How strong does Pluto figure in your astrological chart? Below is a VERY interesting take on how Pluto effects you! Look up your chart for free at astro.com and then take the test below. You’ll need to have some experience with astrology.

I’m extremely Plutonian! I scored 83 on this thing!! Let me know your score in the comments below.

From Donna Cunningham:

“Would you be considered a Plutonian person? You would if Pluto, the sign Scorpio, and the 8th house are strong in your birth chart. Below is a test to give these chart features a score and then a description of what that score says about you.  While there aren’t any scientific measurements of a planet’s strength, I’ve assigned number scores to certain chart factors, based on 40 years of doing charts professionally.

Full article here: https://skywriter.wordpress.com/2010/01/16/how-strong-is-your-pluto-here%E2%80%99s-the-score/

In each of the categories below, add the total score of all the factors that apply to that item, and write the total on the blank. Then add all the items up to find out how your Pluto ranks.

What does “Being a Plutonian” Mean?Pluto Donna Cunningham Skywriter

Pluto has a wide range of expressions. At the unevolved level, Plutonians can engage in manipulating or coercing others, abuses of power, battles for control, resentments and grievances, failing for spite, and being a target of other people’s projections.

At the evolved level, the expressions can include transforming, healing, and empowering themselves and people and conditions they care about. Plutonians can have a natural gift for psychology, the healing arts, and understanding what makes people tick.

Pluto Issues: Power and control, trust, to discover and analyze what lies beneath the surface and eliminate the undesirable, separateness, holding on to things or feelings, revenge, death and endings, rebirth, healing, and transformation.

Worldly matters associated with Pluto/Scorpio:  healing, psychology, sexuality, wealth, uses and abuses of power, corruption and dirty dealing, secrets, exposes, occult, death and the afterlife, national and personal debt, stocks.

Examples of Plutonian occupations: psychotherapist, healer, medium, past life therapist, researcher, grief counselor, OB/GYN staff, cancer treatment, sex therapist, insurance agent, financial planner, stock broker.

Interpreting your Scores—ARE you a Plutonian?
No brief interpretation can fully explore Pluto’s status in an individual chart, but below are some qualities you might find in someone who has a strong Pluto vs. one with few supporting chart features.  (You’ll find more detailed interpretations in my hardcopy book, Healing Pluto Problems.  Kindle version at Amazon.com.)

If you had a high score, you’re an over-achiever in the matters of Pluto: You’re probably a Plutonian and therefore extremely strong in some the qualities listed above—the positive ones, the negative ones, or more likely both ends of the spectrum at once.  You may alternate between isolation and being joined at the hip in obsessive relationships; in the worst of times, you could be controlling; mistrustful; emotional intensity; bitter, vengeful. And/or you may be dedicated to healing yourself, and as you learn how to do that, can become a natural healer and catalyst in the lives of people around you.

If you had a low score, you may be an under-achiever in the matters of Pluto:If your score is down in the single digits, you may be lacking in some of the qualities listed above. You may not often look deeply within and may be missing important psychological insights that could help you change undesirable patterns. When you have a bad setback, you may take longer to mobilize yourself to come back from it.

On the bright side, you’re probably pretty easy going and not likely to carry grudges or harbor plans for revenge. Until you’re challenged by Pluto transits—like the Pluto-Uranus-Saturn cardinal t-square of 2010-12, you might not give a rat’s behind about transforming your self or your world.”

Full Moon in Leo

Zigs

David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust

Moon is full in Leo at 5:46pm Pacific. Explore your creativity this weekend and let yourself stand out. Have fun and play with some unstructured time. This enhances your imagination which is oh so important.

Retrograde Mercury crossed Pluto in Capricorn yesterday, and we are feeling the influence of this aspect. Sure we want to be playful like Leo the Lion, but we want to create a reality for ourselves thats in line with our DNA.

Our ideas about our lives are becoming serious and grounded.  Pluto is evolution, Mercury is expression and Capricorn climbs a path that angels fear to tread. We will not give up on expressing our deepest nature – and if necessary we will restructure our lives so we can be free. We destroy that which no longer serves us so we can rebirth ourselves. That’s a big part of Pluto’s influence.

Oddly enough this full Moon falls at the same degree as Bowie’s natal Moon at at 3° Leo, and the Sun today sits directly on his Aquarian ascendent at 3° Aquarius! Whoa. The consummate performer, wildly creative and revolutionary.

Fred Astaire’s birth chart

I was a ballet dancer for a brief time in my youth, and I remember the leaders of the troupe  watching Fred Astaire over and over again… studying his movements. I saw Fred Astaire in a movie recently and got curious about his planetary placements. For instance, here he is playing the drums with his feet:

He seemed so Gemini – such lightness of movement. So I looked it up and thought I’d share it with you. And there it is!

Neptune, Pluto and the Moon in Gemini in his 6th House of WORK. Pluto and Moon in Gemini is a powerful and evolutionary path of self expression. Neptune actually in the 7th House, giving him an intuition about his partners.

Never guessed Sun in Taurus, but such a creative, fruitful placement in the 5th House of Creativity and Romance! Opposing Jupiter in Scorpio: he had depth but all in all a romantic, intelligent and friendly guy. That Libra midheaven trining the Gemini aspects accentuated his role as leading man.

And all this action around his Rising in Sagittarius! Vertex, Uranus, Saturn and the North Node of Fate. His basic approach to the world was freedom, truth and meaning.

He was the real deal. Uranus in Sagittarius is a revolutionary – someone who stretches boundaries, but Saturn nearby keeps him grounded and hard working.

Mars (and Lilith) in Leo – driven towards fame, performance, leadership and finesse. That Lilith in Leo giving him a primal slant that sets him apart from all others.
Anyone care to add more? I’d love to hear your insights! An if there’s a famous person’s chart you’d like me to do, let me know!

See Spirits of Nature: Venus 5 degrees Virgo

Venus is currently at 5 degrees Virgo. The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A man becoming aware of nature spirits and normally unseen spiritual energies.”

Have you noticed the spirit world in a peculiar way this week? This Sabian Symbol is active, AND we’re approaching Halloween. Autumn is the time of year when the veil between our world and the spirit world is at it’s thinnest point of the year.

Walk around in nature and take in the change of season. The air smells different, the light is lower… it’s truly an amazing time! Spirits are nothing to be afraid of by the way. They often appear on waking or sleeping or in the corner of your eye.

From the expert on Sabian Symbols, Lynda Hill:

“This Symbol implies strong feelings of another level of awareness around you. Your rational mind is, at times, being overshadowed by intuitive thoughts and feelings. Your imagination or spirituality is showing a clearer path to understanding and knowledge. Equipped to see the invisible, you penetrate into the mystical levels of life. There may be messages to bring back into your waking consciousness.

This can show a creative, attuned mind that can perceive subtle phenomena, shifts and changes in the environment. Tap into your clairvoyance, but don’t be thrown off track by it.

Creative fantasies. Fairy tales. Seeing things or just imagining them? Fantasizing about people or experiences. Attuned minds. Seeing entities. Fairies. Nature spirits.

The Caution: Confusion or lack of true perspective. Time wasted. Being a space cadet. Losing the plot. Mental institutions. Not being taken seriously. Schizophrenia. Skepticism.”

Venus Direct: Love moves forward

This is a week of culmination.

The planet Venus returned to Direct (forward) motion on Sunday at 14 degrees Leo. Since June 22nd she’s retraced her steps – setting off a purge of toxic sludge from our relationships. It’s a 44 day re-calibration that happens once every two years. Each of us experienced a transformation of how we view our partnerships. There’s new clarity on what’s working and what not. Some people shifted out of outworn relationships and still others found a soul mate. We were forced to let go and allow the universe to guide us to our next phase.

We’ve gleaned wisdom from our depths.

Now that Venus is direct we can assimilate all these wonderful insights. It’s time to get real with yourself and what you really want – and with this event happening in Leo it’s OK to put yourself first. In fact it’s recommended you do that from now on.

Leo is the sign of the Sun and rules heart, meaning, playfulness, accomplishment and being noticed. Leo is the leader, wants the best of everything and demands dignity and respect. If you’re not getting your fair amount of stage time and attention in your relationship, then sit back on your throne and kick that foolishness to the curb. Embrace the Queen or King in you!

Assimilation is the key word for the rest of September as the Sun and Jupiter roll through Virgo together. They join up with the Moon this weekend for a New Moon Eclipse! This heralds a powerful rebirth towards achieving our goals.

This week is the dark of the moon… the prelude to Saturday’s eclipse in Virgo. Wrap up loose ends and prepare for rebirth. It’s time to clean up our mess and streamline our lives. Let go of people that suck your energy, and set boundaries with relationships that aren’t going anywhere. Dig deep.
