Week of July 21st: Full Moon at 5 Capricorn

Sun at 5 Cancer
Mercury DIRECT at 1 Leo
Venus at 17 Cancer
Mars at 5 Taurus
Jupiter at 17 Taurus
Saturn RETROGRADE at 23 Aquarius (rulership)
Neptune RETROGRADE 4 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 5 Capricorn
North Node at 14 Pisces

The full Moon yesterday was conjunct Pluto, and it demands we connect with our shadow sides. It’s an earthy, Saturnian, Capricorn Full Moon conjunct Pluto, which has us drill down and get honest about our lives. This powerful event is likely to expose uncomfortable truths and bring up unprocessed pain from our past that is now ready to be felt and acknowledged. What’s the reality of your life, and what needs tending to? Is something blocking you from moving forward?

If it sounds heavy, it is. Capricorn is a disciplined sign, and there’s no goofing off. It demands hard work in order to earn rewards. This is the fruition of what’s been building this month, and it engages Pluto: the planet of shadow and transformation. We will end the month in a different place than where we started. The energies of this Full Moon will unfold over the week ahead as well as the next six months. We will have peak experiences with our ambitions, career, and personal story.

The Capricorn Full Moon is especially relevant for those of us born with planets in the early degrees of Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). This Moon gives opportunities to recognize the deeper lessons behind repetitive cycles and patterns we continuously get caught in, bringing the spotlight on unprocessed past pain that needs their presence and attention.

Also, the Moon is in her detriment here – uncomfortable, heavy, and unable to express herself. Authorities will be rigid and uncaring. Energy is hard to get off the ground, control issues arise along with power struggles.

Week of July 15th: Mars conjunct Uranus

TODAY, July 15th, 2024 we have a conjunction between Mars and Uranus, just 1/2 a degree apart, at 0° Taurus. This is a significant aspect that last occurred in 1936! Because it’s at the start or seed of Taurus (0°), current developments will set the tone for awhile.

We are finally getting “unstuck”, and energy is opening up! If you’ve been in limbo in some corner of your life, you’ll find renewed energy and clarity about how to move forward.

This aspect could lead to sudden changes and shifts, especially in areas related to Taurus, such as money, values, and environment.

Thus in fear and trembling the Superior person sets their life in order and examines themself.~ The I Ching (hexagram 51)

This conjunction gives us the courage to stand up and stand out; to demand the freedom to live your own life. It is a restless and excitable aspect. In an atmosphere in which many are feeling stuck, Mars/Uranus can be the catalyst to get us un-stuck, and to see things in a whole new light.

Week of July 8th: New Moon in Gemini

Current Sidereal Placements:
Sun at 22 Gemini
Mercury at 14 Cancer
Venus at 0 Cancer
Mars at 25 Aries (rulership)
Jupiter at 14 Taurus
Saturn RETROGRADE at 24 Aquarius (rulership)
Uranus at 0 Taurus
Neptune RETROGRADE at 4 Pisces (rulership)
Pluto RETROGRADE at 6 Capricorn
North Node at 15 Pisces

We had a New Moon at 20 Gemini last Friday. Every New Moon is a new beginning, and this one brings a change in attitude. The urge to get out and socialize will be strong, but a trine with Saturn asks us to keep our boundaries and practice self discipline too. This New Moon is great for activities requiring mental fortitude – especially study. Focus on simplifying your life.

The difficult news, is Mars traveling through the end of Aries and burning us all up in the process. This transit brings extreme heat, fires, battles, explosions, eruptions, and general drama. I’ve never experienced this current two week long heat wave before in my life. Every day we have temperatures over 105° and it’s overwhelming. I’m sad for the future of our society and planet.

There are some lovely sextiles happening this week. The first, between Mercury at 14 Cancer and Jupiter at 14 Taurus. While Mercury isn’t happy slogging through Cancer, we can focus our attentions and communication to our financial security during this time. The most interesting sextile, is the one between Venus and Uranus both at 0° Cancer and Taurus respectively. This is a complete reset in our relationships and friendships; but with Uranus in the mix, some events could take us by surprise. Be thoughtful and speak sincerely.

Astrology Week of June 10th

Mars enters Taurus today, bringing a refocus on our work, love, animals, and living arrangements. Slow down, take stock of your life right now, get grounded, and spend time with nature. This is also a lovely romantic transit.

Venus, the planet of Love and Creativity, is still traveling close with the Sun and going through a transformation, emerging as the morning star in the next few weeks.

Mars is squaring Pluto over the next few days, which brings tests to our evolution and life path. Be present with anger, and avoid battles with others because they can escalate with this transit. Mars through Taurus continues with a sextile to Saturn in Pisces (July 10th), and a conjunction to Uranus (July 16th) and ends with sextile to Neptune on July 24th. In this month Saturn and Neptune are also stationing retrograde adding to the need for careful and well considered moves.

Uranus conjunct Natal Venus Transit: Impact on Houses

When Uranus conjuncts your natal Venus in a transit, it signifies a period of significant and often unexpected changes in your love life, relationships, and personal values. Uranus is the planet of innovation, unpredictability, and liberation, and its conjunction with Venus, which represents love, relationships, and aesthetic preferences, can bring about a range of effects. Here’s a general overview of what this transit might entail:

Sudden and Unexpected Love: One of the most common manifestations of Uranus conjunct Venus is the sudden onset of romantic feelings or relationships. You may find yourself attracted to someone unexpectedly, and this connection can be intense and electric.

Social Transformation: Your social circle may undergo shifts as you gravitate toward people who share your progressive views on love and relationships. You might lose connections with those who resist your newfound sense of individuality and independence.

Embracing Self-Love: Uranus conjunct Venus can prompt you to explore self-love and self-acceptance on a deeper level. You may come to appreciate your own uniqueness and prioritize your personal happiness and fulfillment.

Rebellion in Relationships: Some relationships may experience tension or conflict as you assert your desire for independence and non-conformity. Open and honest communication will be essential in navigating these challenges.

New and Exciting Experiences: This transit can lead to exciting and stimulating experiences in your love life and personal relationships. You may engage in adventurous activities and experiment with new forms of romance and intimacy.

Embracing Change: Overall, Uranus conjunct Venus encourages you to embrace change and personal growth in the realm of love and personal values. While the unpredictability of Uranus can be unsettling, it also offers opportunities for greater authenticity, excitement, and fulfillment in your relationships and personal life.

Pan

“Pan is the Greek God of the wild, the inspirer of panic.

He is half-human and half-goat, and His name simply means “All”.

He is said to haunt the wild places of Arcadia in Greece, and the pipes He invented are named for Him.”

April 8th: New Moon Eclipse!

April 8, 2024 – In addition to the eclipse, It’s Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks, also known as the ‘devil comet’ (is visible to the naked eye now and during the event), the eight main planets will align. Solar activity could be low during this though Sunspot 3628 will be directly pointed towards Earth during the totality. Hopefully filament strands from the Sun will be visible.
This event has been recorded through history as a major event that shifts the planet and life. I guess we shall see…

“Staying focused on the eight main planets, it’s also uncommon for all eight planets to even be in the same part of the sky; this occurs every few thousand years and was last recorded in 949 C.E. Astronomers predict the next planetary alignment will occur will be on the night of May 6, 2492.”

What houses will both of the eclipses be transiting in your chart? That’s the area of life that will likely be affected.

5° Libra

19° Aries

I want to share the Sabian Symbol for Sun entering Aries, and the start of Spring. Today is the real New Year – when the Sun moves to 0 degrees Aries. Here’s Dane Rudhyar‘s insight into what this day means! Happy Spring:

PHASE 1 (ARIES 1°): A WOMAN JUST RISEN FROM THE SEA. A SEAL IS EMBRACING HER.

KEYNOTE: Emergence of new forms and of the potentiality of consciousness.

This is the first of the 360 phases of a universal and multilevel cyclic process which aims at the actualization of a particular set of potentialities. These potentialities, in the Sabian symbols, refer to the development of man’s individualized consciousness — the consciousness of being an individual person with a place and function (a “destiny”) in the planetary organism of the Earth, and in a particular type of human society and culture.

To be individually conscious means to emerge out of the sea of generic and collective consciousness — which to the emerged mind appears to be unconsciousness. Such an emergence is the primary event. It is the result of some basic action: a leaving behind, an emerging from a womb or matrix, here symbolized by the sea.

Such an action is not to be considered a powerful, positive statement of individual being. In the beginning is the Act; but it is often an imperceptible, insecure act. The small tender germ out of the seed does not loudly proclaim its existence. It has to pierce through the crust of the soil still covered with the remains of the past. It is all potentiality and a minimum of actual presence.

In the symbol, therefore, the emergent entity is a Woman; symbolically speaking, a form of existence still close to the unconscious depths of generic biological nature, filled with the desire to be rather than self-assertion. The woman is seen embraced by a seal because the seal is a mammal which once had experienced a biological, evolutionary but relatively unconscious emergence, yet which retraced its steps and “returned to the womb” of the sea. The seal, therefore, represents a regressive step. It embraces the Woman who has emerged, because every emergent process at first is susceptible to failure. This process is indeed surrounded by the memory, the ghosts of past failures during previous cycles. The impulse upward is held back by regressive fear or insecurity; the issue of the conflict depends on the relative strength of the future-ward and the past-ward forces.

The possibility of success and that of failure is implied throughout the entire process of actualization. Every release of potentiality contains this two-fold possibility. It inevitably opens up two paths: one leads to “perfection” in consciousness, the other to “disintegration” – the return to the undifferentiated state (the state of humus, manure, cosmic dust – i.e. to the symbolic “great Waters of space,” to chaos)

This symbol characterizes the first of five stages which are repeated at three levels. This stage represents the initial statement, or theme, of the five-fold series which refers to the first level: IMPULSE TO BE.”

Celebrating the Full Moon in Virgo today with the ring of the Virgin Queen

“This is what the ring looks like closed — diamonds in the shape of an “E” laid over the letter “R” surrounded by rubies and off-set by a pearl. The ring officially resides at Chequers, the official country residence of the Prime Minister — however, it has been on exhibit several times, most recently at the National Portrait Gallery.”

“The passing of Elizabeth I on March 24, 1603, revealed that the ring she wore most of her adult life opened — inside were the portraits of herself and her mother Anne Boleyn — beheaded in 1536 by her father King Henry VIII. Elizabeth had kept the contents of the ring a secret.”
