had a New Moon at 20 Gemini last Friday. Every New Moon is a new beginning, and this one brings a change in attitude. The urge to get out and socialize will be strong, but a trine with Saturn asks us to keep our boundaries and practice self discipline too. This New Moon is great for activities requiring mental fortitude – especially study. Focus on simplifying your life.

The difficult news, is Mars traveling through the end of Aries and burning us all up in the process. This transit brings extreme heat, fires, battles, explosions, eruptions, and general drama. I’ve never experienced this current two week long heat wave before in my life. Every day we have temperatures over 105° and it’s overwhelming. I’m sad for the future of our society and planet.

There are some lovely sextiles happening this week. The first, between Mercury at 14 Cancer and Jupiter at 14 Taurus. While Mercury isn’t happy slogging through Cancer, we can focus our attentions and communication to our financial security during this time. The most interesting sextile, is the one between Venus and Uranus both at 0° Cancer and Taurus respectively. This is a complete reset in our relationships and friendships; but with Uranus in the mix, some events could take us by surprise. Be thoughtful and speak sincerely.

The Seven Talismans

Making a talisman for a planet gives one the power of attracting the Seven Planetary Forces. Unfortunately these metals are extremely expensive, or lethal (i.e. lead and quicksilver), but it’s still interesting to look at these correspondences. They apply to writing with different colored inks as well.

Gold is the Metal of the Sun
Silver is the Metal of the Moon
Iron is the Metal of Mars
Copper is the Metal of Venus
Quicksilver is the Metal of Mercury
Tin is the Metal of Jupiter
Lead is the Metal of Saturn

The 7 Kabbalistic Signs of the Planets are:

1. Moon: a Globe Divided by Two Middle Moons.

2. Mercury: a Cadeus and Cynocephalus.

3. Venus: a Sexual Lingam.

4. Sun: a Serpent with the Head of a Lion.

5. Mars: a Dragon biting a Swords Guard.

6. Jupiter: a Pentagram, or an Eagle’s Beak.

7. Saturn: a Limping Elder, or a Rock entwined by a Serpent.

The Governors of the Seven Planets are:

1. Gabriel: Moon
2. Raphael: Mercury
3. Uriel: Venus
4. Michael: Sun
5. Samael: Mars
6. Zachariel: Jupiter
7. Orifiel: Saturn

Also, the Seven Notes of the Lyre of Orpheus correspond to the Seven Planets. A Planetary note corresponds to each one of the Seven Colors of the Solar Prism. Alchemy is Intimately Related to Music.
