For the next several days, we are building up to the Full Moon at 29 Aquarius, which will happen in the pre-dawn hours of Sunday, August 22nd. The energies of this Full Moon will unfold NEXT week, and through the end of August. We will have peak experiences with our genius, our social circle, gains, and personal story. Since this Full Moon takes place at the very last degree of Aquarius, we are REALLY wrapping something up – something is ending and something is about to be born anew.

This is the last week we have with the Sun in it’s natural home of Leo. The Sun moves through the last degrees of Leo, and moves into Virgo this coming Sunday, a few hours after the Full Moon in Aquarius! It’s like two Full Moons in one day, since we flip from Leo/Aquarius to Virgo/Pisces in the space of a few hours. Sunday the 22nd is a BIG day.

In other news, Mercury entered Virgo last Wednesday, and is now in the sign of it’s greatest expression (exaltation). The winged messenger is in his home kingdom, so if you need focus, clarity, writing or speaking abilities – Wednesdays are the days to engage in airy Magick. Mercury is only here for a month or so every year, so make good use of this time. In my opinion, Mercury is the planet of Magick and rules the occult.

Monday, August 16th: Moon in Sagittarius squares Mercury and Mars. This will give some foreshadowing on the issues of this week, because Mercury and Mars are traveling closely together all week long. Our energies and our minds are linked and operating in harmony during this build up to the Full Moon. Pay attention to what happens today. Also Venus enters Libra in the middle of the night, yay! Much more comfortable placement for the goddess of love.

Tuesday, August 17th: Moon in Sagittarius goes void-of-course at 6:43pm Pacific. There’s five aspects today too, the biggest being Sun inconjunct Pluto. You could see a small crisis arise that brings you to a turning point. Also, Uranus is slowing down and preparing to station retrograde on Thursday. Life starts feeling different.

Wednesday, August 18th: Moon in Capricorn trines both Mars and Mercury today, as the two planets conjunct each other in Virgo. That’s a powerful trio coming together. Mars is drive, energy, and strategy, and will send us messages about our ambitions today. The Moon is uncomfortable and heavy here, and authorities can be rigid and uncaring. Energy is hard to get off the ground, control issues arise along with power struggles. Keep a low profile today since Uranus (sudden events) is stationing.

Thursday, August 19th: Moon in Capricorn goes void-of-course at 5pm Pacific, and Uranus stations retrograde at 6:40pm. The call to be free is strong; expect the unexpected. Sun also opposes Jupiter around the same time! Look out for arrogance, indulgence, taking risks and being overly optimistic. Whew. There’s just a ton of energy flying around today, so just try and be present and focus on what you have control over.

Friday, August 20th: Moon in Aquarius makes a lovely trine with Venus in Libra, and then conjuncts Saturn. Mercury in Virgo trines Uranus in the middle of the night too, which means anything can happen today. That’s some wonderful airy energy that we can use to enhance our communication and focus our minds. We are now in the orb of the Full Moon coming Sunday morning, so don’t go out tonight. Try new approaches to earthly matters.

Saturday, August 21st: Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus in the early morning. Some new information will help us turn an emotional corner. Also, an Aquarian Moon on a Saturday is great for saturnian Magick, i.e. discipline, structure and focus. The Full Moon rising tonight will be one of the brightest of the year. Remember dream messages.

Sunday, August 22nd: Full Moon at 29 Aquarius at 5:02am Pacific, then into Pisces at 5:43am. Even though the Moon flips into Pisces for the day, the influence of the Aquarian Full Moon is with us. Aquarius and Pisces are multi-dimensional signs, so we can use our imaginations and readily access other “frequencies”. Mars trines Uranus in the middle of the night, which activates our genius, and gives rise to sudden revelations and events.

Climb a high peak and watch the Sunset and the Moon rise at the same time. This is a powerful, revolutionary Full Moon, and it’s the brightest of the year. The nature of Aquarius i.e. independence, genius, science, courage, revolution, will all be at it’s highest within each of us.

We begin this week with a New Moon in Leo, which occured Sunday at 6:50am Pacific, at 16 Leo, and continues to unfold throughout the week. We now begin new projects involving creativity and self expression. Leo is the most powerful of all zodiac signs, because it is the only one ruled by the Sun. Now we get to play around, be childlike, explore beauty, be romantic, goof off, create art and be physical. It symbolizes our souls, and their EXPRESSION, along with a feeling of togetherness.

On the other hand, we have a resurgence of Covid. People are beginning to social distance again, to wear masks and isolate in their homes. This is, once again, Saturn in Aquarius. The multitudes, the population, humanity (Aquarius) – is being LIMITED by Saturn. This stern planet rules restrictions, responsibilities, maturity and reality. It is the opposite of the Leo Sun, so our leonine frolicking might be limited. This became pronounced with the exact opposition between the Sun in Leo and Saturn in Aquarius that occured last week.

The Sun and Saturn opposition is also forming squares to Uranus in TAURUS. Uranus here causes us to reevaluate our resources, self reliance, our money, where we live, our survival… the simple basics of life. We are being asked to approach these things in a new way. Uranus is the planet of liberation, rebellion, UFO’s, computer nerds, science, numbers, space and astrology. Taurus is the EARTH in every way, and here we have wild, eccentric Uranus sweeping through and changing the rules. It’s a big shift, and it will be there five more years!

Monday, August 9th: Moon in Virgo all day, but the massive effect of yesterday’s New Moon at 16 Leo is still in effect. Chiron in Aries is closely trine to the New Moon in Leo, and can bring soul healing. Also today Venus opposition Neptune is exact. Artists, musicians and writers can make good headway on their projects. Imagination and inspiration are easily accessed, but avoid the urge for intoxication and escapism.

Tuesday, August 10th: Virgo Moon brings order, health and discipline; watch out for self criticism or doubt. Mercury opposite Jupiter at 6:20pm can bring arrogance and misunderstandings, so save important conversations for tomorrow. Also, Mars in Virgo squares the Moon’s nodes (past and future), which brings healing opportunities from the past, so we can move forward. This healing aspect will be going on for the next week or so.

Wednesday, August 11th: Moon and Venus in Virgo, BOTH trine Pluto today! This is major, cathartic shifts in the areas of feelings and relationships. Watch for “do or die” situations, and remember there is more to the picture. You are not trapped or stuck. Try not to freak yourself out. Huge healing and transformation is also available with these aspects – especially involving health, work, art, romance or ambitions. Go with the flow and write down your epiphanies.

Also, Mercury enters Virgo, it’s exaltation!!! Yay!! Our minds will be operating at peak efficiency for the next month. Wonderful for making plans, writing, finishing projects, organizing, and getting your life together!

Thursday, August 12th: Moon in Libra trines Saturn in the morning, giving this day a serious vibe. The focus will be on fairness, balance and justice. Try to see the other person’s point of view and be flexible. Agreements will be hard won.

Friday, August 13th: Moon in Libra, into Scorpio at 5pm Pacific. Mars semi-sextile to Saturn will make us roll up our sleeves and get to work. We will be driven today, and can make solid progress where we focus our attention. With Mars, Venus and Mercury in Virgo, it’s not a great date night. We’re laser focused on health right now, so embrace it. Practice patience.

Saturday, August 14th: Moon in Scorpio makes four aspects today, giving us many opportunities for a new adventure. Venus and Jupiter are in a tussle (inconjunct) in the morning, so the desire for indulgences will be strong, just keep an eye on yourself and your inclinations. Don’t take risks today.

Sunday, August 15th: Moon in Scorpio makes five different aspects today, and moves into Sagittarius at 8:12pm Pacific. Visit the ocean, or hang out by a pool. The Scorpio Moon brings out the truth, but also makes people sensitive, so avoid social complications. With the Moon in Scorpio it’s a witchy day. Remember, if a boundary needs to be set, today is the day.

Week of August 1st: Harvest festival LAMMAS

carl-haag-druidess-with-mistletoe-1868

CURRENTLY:
Sun at 11 Leo (in rulership, very strong)
Mercury at 14 Leo
Venus at 15 Virgo (in detriment. No Venus Magick now)
Mars at 3 Virgo
Jupiter RETROGRADE at 29 Aquarius
Saturn RETROGRADE at 10 Aquarius (rulership)
Neptune RETROGRADE at 22 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 25 Capricorn
North Node at 8 Gemini

Mars joined Venus in Virgo last week, and now we’re busy organizing our lives. In Virgo, Mars lets go of his armor and becomes a specialist who makes lists and gets things done. There is amazing focus available to us right now, as well as attention to detail. Virgo wants to be of service by providing a practical way of reaching our goals, without losing track of the details (or ourselves). Avoid nit-picking arguments and being overly critical of your efforts. Mars and Venus in Virgo can be cranky and irritable.

We begin this week with a balsamic, fallow Moon, building towards a New Moon at 16 Leo next Sunday. Leading up to this New Moon, we have an opportunity to release our laziness, procrastination, and fears of the future (i.e. Sun in Leo). And Sunday was a Sabbat, the ancient festival of Lammas! Lammas is the first harvest festival of the year, signifying the height of Summer and the turn towards Fall. Here are the Goddesses and Gods of Lammas:

Demeter/Ceres: Goddess of grains and the harvest, and mother to Persephone, who is about to return to the Underworld for the Fall and Winter. The change in weather is the grief of Demeter being separated from Persephone.

Cronus/Saturn: Greek god of the harvest and the first father of the universe. He is usually portrayed with a sickle in hand, and is considered a harvest God. He had his own holiday, called the Kronia, when the Greeks celebrated the harvest. It was held in the month of Hekatombaion, with equates roughly to July/August.

Hestia/Vesta: Goddess of Fire and the Hearth, she protects the homes of her worshippers.

Lugh: This is the Celtic God that gave Lammas, or Lughnasadh, it’s name! Lugh is the god of light, truth, oaths and the arts. Tradition says that Lugh created the festival of Lughnasadh in honor of his foster mother and earth goddess, Tailtiu.

Renenutet: Egyptian goddess of nourishment, the harvest, and fertility. Also goddess of the soul’s true name. Sometimes considered the wife of Sobek.

Sobek: Egyptian crocodile god, he was also the god of the Nile. In Egypt, the flooding of the Nile is the primary source of essential nutrients and minerals to the fields, so if the Nile does not flood or has a poor flood in a given year, it can cause a bad harvest. Sobek would be important around this time of year, as the people would want to thank him for a good harvest. Also a protective god and a creator god.

Monday, August 2nd: Moon in Gemini makes a couple of tough squares with Jupiter and Mars. There’s also a big Saturn influence over the beginning of the week due to the Sun’s opposition with Saturn in the middle of the night. Today could be kinda tough, with all of us needing to come up with the hard, cold facts. With the Moon in Gemini, we will find the way through this with our quick minds and communications.

Tuesday, August 3rd: Moon in Gemini makes four nice aspects today – taking the edge off Mercury squaring Uranus in the early evening. This aspect can bring sudden changes and nervous energy. Conversations could take unexpected turns, and it might be difficult to reach understanding through the drama. Leave it for tomorrow. On the bright side, we had a revolutionary Venus trine Uranus in the middle of the night which can enhance our imaginations and relationships.

Wednesday, August 4th: Moon in Gemini goes void at 12:38pm, then moves into Cancer around 2:15pm Pacific. Bring on the hugs and food lol. Moon trines Jupiter around the same time, adding to the feelings of indulgence. Sun trine Chiron today brings lovely opportunities for healing to our old wounds, or healing through children.

Thursday, August 5th: Moon in Cancer sextiles Mars and Uranus, but other than that it’s a quiet day. We are in the darkest phase of the monthly moon cycle, preparing for rebirth this Sunday. Lots of old feelings and issues could be coming up, so we can release them. The Cancerian Moon loves a visit to a pool, lake, river, or the ocean.

Friday, August 6th: Moon in Cancer goes void of course at 3:12pm Pacific, and makes a couple nice aspects with Venus and Neptune. There’s an opposition with Pluto in the late afternoon which can bring up control issues. Then we have a biggie – Sun square Uranus – which can bring up that nervous, dramatic behavior. Take a different approach to issues from earlier in the week. Embrace liberation and independence.

Saturday, August 7th: Moon in Leo opposes Saturn in Aquarius today. We get a glimpse into the underlying tensions of 2021, so be present for what occurs today. Pay attention, the Universe is sending you messages. Also, walk carefully around people’s feelings, because Moon opposing Saturn can bring negativity, pessimism or reality checks. The New Moon is tomorrow morning!

Sunday, August 8th: New Moon in Leo at 6:50am Pacific squares Uranus. Today is fabulous for Sun Magick, since this New Moon occurs on a Sunday. It’s a rare event, allowing magicians to fully access the enormous power of the Sun. Just Do It! Today is the rebirth of creativity, romance, and all things artistic. Tarot card of the day is Strength – tame your inner lion with compassion and patience.

your purpose

Sacred Dakota Burial Mounds in St Paul, MN

“I don’t think your life has to have a purpose, or you have to have a grand ambition; I think it’s okay to just wander through life finding interesting things until you die. I think this goes for art too; you can just make the kind of art you find interesting and you don’t have to plan some great arc to your literary career.

I think the traditional (Western, white) narrative arc has tricked way too many people into thinking their lives have to have one grand epiphany, some flash of great meaning and deep insight, when in reality most people experience these things in much smaller ways throughout life.

I think this also leads a lot of people to miss the stuff that actually makes them happy, because it’s mostly the small stuff. They spend their entire lives looking for a lightning strike and miss out on everything else.” —twitter.com/ambernoelle#ThingsThatMakeYouGoHmm

The Sun moved into Leo last Thursday, entering his home kingdom. The Sun is in his natural element in Leo, and shines his brightest! Now is the time to do Sun magick if you have the inclination. Mercury is zooming through the last degrees of Cancer, and joins the Sun in Leo this coming Tuesday. This will be a great change for all of us. Our minds have been water logged with Cancerian feelings, sensitivities and insecurities. In Leo, Mercury is birthed from the Cancerian womb, becomes the Child, clears his head and fully expresses himself!

Meanwhile, Venus has moved into Virgo, becoming an Earth Goddess for the next few weeks. Venus in Virgo encourages us to embody our inner priestess, and to handle our habits and health in the proper way – let’s eat, sleep, and exercise in the right ways. Mars follows closely behind and joins her in Virgo this week. Give expression to something.

Monday, July 26th: Moon in Pisces makes a couple of minor aspects. We’re still feeling the gravity of yesterday’s Mercury in Cancer opposing Pluto in Capricorn. This aspect brings life changing thoughts, revelations and communications. Evolution through the mind is powerful. When the Mind grasps a new concept, it cannot go back to the former idea.

Tuesday, July 27th: Moon in Pisces goes void around 6:15pm Pacific, and Mercury enters Leo at the same time! Mercury has been moving lightning fast, and is well expressed through the sign of Leo. Our minds and hearts are connected, and commmunications are enhanced. Today is excellent for singing and playing music, if that’s your thing; any artistic ventures will go far today.

Wednesday, July 28th: Moon in Aries, and Jupiter (going backwards or ‘retrograde’) falls back into Aquarius. We will be revisiting issues from the past year, but our approach to solving them will be matured. With Moon in Aries, keep calm while driving, or dealing with insecure, headstrong people. There’s a feeling of rebirth today, so be in tune with what you’re birthing in your life.

Thursday, July 29th: Moon in Aries, and In the morning, there’s a major opposition between Mars in Leo and Jupiter in Aquarius. Focus on leadership. Helping other people shine, is the best use of this energy. Lead with your heart. Mars moves into Virgo around 1:30pm Pacific. Mars isn’t thrilled about Virgo AT ALL, but it IS good for planning new strategies for tackling problems. Mars in Virgo streamlines processes for maximum efficiency. Just go easy on perfectionism and self criticism.

Friday, July 30th: Moon into Taurus at 1:08pm Pacific. Moon sextiles Jupiter, then trines Mars in Virgo an hour later. Keep a cool head and engage in calm communications. With the Taurus Moon (exalted) and these aspects, we could encounter stubborness with people today. Focus on the sensual side of Taurus, and indulge yourself in romance, food, or nature.

Saturday, July 31st: Moon in Taurus, AND enters it’s 4th quarter; the dark of the Moon. The Moon makes three squares today, which gives us some work to do to find agreement or forward progress. Moon conjuncts Uranus bringing surprises.

Sunday, August 1st: Moon in Taurus still today! Sun conjuncts Mercury in Leo at sunrise. Mercury opposes Saturn at 2:50pm Pacific which can bring a deep need for reality-based conversations. Careful not to fall into pessimism or negative thinking.

We still have a heavy water influence as the week begins, culminating with the airy Aquarian Full Moon on Friday. The Sun moves through the last degrees of Cancer, and we are wrapping up our deep emotional reflections from the past month. The energy is settling. On Thursday, the Sun moves into it’s natural home of LEO!!! Now the focus turns to creative play. Leo is a time of celebration of what it means to be alive. It’s self expression, hosting parties, and making your art. Leo wants to shine it’s light outwardly and share it.

Leo is also identity, and we discover who we are THROUGH being creative. What are you creating? What do you enjoy doing? We see ourselves through our play, our hobbies and crafts, our songs, and through our children. If you are still feeling a little lost from all the massive changes last year, try creating something. You will see yourself in that creation.

Mars and Venus were in exact conjunction last week at 20 Leo, and they are still traveling together this week. Let the inner child in you come out and play, create, take risks and celebrate life! When Mars (masculine) and Venus (feminine) come together, they CREATE. Be playful and romantic with your Love. If you’re single, you can use this energy to balance yourself, because all of us have a male and a female side.

Monday, July 19th: Moon void, then into Sagittarius at 2:08pm Pacific. The Moon makes six different aspects today, most of them positive. The day begins with the Scorpio Moon and Cancerian Sun trining Neptune over in Pisces. Imagination is enhanced and you can make breakthroughs in the areas of love and art.

Tuesday, July 20th: Moon in Sagittarius makes some lovely sextiles today. Before dawn, we have Mercury in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus, which can fire up our intellect AND bring surprises. Try new approaches to earthly matters, especially at work. Enjoy the optimistic mood as enter the orb of the Full Moon on Thursday. Life starts feeling different.

Wednesday, July 21st: Moon void, then into Capricorn at 3:36pm. The Moon is uncomfortable and heavy here, and authorities can be rigid and uncaring. Energy is hard to get off the ground, control issues arise along with power struggles. Keep a low profile today since we are in the orb of the Full Moon.

Thursday, July 22nd: Moon in Capricorn, and Sun into Leo at 7:26am Pacific. The Full Moon energy is powerful now, and today could be intense. The call to be free is strong. The Moon is positioning itself between Pluto AND Saturn, which creates positions or attitudes for change that we cannot escape. This is such a powerful placement. We HAVE to evolve right now, there’s no other choice. Be gentle with yourself and let it all flow through you.

Friday, July 23rd: Full Moon at 0 Aquarius at 7:37pm Pacific. It will be Full as it appears on the horizon, so try and climb a high peak and watch the Sunset and the Moon rise at the same time. This is a powerful, revolutionary Full Moon, and it’s the brightest of the year. Also, 0 and 1 degrees are the the most powerful degrees of any sign, so the nature of Aquarius i.e. independence, genius, science, courage, revolution, will all be at their highest within each of us. We start the day with the Moon void-of-course in Capricorn at 9:34am, then into Aquarius at 5:12pm. That’s a long void period, so again practice restraint. Today is a swim through aethers and different dimensions – perfect for artists and lovers. We are currently harvesting what we began in February, when the Sun was in Aquarius. The energies of this Full Moon will unfold over the week ahead as well as the next six months. We will have peak experiences with our ambitions, career, and personal story.

Saturday, July 24th: Moon in Aquarius on a Saturday is great for saturnian Magick, i.e. discipline, structure and focus. Moon makes a powerful conjunction with Saturn, adding intensity to the day, and Mercury trines Neptune, igniting our imaginations, and bringing intuitiveness to communications.

Sunday, July 25th: Moon in Aquarius goes void at 4:14pm Pacific, then into Pisces at 8:30pm. Follow predetermined plans, but have fun today! Mercury comes around and opposes Pluto, which can clear the air with meaningful conversations. Avoid power struggles.

Einstein on life

Colorized b&w photo – September 1939, Einstein on the beach near his Long Island summer home with friend and local dept store owner David Rothman. They formed a neighborhood string quartet together

Here are some insights from the one and only Albert Einstein. He is most known as a popular scientist who dramatically changed humanity’s engagement with the world. This post illuminates some of his equally amazing insights beyond the science and beyond the physical:

“I didn’t arrive at my understanding of the fundamental laws of the universe through my rational mind.”Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. Matter is spirit reduced to point of visibility.

There is no matter. Time and space are not conditions in which we live, but modes by which we think. Physical concepts are free creations of the human mind, and are not, however it may seem, determined by the external world. Time does not exist – we invented it. Time is what the clock says. The distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.

I think 99 times and find nothing. I stop thinking, swim in silence, and the truth comes to me. The intellect has little to do on the road to discovery. There comes a leap in consciousness, call it intuition or what you will, the solution comes to you and you don’t know how or why.

A human being experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Our separation from each other is an optical illusion.

When something vibrates, the electrons of the entire universe resonate with it. Everything is connected. The greatest tragedy of human existence is the illusion of separateness.

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one. We are souls dressed up in sacred biochemical garments and our bodies are the instruments through which our souls play their music. When you examine the lives of the most influential people who have ever walked among us, you discover one thread that winds through them all. They have been aligned first with their spiritual nature and only then with their physical selves.

The true value of a human being can be found in the degree to which he has attained liberation from the self. The ancients knew something, which we seem to have forgotten. The more I learn of physics, the more I am drawn to metaphysics. One thing I have learned in a long life: that all our science, measured against reality, is primitive and childlike. We still do not know one thousandth of one percent of what nature has revealed to us. It is entirely possible that behind the perception of our senses, worlds are hidden of which we are unaware.

I’m not an atheist. The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. The common idea that I am an atheist is based on a big mistake. Anyone who interprets my scientific theories this way, did not understand them.

Everything is determined, every beginning and ending, by forces over which we have no control. It is determined for the insect, as well as for the star. Human beings, vegetables, or cosmic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible piper.

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It will transcend a personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. Everything is energy and that is all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you can not help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.

I am happy because I want nothing from anyone. I do not care about money. Decorations, titles or distinctions mean nothing to me. I do not crave praise. I claim credit for nothing. A happy man is too satisfied with the present to dwell too much on the future.”

It’s about personal truths and realities right now. This week the Moon is waxing (growing bigger) as the Sun moves towards the last degrees of Cancer. We had a New Moon in Cancer last Friday, which is the Moon’s natural home, and one of the most personal signs of the zodiac. Cancer symbolizes our deep, emotional, inner worlds – the parts we don’t let everyone see – along with our homes and security. The focus is on our personal circumstances, emotional needs and embracing our true feelings. The sign of Cancer is created from the primordial waters that gestate and nurture new life, and healing the inner child is paramount.

The New Moon last Friday is really powerful BECAUSE it’s so personal. This is our roots, where we come from, our relationships with our mothers, our genes, DNA, psychological traumas, etc. It’s our annual chance to start anew with healing ourselves and refreshing the foundation of our lives BASED on this self healing. When we do this healing, we’re able to let more love and friendship into our lives. More reality. We become happier and deeply fulfilled. It’s a really big deal. Also, look at where you’ve taken on the attitudes and opinions of people around you – sometimes without being aware of where the feelings are coming from.

Mars and Venus are in exact conjunction this week at 20 Leo. Although it’s exact on Tuesday, it’s continuing for the whole month of July. This symbolizes heart-centered harmony between the sexes, since both of these planets are fairly happy in Leo. Here is the sabian symbol for 20° Leo:

The Zuni indians perform a ritual to the Sun ~ Man returning to nature and glorifying in the Sun, after the long crisis of civilized living in artificial cities. The dried up intellectual returns to nature. After having ruthlessly destroyed the native indigenous peoples, we come to them as examples of peaceful and harmonious group living.”
This is a return to the glorification of NATURAL ENERGIES! And we are celebrating. We are consciously linking ourselves to the source of all life here on Earth.

And we still have the “Big One” of 2021 – Saturn in Aquarius square to Uranus in Taurus. It’s major, disruptive, and if you have ANYTHING near 12 Aquarius, Taurus, Leo or Scorpio, it’s getting a major face lift this year. There are three exact squares between these two in 2021, and each one of them signifies the struggle between the “old guard”, and a new way of doing things. A new world is in the process of being born. This year is a turning point for society’s culture clock. The radical, young, tech oriented, diverse and progressive elements in our society are becoming our new leaders. Anyone holding onto outdated ways of doing things is in for a BIG shake up.

Monday, July 12th: Moon void-of-course in Leo ALL DAY!! Do what you gotta do, but avoid signing anything or taking risks. Follow plans you’ve already agreed to during this incredibly long void period. The good news is there are lovely aspects today – the biggest being Mercury trine Jupiter. Mercury went into Cancer yesterday, and immediately trined Jupiter in Pisces, which greatly expands our imaginations and creativity. It will be in play for the next few days. Writers and creative people can access divine inspiration this week.

Tuesday, July 13th: Virgo Moon brings order, health and discipline; watch out for self criticism or self doubt. The Moon makes a lovely sextile to Mercury in the pre-dawn hours, uniting our minds and emotions. At 6:33am Pacific, Mars and Venus make a powerful conjunction at 18 Leo, uniting hearts, ambitions and lovers! The yin and the yang, masculine and feminine, coming together and uniting.

Wednesday, July 14th: Moon in Virgo trines Uranus, and opposes Neptune. Watch for surprises or sudden events – especially involving health, work or possessions. Be open to trying new approaches to health or work related issues.

Thursday, July 15th: Moon in Libra trines Pluto and squares Mercury later on, but the most powerful energy occurs in the middle of the night when the Sun trines Neptune. This is another window to the divine, giving us an easy connection. Send up some prayers to your Higher Power to help clarify and clear your forward path.

Friday, July 16th: Moon in Libra, and Venus semi-sextile to Neptune in the middle of the night. There will be messages in your dreams. This is the perfect date night, and with Venus in Leo, it’s a great opportunity to see top performances. Art, women, creativity, parties, love – all are enhanced today.

Saturday, July 17th: Moon in Libra, then into Scorpio at 11:38am Pacific. The Moon makes five different aspects before dawn, then a trine with Jupiter at 1:23pm Pacific! It’s a busy day, there will be lots of news and socializing. Then around 3:45pm Pacific, we have the powerful Sun opposing Pluto. This happens once a year, and will be with us for the next few days. Our ambitions will be tested and reevaluated to see if they can stand the stresses of our world.

Sunday, July 18th: Moon in Scorpio! Visit the ocean, or hang out by a pool. The Scorpio Moon brings out the truth, but also makes people sensitive, so avoid social complications. With the Moon in Scorpio it’s a witchy day. Remember, if a boundary needs to be set, today is the day.

There are a couple powerful aspects this week with Mars. It will oppose Saturn, and then square Uranus; both of which can be tense and explosive. Also, last Thursday’s Full Moon in Capricorn is still unfolding, so stay calm this week and avoid arguments. The Dark of the Moon/4th quarter begins this Thursday, July 1st, and is waning until Friday, July 9th, when we have a New Moon in Cancer. The next two weeks are full of squares and other challenging aspects, so tensions could be high. Take excellent care of yourself; get good rest, good food and good company.

Mercury went Direct last Tuesday, and is barely moving. When a planet is stationary, before it starts picking up speed again, it’s powers are said to be very concentrated. This is a powerful time to speak and be visible! Need to clear the air? This is a great time to do it. Say what you NEED and let people know what you’re feeling, just do it calmly. What message do you want to send out about yourself or interests? What do you want people to notice about you, and what do you want to accomplish? Think about these things as Mercury begins to move forward.

Monday, June 28th: Moon into Pisces at 10:51am Pacific, and Venus entered Leo in the night. Venus loves being in Leo. Women will be creative, strong, and heart centered over the next several weeks. Venus inconjunct Jupiter is exact today. Watch out for overindulging and risk taking. Be gentle with yourself and have some fun. Everything cheers up in the evening with the Moon conjunct Jupiter.

Tuesday, June 29th: Moon in Pisces trines the Sun in Cancer. Fluffy-watery-Neptune day could have us seeking emotional security. Give yourself whatever you need – a nice dinner, phone calls with friends, or maybe solitude. It’s all good, just follow your instincts. This combination brings out emotions, music and creativity. Moon sextile Uranus in the afternoon could bring some surprises.

Wednesday, June 30th: Moon in Pisces goes void-of-course at 10:40am, then into Aries 6:21pm Pacific. That’s such a long void period! Follow plans and focus on the work in front of you. Keep your calm while driving, or dealing with insecure, headstrong people. There’s a feeling of rebirth today, so be in tune with what you’re birthing in your life.

Thursday, July 1st: Moon in Aries and five aspects! The big one is at 6:08am – the major opposition between Saturn in Aquarius and Mars in Leo. We’ve been building up to this all week. Both Mars and Saturn are “malefics”, capable of bringing destructive forces and major power struggles. Mars already wants to be in charge, but in Leo he’s a raging narcissist about it. Meanwhile, Saturn in Aquarius is on the side of humanity and forward progress. These two major planets agree on drive, ambition and hard work, so these are the best things to focus on this week. Moon trine Mars in the evening gives us industrious ways to work through the intensity.

Friday, July 2nd: Moon in Aries. Today is the eye of the hurricane. We’re still feeling the big forces at work from yesterday, but there’s big stuff coming tomorrow. Keep a cool head and engage in calm communications. Mercury sextile the Moon is the only aspect today, and that helps us understand each other.

Saturday, July 3rd: Moon in Taurus. The Sun is inconjunct Saturn, which brings struggles with authority figures. Your ego could be challenged, or you’ll find there’s more hard work to be done.
THEN we have Mars in Leo square to Uranus in Taurus! Talk about irritability!
This brings conflicts about boundaries and who’s in charge; also conflicts between responsibilities and the need for independence. Suppressed drives can rise to the surface demanding release. The houses that Taurus and Leo occupy in your chart are the way to make peace. You can look it up for yourself on astro.com, or go to my appointments page for 15 minute phone reading.

Sunday, July 4th: Moon in Taurus forms five different aspects, three of which are tense squares. eesh… Hopefully the fireworks will stay in the sky and out of our personal lives. Take it easy, and validate where you have independence in your life.
