The Full Moon occured this morning around 5am PST at 18° Aries. It’s a Supermoon – the biggest and brightest full moon of 2025. This Moon brings peak experiences with exploration, physicality, courage, and our personal story. Aries is a fiery sign, and indicates new clarity and energy. Since this Full Moon takes place in the area of the sky known as Bharani, regeneration is highlighted. It’s a time of accepting endings, and nurturing new beginnings.
Today is also Kartik Purnima, one of the most sacred full moon days in the Hindu calendar, it symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness. It is the “Diwali of the Gods”, marking the day when gods are believed to descend on earth to celebrate Diwali on the banks of the Ganga. Burn some candles today.

We begin this week with a New Moon at 4° Libra, AND the auspicious Diwali festival of light! This New Moon is important on a spiritual level because it comes with Diwali, which symbolizes light overcoming darkness, and knowledge overcoming ignorance. It is a huge festival celebrated over several days, and is associated with Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, and Ganesha, the god of wisdom and the remover of obstacles.
This New Moon brings hope, and has a spark of divine light. It occurs near the star Chitra, which is the star of opportunity. On Sunday we had a Full Moon Eclipse in Aquarius. Moon conjunct Rahu (North Node). You had to be in Asia, Australia, or Africa to see it ❤ The energies of this eclipse are unfolding for ALL of us this week. What are your commitments to friends, groups or projects? Your plans for the future? Perhaps getting out and protesting for important causes? These are general themes this eclipse season is kicking up for us.
This Full Moon is a portal that all of us pass through. Because it’s in the sign of Aquarius, in the nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada, it is VERY fiery. It symbolizes a funeral pyre – the fire that separates the soul from the body. There is a strong emphasis on spiritual awakening leading to a powerful rebirth. It brings breakthroughs, courageous life changes and transformation; prompting individuals to break from conventional paths. Eclipses bring a stronger momentum to liberate oneself from old patterns. It’s not a time to be flashy, but to lead with compassion.

The strongest energy this month is occuring in the sign of Leo. Since everyone has Leo in their chart somewhere, it’s affecting you. In Jyotish, or Vedic astrology, both Mars and Ketu are sharp, fiery signs. They BOTH rule knives, needles… anything pointy. What does this mean? Everything associated with Leo right now is sharp as hell: creative projects, ideas, art, and performances will be amazing to watch since musicians and artists are sharply focused, unified, and on point.
However, the actions of Leo actually manifest in the sign of Libra, so this is a tough time for partnerships (Libra). We need to be acknowledged, to correct injustice, and to have our boundaries respected. SCORPIO = regeneration, transformation, anger, rebirth, boundaries, sex, and the occult. Scorpio Moon can bring up issues around power and control.
This full moon has a special energy of reverence; a need to be respected and to have our boundaries guarded and honored. It is in the area of the sky called Jyestha. This nakshatra represents respect, so a big part of this full moon in Scorpio is rising up and overcoming disrespect or oppression. Today! Monday, May 12th we have a Full Moon in Libra. Romance is in the air. We can have positive conversations and work out agreements with people. We had a Full Moon at 28 Virgo last Saturday. It sparks off a week of organization and assimilation. I view Virgo as the sign of the High Priestess, inspiring us to own our power, and living in our authenticity. With Virgo we get REAL and accept what life has given us. The problem though, is Virgo’s ruler Mercury is currently wallowing in Pisces. He’s unable to express himself there, and his quickness gets watered down with dreams and intuition. So yeah, there may not be a lot of clarity this week. It’s a balance between taking care of business and trusting our intuition.
But the BEST news is that Venus turned DIRECT right after the full moon. This brings a new chapter of love and money into our lives. If things have felt “off” over the past couple of months, we now have a new clarity and direction. Follow the truth you’re finding now, and take a step towards freedom. Last Saturday’s full moon can heal self-doubt and heartbreak, and offers true closure on relationships, ideas, and contracts when it’s for the highest good.
Venus turning Direct and becoming the Morning Star is symbolic of rebellion, and it only occurs once every 18 months. The weeks ahead are when Venus reaches her brightest luminosity, and she will dominate the morning sky.

A Full Moon at the end of Leo often represents a life full of happiness and joy. Leo, ruled by the Sun, follows his heart and connects with creativity. It’s a joyous time, and the perfect night to see electrifying musical or artistic performances. However this Full Moon is exactly opposite Saturn, which means we also need to be hard-working and sincere with our work. Saturn maintains a strict discipline, including cleanliness and neatness. Some ancient peoples say that being outside with an eclipse is not a good thing. This is because Ketu – symbolizing the past – will be moving across the Moon. Tonight, this eclipse falls in a section of the Vedic sky called “Uttara Phalguni”. It’s symbolized by a bed, and represents relaxation, comfort, and rejuvenation. Mindfully use this eclipse to remove blocks to prosperity, friendship and noble virtue.

Venus went retrograde last weekend. We are slowing down and looking backwards to old relationship patterns over the next month. Her retrograde cycle is actually an ancient process of transformation.
